What are your favorite changes in the upcoming patch?
I'm very excited about most of the changes and can't wait to try them out on the next PTB. I play both sides equally in DBD and these are my first thoughts on the changes (and certainly not the final ones):
Pros:
The new prestige system just sounds great and will save me a lot of grind. I also like the basekit changes on both killers and survivors. I also agree with most of the perk nerfs like DH, NOED, CI, PGTW, DS. It's also very nice to give some love to unpopular perks like lightweight, botany knowledge. Thumbs up!
Cons:
10 seconds more time on the gens may be necessary from a killer point of view, but it also leads to more M1 simulator. New Overcharge sounds pretty strong, maybe too strong. The new Monstrous Shrine could spawn a new generation of Basement Bubbas/Trappers.
Well, I'm definitely happy about the bold decisions made by the devs and I'm confident that things are going in the right direction. I mean we can only speculate, but only experience will show where changes are still needed.
What do you think?

I have Overcharge on some killers already so I’m looking for to the buff. 🙂 Also to trying a Scourge Hook build with Monstrous Shrine and an aura based loadout with Lethal Pursuer.

Yeah the gen speed sounds bad on paper but with the reduction of regression from killer perks they probably average out the same time.
I'm very excited for it overall, the only perks i run that got nerfed are Corrupt and Spine Chill so my builds won't change much from this. The killer QOL changes to kicking gens, successful hit cooldowns are very welcomed.
At the same time i'm very concerned given the large scale of this update that there will definitely be new builds people will find that are ridiculously good and won't get changed for months.

i wonder if overcharge will work with call of brine at all?

New prestige system and matchmaking incentives sound great. For the perk sweep, Overcharge and Botany look fun to play with, and Distortion finally got a solid buff that makes it viable.

Keep in mind that Monstrous Shrine only works if the killer is further than 24m, so I dont think itll spawn more basement bubbas/trappers

Killer action speed increases, that's gonna feel soooo good- I already run Brutal Strength on a few killers, that might increase if this all hits live.

Prestige system, matchmaking incentives, the base kit changes to killer/survivor are all really welcome changes. Meta perks being shifted and made weaker is also a huge plus - I'm eager to see different perks. I actually think we'll see Overcharge semi frequently now, which is cool to see!

For me there's only two things that concerns me:
- Dead Hard's activation: It will have a indication that have been activate? It will take some time to activate?
- Off the Record: This whole perk concerns me right now.
Other than that, I happy with the majority changes, but there's others that I sad within:
- Jolt: They removed the cooldown (which is awesome), but they keep the M1 only restriction.
- Lethal Pursuer: The secondary effect is cool, but too little. I think they should pump up to 4~6secs.
- Thana: With the gens speed increased it is a decent/good perk now, but it will probably be so boring to play against as survivor. Especially against Plague and Legion. I really wanted a rework for this perk.

That's right. But a lot of killers can camp well from a distance (e.g. Nurse, Billy, Demo, Hag, Twins...) Combined with "Pain Resonance" and "Meg Your Choice" this could get annoying.

I'm planning the same, gonna go full aura artist with lethal persuer. They'll know I have LP since there's no way I'll be able to resist firing birds at them immediately. Just gotta hope no one has object 😅

I was wondering that too, but I think for the first 30 seconds the 400% debuff is from Overcharge and after that it's the 200% debuff from Call of Brian.

My big positives:
-Scratched mirror and Ghost will be even better now
-Off the record is worth using
-Healing is MUCH more dynamic
-Scourge basement
-Kicking gens feels worthwhile
-Ruin forces killers to avoid tunneling and camping
-Corrupt isn't as obnoxious
-Lucky Break and distortion can both be recharged
-Tinkerer is less obnoxious
-Goodbye pain resonance meta
-New prestige system is great
-Shrine changes are fantastic
-Love the generator speed changes (I never use gen slow down perks)
-Killers are becoming more threatening (albeit slowly)
My big cons:
-WGLF changes mean that I'm MUCH less likely to play aggressively
-I think NOED could have been handled better
-Calm Spirit nerf was uncalled for (30% slower cleansing speed)
-Pharmacy was totally destroyed
-Dead Hard was buffed for some odd reason
Many more positives coming with this update than negatives imo.

I already enjoyed running a sonic speed Legion build with Brutal Strength + Fire Up + Bamboozle + BBQ (greedy)
Very happy to try that out with the base kit kick speed increases and swap BBQ out for another perk that improves or at least synergizes with vault/kick speeds!

Typically effects stack unless they explicitly say otherwise so I’m pretty sure they will combo.

No, it is not that way that works:
When you kick a gen with Overcharge the regression goes from 100% to 400% in this 30 seconds, after that the gen will keep regressing with the 400% as long a survivor go stop it.
If you have Call of brine, instead of the regression starting at 100%, it will start at 200%. So combine CoB with Overcharge will make the gen regress from 200% to 400% in 30secs.

Unless I've misread, Hope has been buffed. It was already pretty strong, it may be META now.

When using hope (OOPS I MEANT CALM SPIRIT) you now cleanse totems and open chests more slowly. That's a big enough downside to keep me from touching that one ever again.
As for Pharmacy, I regularly run that perk and the changes made certainly do not instill me with confidence. I've been using it as a fun casual perk but now I feel as though I'm going to be forced to run circle of healing over it.
WGLF I may have been too quick to judge. The buff it was given sounds great but I'm worried that the playstyle I had built around it may not feel as satisfying.

I meant Calm spirit. My bad.

Yes, I enjoyed playing with Hope earlier here and there. I will definitely use it more often in the future, maybe in combination with Sole Survivor.

I think you mean Calm Spirit and not Hope.

uh oh

Thanks for the explanation, that makes sense. I thought the 400% debuff would activate immediately 🙈

yeah base-kit 10% stbfl and 0.2 second loss on survivor's sprint burst from health-states will reduce power-lvl of shift-w for survivor. mini-brutal strength will also help.

Yes, I agree. I know it doesn't sound like much, but in DBD, seconds make the difference between win and loss.
