I just wanted to say that this update is a step in the right direction

I personally quitted Dead by Daylight in march this year because I got burned out and bored due to the stale state of the game and the toxicity that kept growing on me when I was playing killer.

When I played survivor it wasn't that bad since I always played with my friends in swf and if a killer started talking smack in the chat,I always had my friends to back me up and support me.

Fast forward this latest developer update,i'm impressed by how well Behaviour actually know their game.

For such a long time I thought they dont even play the game and dont really know what needs to change, but this latest developer update proved me wrong.

They adressed so many of the core issues this game had,and the quality of life features I've been asking for years such as practice mode that is by far my most wanted one.

In the sea of threads of people endlessly complaining here after they had a bad match like I also do sometimes to vent some of my frustration,I just wanna say that i'm excited to try out this game again when the next update is gonna be live on the official server.

I really hope this new update will also deal with the everlasting toxicity going on in this game due to frustation.

The balance changes will help a lot on making this game less frustrating and more diverse in terms of fun.

I'm really looking forward to the update and shake up as well. I won't bother with the PTB though, I'll just wait for the full release.

Yeah, I think these changes are mostly for the better. A few things to iron out in the PTB, but otherwise good.

I agree! It's a very strong first step, and while there are a few things I'd like to see tweaked after the PTB, most of it is very very promising.

Definitely a good step in the right direction. I wouldn't say that it's about exactly how they know their game, but the fact that they know they can expand beyond simple coding and that they are listening to their community is huge. Point is they are now taking huge risks, something we all have been asking for, is crucial. Getting both the data, listening to us here in the community and through surveys have been beneficial and I hope that continues. It's a great way to give them feedback. We are finally seeing the game shape into a more balanced game. The way they balanced gameplay aspects with perks on both sides is huge. I still think they need a team of testers who actually play the game with other players online, identifying issues, ect. Live testing is crucial to overall game health and last I heard, they don't do that. Things can be missed and the more information coming from as many sources as possible is required to keep this game thriving. Do I think this update will forever make the game better? No. I think that hiring live testers, continued data gathering and surveys can help keep it better going forward.

Yeah, been very cringe watching the forum blow-up. I can’t stop watching and laughing though. This place goes cross-eyed as soon as BHVR attempts to tweak anything and then gets upset when they back track and decide to do nothing lolol.

Hopefully BHVR is too deep to not pull the trigger (this time) and all the cry babies don’t scare them into another 6 month redraw from making any “shake-up” changes. I use to blame BHVR but now I just blame the community feedback and over dramatic displays of emotions to a little video game.

That being said, ReTuRn OlD FrEdDy Or I RiOt!

I think it’s a step in the right direction but some things need adjustments.
