Can the new Dead Hard be during a Deathslinger reel?
Out of curiosity, can the new version of Dead Hard be used during Deathslinger’s reel? If so a well timed Dead Hard right as he’s about to swing at you at the end of the reel or right before the chain breaks could prevent the damage. (Note that the new Dead Hard can’t stop the spear from hitting you, you’ll still be snagged and reeled in either way.)

Well you can't dead hard while chained right? So I don't think so

Possibly, I wasn’t really sure if Dead Hard is actually truly disabled during the reel or simply that if you use the ability it doesn’t matter since it doesn’t remove the reeled effect.

Keep in mind, you need to be sprinting to use Dead Hard. I’m sure that will still be the requirement with new DH, meaning that you wouldn’t be able to.

Ah, you’re right, I never really registered the “while running” part of Dead Hard. Makes sense.

I doubt it. You couldn’t DH before, don’t see why you’d be able to now. It would be stupid anyways.

Yeah, someone else pointed out that Dead Hard requires the survivor to be running when they use it, so assuming that’s still in place the new version also would not work if the survivor isn’t running.

Almost makes me want to play him again, except for the fact that he's still the clunkiest character in existence post nerf.

All they had to do was slow his ADS by like .10-.15 and give him a 1.5-2.5 second scoping lockout. I'm still absolutely flabbergasted by their decision with him.
Edit: An Entity powered killing machine should be able to shoulder their rifle faster than my white-collar, hobbyist only fat-ass shoulders my .22 rifle. Holy crap.
