Survivor Buffs now give guaranteed escapes???
Survivors will now get endurance AND haste for 5 seconds once they're unhooked... and that's for free.
So consider the scenario where a killer has just managed to down someone near an exit gate. They're put on a hook, obviously close to the exit gate because you can't walk very far while carrying a wiggling survivor.
If someone else comes for a rescue, sans-BT (which means they can use another perk slot), then the unhooked survivor gets a free escape because they've got a direct route out of the gates with no chance for the killer to catch or stop them!
So, where is the counter-play here... especially considering the other survivors won't need BT so can bring other powerful perks??
What am I missing?

Whilst the rest of team are body blocking?

Counterplay there is that 5 seconds isn't a super long time and DS is now completely deactivated once the exit gates are powered. If they made it longer than five seconds I'd be concerned but as is I think there's going to be a lot less "guaranteed escapes" than on the current system. Not too many hooks within a 5 second run of the exit gate zone.

Well, on the flipside, the changes to the rest of the game mean that you're probably not going to be relying on endgame kills as much, right? It's going to be easier to actually prevent the gates from being powered with all these changes going forward, so it's probably fine that endgame kills are going to be harder.

5 seconds is nothing. BT is still needed.

Off record🤡

I mean, you are using a Clown-Emoji, this already shows that your opinion does not matter and you are irrelevant, but I will try:
Dont worry, Off the Record does not really do anything in Endgame, when you can just tunnel and camp easier now DURING the game due to the changes the Devs are making.
9 -
Does off the record deactivate in endgame?
2 -
Nope.
But as I said, who should make it into Endgame? You have an increased Hook Timer, potentially people dropping BT and a much weaker DS-Stun. Tunneling and camping just got buffed.

Yeah, Off the Record is going to become one of the most meta perks for survivors - 80 seconds Endurance in Endgame? They could run the length of the many maps!

mods have never played this game they prefer fortnite

You still have to be somewhat close to the Gates. Because you can still only take one hit in Endurance, if you are so far away from the Gates that the Killer can catch up again (which is now easier due to reduced weapon cooldown and reduced Speedboost), you will go down regardless.

If a killer has so many people alive in endgame that body blocking is an issue then that's mostly on the killer.
3 -
BT got buffed. So its unlikely, that people will drop it.
Solos can rely on Off the Record for guaranteed escapes during the endgame. On top of that, it can be used twice.
I wonder how it interacts with Adrenaline if the survivor is hooked while the last gen gets completed...

Don't forget Sprint Burst

I see people dropping BT for Off the Record. Because it actually helps themselves.
In general, it is really bad gamedesign that you have to rely on others to have a Perk (BT) to get away when camped.
Regarding Adrenaline and Off the Record: You will have Endurance and be healthy. If you get hit, you are injured, if you get hit again, you are in Deep Wound. Or you get hit by an Insta-Down and are in Deep Wound immediatly. So with Adrenaline and Off the Record you can tank two Hits (or one Instadown) in Endgame.
However, you have to make it to Endgame first, which got more difficult.

If rest of team is alive, they will escape. It does not matter they have BT or not. They will just block you.

I see people dropping DS for Off the Record. BT depends, teams will probably contiue using it, while solos switch to Off the Record. Perhaps in combination with DS, Adrenaline and maybe Lucky Break.

It is imposible. Off the Record is so busted. 80 seconds, seriously? This will be new toy for SWF. Imagine that:
They will unhook you. Heal you. But you will still have OTR. You will tank 2 hits for your teammate. So MoM probably will be good combo with OTR. I mean you can make killer hit so many times. This perk can not make to live. It needs to be 20 seconds (even this can be busted, we need to test).
3 -
Oh don't worry about DS being deactivated. Since they casually reworked off the record into being a far more broken version of it! :D
3 -
I totally forgot about MoM! Yeah those stacks will be pretty easy to get now. People will come up with a new tank build.
Damn, i need to test this, once it goes live.
1 -
Tbh at least with reduced weapon cooldown and speed boost it'll be slightly less frustrating than what the old tank builds could do. Not excited but it'll be more bearable than old MOM was

If you hook someone near the gate and whole team is healthy, they are getting him out even without perks
2 -
DS, OTR, MoM and SG or Adrenaline will be pretty strong.

ho yeah sorry forgot other survivor have armored body in this game they will never bodyblock

With MoM being easier to get can break out the MoM/object combo more often 🥰
(For anyone that doesn't know MoM when activated and rehealed gives you permanent aura reading on the killer from 16m with object)

It will, but at least it won't be old MOM still where you could combine that strength with DH and insta-heals so I don't think I'll hate it as much
