Issues With Event
Ok I was excited this past weekend after seeing the cosmetics that were part of the event and was expecting a much easier time getting the invites.....wow was I wrong.
I can't play during the week because of my Job so I started this past weekend. I played over 100 matches and only found 1 invite. I know the invite moves around every so often and it's supposed to have a audio clue and aura when your close. But in most of the matches no audio clue was triggered and no Aura was seen....even on the one I found there was no Aura for me to find it.
How is someone who can't spend hours upon hours able to complete this buggy event.

I got all my masks on my second day as a killer main, but for the last 2 days I found so many invitations as a survivor ... I guess its all part of the mindset: if you REALLY want to find them, you are way too unflexible in your mind and focus on the wrong things. If you wanna do it as a survivor, just play the game normally and every now and then you should just stumble over an invitation. The conditions on survivors are a bit more strict, but not unfairly. Its just IN YOUR MIND!

My advice, dont look for em. I spent an entire match as killer ignoring survs and never found one.
Started playing normal matches, now I see them all over the place.... got all masks now though

I tried that and yes I found more as survivor but every time when the killer saw the sparkle they tunneled me and camped until I was dead. Also I'm not inflexible as Killer most of the time I don't bother with survivors but when I do that gens fly and they leave before I can fully search.

Yeah same, I've been seeing them a lot more often now that I have every mask unlocked haha
But the aura reading should have a bigger radius than what it has now

Dang, thats mean! I usually go easy on sparkly survivors, this far into the event I don't let them go all the time, but I generally try to drag th game out and go for 8 hooks if possible; accidents happen, though.

I agree with that. I only have this weekend to try and find them but I fear because everyone will already have them it will be the Winter event all over again.

Yea I would understand if it was a accident that he death hooked me but tunneling me because I was sparkling was annoying.

Just want to chime in and say they changed it where killers don't see the sparkle from accepting the invite anymore, other than roughly the first five seconds from when you grabbed it. Not gonna defend them from camping/tunneling you out, but unless they saw you take the invite it probably wasn't fueled by that.

You only get the sound cue when you bring a flan.

They were definitely hard to find at first, but now since I have all my masks, I usually pass them every game I play killer. I sometimes even stop and pick it up for the extra bp it gives. My best advice is to just take normal chases around the map and you'll find it eventually mid-chase. The aura reading is only within 2 meters so don't rely on seeing an aura and there isn't a sound cue to the location but just a sound cue to when it spawns/moves. I think it's harder this year because there isn't a sound cue when you're close and it kind of blends into the background on some maps.
I'm not 100% sure but I think they changed the sparkles so that only the person playing can see them. I don't think other players can see that you have sparkles around yourself. As survivor as well, you just need the exit gates to be opened to get your mask, once the exit gates have opened then you should be good.

Maybe that's why I saw someone say they been using dead dawg item as much as they can

My suggestion would be to do it on killer.. You can flat out ignore the survivors and just look for the invitations.. It's boring but you don't have to do anything other than grabbing it on killer to unlock stuff

Oh and.. One main reason they're harder to find than previous years is because there's only 12 this year.. Previous years there were one for each non licensed character, which was close to 30-35 (can't be bothered to look up the exact number) and you had to play the specific character to unlock it..
But yeah it still sucks never finding it when you're actively looking for it but stumbling into it all the time when you're not

Yea I was doing that but if I don't slow them down they will just up and leave lol.

Nah, survivors love waiting at the exit gate to teabag the killer, they won't leave if you're not there to wave them goodbye ๐ (actually had a few games where I found my masks during the collapse with the survivors waiting at the exit gate, they left as soon as I showed up)

Well hopefully I get Survivors that want to teabag me so I can find the dam Invites....all I have is Trickster and I don't even own the flamboyant knife boi

I haven't escorted a lot survivors at all the past month. I know its wastes my time, too, but I just watch some youtube videos. Its the only way that MAYBE educate a few of them eventually. I know that certain habits are hard to drop, but ya'll can do it! Curb this overwhelming urge to t-bag that killer one more time, just to make sure they know you won :)

Yeah unless I'm actively chasing them when they reach the gate I won't bother seeing them out either, I'll just roam the map looking for pallets and walls to break. And if they're not opening the gates within the next minute I'll just go open one for them (if the last generator is done while I'm not chasing anyone, or I lose track of whoever I was after, I don't just go open the gates if I'm in a chase, just if there's no point in the game anymore)

Yeah. I agree. Pretty hard to find. Two left for me, but damn. I also think if you're within 24 meters it shouldn't move. Pretty disappointing to see one after games of not seeing any, only for it to move away.
But oh well.

Do it on Wraith. You can search the map really quickly.
