New Killer Meta
Overcharge (definitely) Monstrous shrine, Thana, noed(same but more fair)
Comments
-
Jolt because it doesn't have a cooldown anymore
8 -
Overcharge, Call of Brine, Thanataphobia, and Dying Light on plague is going to be interesting.
4 -
You're way off.
2 -
Wait does overcharge and brine stack???
0 -
all they did was nerf solo survivor which is already a miserable experience, and only slightly nerf the 4man squad swf. as per usual the solo is left on its own. poor new or casual survivors starting the game won't know what hit them.
6 -
Monstrous Shrine? After how hard they nerfed PR? Yeah, no.
0 -
Based off what others are saying, it looks like it :O
0 -
Why shrine with no other scourge perks?
I've always used overcharge; happy to see it getting a free buff.
Thana definitely to counter new OTR. OTRs also gonna make noed less useful; I'd recommend brine to compliment overcharge, or a scourge perk to compliment shrine.

What will be meta build for 4.4 killers, because, it not interesting for 4.4 killers walking and kicking generators.
0 -
So Overcharge, brine, dragons grasp, pop, you touch it you die
1 -
My usual loadout is overcharge, dying light, tremors, and nurse. I'll probably switch out dying light for Thana.
0 -
pretty much.
0 -
Jolt, pain res, currupt iron maiden

Survivor meta = uninstall dead by daylight and find a better game than gen simulator 2.0
2 -
Overcharge isn't that great to me.
It starts at 100% and needs to regress for 10 seconds before it gets to the 200% that Call of Brine starts at immediately, and then it needs 30 seconds to reach its maximum benefit and if a generator isn't touched again for over 30 seconds then the survivors have moved to another area and that gen would have been dead regardless of the enhanced regression.
Now Call of Brine stacked with Overcharge would be good, but if I had to pick between the two, I'd pick Call of Brine because most of the time generators are going to be tapped or touched before Overcharge can really ramp up.
0 -
they stack so people are gonna pick the two together
0 -
That's been the killer meta for the last 3-4 years. Only replace gen simulator with looping simulator :P
3 -
Would you rather run from a killer or sit there and hold a button for 90 seconds? Killer is going to also get boring since it wont take anything to down survivors.
0 -
Survivor meta= play Civ
0 -
New killer meta is 4 slowdowns without ruin. You're welcome.
0 -
Dont know what civ is but ill be playing evil dead or squad lol.
0 -
jolt doesnt work with m2, but, maybe.
0 -
Pain Resonance is still 15% regression per hook, I’m still going to use it.
0 -
Corrupt intervention is still good and the nerf is fair, it's one of the best changes I will still use it.
Thanatophobia don't really need a buff imo but we'll see, i'd say thana will be meta it's the perfect killer perk, passive, annoying, you don't need to think too much about it, will be broken on legion
0 -
I think both are boring and it's too early to tell how the proposed changes will affect the game.
1 -
No its not bro literally hide and seek all new meta for survivors is bring every gen speed perk since looping is gone and bring a bnp to make it go even faster. Its the only way to counter the killer now.
0 -
Both things are stale. There needs to be something new altogether.
0 -
This sounds an awful lot like when a new killer is teased and before he even hits the beta, there's threads of people saying "New killer OP!"
2 -
Its stale but at least there is chasing it is going to be nothing but gens flying and killers camping 1 or 2 people to get the kills going to be a very fun game camping has gotten a huge buff.

Words cant describe my love the the new addition to Lethal Pursuer. I've wanted an aura extending perk for years, and its attached to one of my favorite perks!
2 -
Not really, no. You haven't played yet with the changes to see how they are, so I'm not sure you're in a position to say what it definitely will and won't do. In fact, IMO, the killer buffs didn't go far enough, but I'm also reserving judgement to see how it is.
Cuz it is. They haven't even played yet and they're already crying. LOL And the funniest part to me, is killers were not killing enough anyway, per them, so even IF it is more killer sided, it was needed. LOL

Look ive played this and other games long enough to read a meta when I see one. I see where the devs are going they dont want killers to only get 1 k matches they've literally said it in the update post. They want a hide and seek gen game not a loop the killer till the exit gates open game.
0 -
When this game was made wasn't the hide and seek play style how the devs intended us to play?
0 -
Yes. That's exactly it. They want killers to get more than 1k per match. And they're adjusting for exactly that.
0 -
If I wanted to play hide and seek though i would go play a prop hunt game though not dbd so that's why I'm quitting to each their own.
0 -
If I wanted to be cannon fodder so a bunch of friends can have fun bullying me. Id go back to playing Call of Duty.
0 -
Not a very good comparison. Call of duty hasn't changed in like 20 years.
0 -
I stopped playing it like 20 years ago :P
0 -
You have good taste then, CoD 2 was fun
0 -
I'll stil be using Corrupt Intervention, the perk is still very good despite some heralds of the apocalypse is saying it's useless now.
I'll be using Jolt way more frequently with killers who down using M1s.
I'll be using Eruption way more frequently combined with the new Overcharge or Call of Brine.
I'll be using Thanatophobia in more killers instead of just Legion and Plague.
1 -
I uninstalled to keep my sanity as a survivor lol.
0 -
Ok, see ya in a few weeks when you recover from the tantrum. xD
1 -
Naw im quitting ive been through much trauma with dbd.
0 -
Stack? Not really, but it will start out at 200% regression and go to 400% afterwards. Otherwise it would be 200%-500%, which doesnt really change much tbh, because you can use Pop too.
So Pop, Overcharge alone will practically ensure a gen goes to 0. Add Call of Brine, and it will definitely reach 0 cus you can simply kick it again and apply the 2.5% basekit regression on top of Overcharge and CoB.
It's healthier than Ruin tho, but 400% on a perk that can be triggered on multiple gens without being a hex? It's definitely going to be used by every single killer.
They might still change perks based on the PTB tho, let alone the current feedback.
0 -
Why would you run monstrous shrine and not another scourge hook?
0 -
Well I hope not. Lots of gen slowdown perks on killers side means hiding really isn't a viable option. You come back to your gen to find it at 0% lmao
0 -
An extra ten seconds, cry about it. All survivor have to do is split up and one person runs the killer for 60 seconds and its GG in it's current state. Gen speeds have been broken forever an devs have been to scared to touch it till now. Should be 100 seconds per gen as far as I'm concerned.
0 -
They just nerfed the gen slowdown.
0 -
Ten seconds of what blood lust pallet breaking survivor distance after hit and killer stun after hit reduction. It could be 120 seconds i dont care i hate looping is gone. If you choose to chase for 60 seconds as a killer thats what you should get for bad decision making.

I'm looking forward to thana, knockout, and finally not walking backwards as stealth killers
