Hopefully kill rates will be higher with this update
The devs acknowledged the kill rates are low for killer atm so hopefully they increase

I'd rather see higher hook rates (not hook stages) than kill rates.
25 -
Can't wait for them to nerf pig again.
5 -
Yep cant wait to have even shorter chases against blight and nurse
21 -
It will be. I'm happy for killers but it's why solo queue players are disappointed. The changes hit us hardest so we are clearly the ones the devs intend to use to increase the kill rates.
12 -
Yeah about that...
With the survivor meta getting buffed and basekit BT + SB. I'm afraid, the kill rate will go down.
3 -
DBD still is survivor sisded in new update.
BHVR nerf killer and buff survivor in new update , survivor never getting nerf.
They still buff dead hard.

The kill rates will go down even more. With the 2 million year endurance effects + 2 second heals coming back i dont see many M1 killers doing much after this update.
We noticed killers dont kill enough so yeah lets make it even worse <3

SB base kit? 7% haste is Hope speed, not SB.
10 -
Oh, my bad.
1 -
Calling a 5 second 7% speed boost after being unhooked basekit SB is.. a stretch, at least.
9 -
As I said, my bad.
Don't crucify me. It's still early here.

I opened the page before you corrected.
And that's probably the unironic opinion of several people around here, so I can never be too sure.
3 -
no i think not rly

If the kill rates will increase with this crazy af buff for survivors,
I'll lose any hope there is for survivors, when it comes to utilizing perks.
OTR alone is so stupidly powerful, and yet you still can get so many additional endurances. Endurance status cannot be bypassed even by 1-shot killers.
Survivors will face nothing but Nurses or Blights, but I think even Blights won't be thrilled to face the incoming "hit me million times to finally down me" meta.
And for exchange killers got a crap ton of kicking buffs, when no sane killer will kick a gen and lose precious time doing so. Regression from kicks won't matter, if I can take a killer for an infinite chase with all the power I got, and just let my teammates do their job. 10s more to do a gen is nothing, when prove thyself wasn't changed, and Overzealous (that was perfectly fine it is now, i run it, it's great) got buffed too.
Yes, I will abuse the incoming endurance meta, I would be stupid if I wasn't. But I hope my future solo Q teammates will use their last braincells to abuse it too. Not to rub your victory to the killer's face. But to show bhvr how STUPID of an idea is to give survivors so many invincibilities.
"Ah yes, let's rework the additional health state meta perk, by making it an additional health state perk, and making other perks an additional health state perks"

i play PH or Blight when i want to win, never hold hope to -4 as Legion or Nemesis. This game sucks in terms of killer balance, you can't balance game around surv/killer when there's killers that can easily do -4 even now (nurse, blight) and killers that must tryhard to do -1 at least( Sadako, Wraith). That's ridiculous scatter and you can't really balance around that. Killer buffs-you make nurse and blight even more powerful, killer nerfs- you nerf killers that hardly do -1.

We will get the view for the most needed rolle with the next patch and iam almost sure it will be 100% killer ... each time of the day 🤷♂️

OTR should deactivate after getting fully healed. We don't need the Endurance if healed.
And if people wanna stay injured and do nothing for 80 seconds, that's their own choice of wasting time.
I like the idea of OTR. I wanted something like that for a long time because I was tired of that Survivor being chased who suddenly decided to go unhook w/o BT. Who is getting down? Not them, they DH onto me so I get the hit and down right after being unhooked. Then they called the Killer a tunneler...
But keeping Endurance after I'm healed... I mean, if I had time to get healed, I'm probably in a safe position and don't need a third health state.

I know you two resolved the issue ^^ But if you wanna try it out and sorty proxy the new effect, why not run BT+Guardian for a couple of games? Guardian does mostly that: +7% speed boost after unhooking. Its nice to have, but definitely inverior to BT, so its hardly ever played. Can sometimes throw killers off, though.

the quantity of killers still whining in this thread it’s something else… they will only be happy when survivors spawn already hooked
6 -
Just equip Off the Record and you'll be more than okay. Especially in the endgame.

Wdym? Killers got mutiple basekit and perk buffs.
Faster bloodlust gains.
Faster hit animation cooldown.
Faster at breaking pallets.
2.5% base kick regression.
With some other changes as well. Both killers and survivors received some type of buff/nerf either to basekit or perks.

Bait

But you have to admit OTR got a crazy powerful buff and how many perks did get something to add endurance to the survivors. This goes back to our talk about the crazy nerfs Perks got as well.

I wish they would release current killrates so we know what they consider "low" .
Is it 50% ? Or even lower?
2 -
Higher kill rates?
5K per match?
4 -
The 10 second gen speed increase is significant. That alone should push kill rates up a couple percent.
4 -
That also will be nerfed, just wait for it. Then what?
4 -
IF the Devs actually balance the perks and not Gut or Hyper Buff them then alot of the whining on both sides SHOULD settle down ... But sadly there will ALWAYS be something to cry about and the Devs can't please everyone.

It's a bit late for that dont you think? In what world were a lot of these perks balanced and not gutted? Iron Will, Spine Chill, Calm Spirit, Pharmacy, DS, Corrupt, Ruin.... these were all gutted.
1 -
Hey I can hold out hope ok lmao. I mean Hope is actually in the game so we have to believe that good things can happen.....wow I just sounded like some Saturday morning special
0 -
I would agree with you IF they didn't nuke the slowdown meta alongside with it.
All the meta slowdown perks are worthless now.
0 -
They buffed other slowdowns so it will still be meta just with other perks.
4 -
I have no hope. Like Hope is in the game so is Devour Hope so... Not many things change from the PTB to live unfortunately
2 -
Killer slowdown wasn’t nerfed. Pain Resonance actually slows down gens slightly more in total seconds now (15% of 90 instead of 80) so I’m still definitely using it. And Pop Goes the Weasel likewise gives slightly more total regression in seconds if you catch a generator when it’s close to completion, it’s only worse when you kick a gen which doesn’t have much progress yet (and the extra 2.5% baseline all kicks do also helps that perk as well.)
In fact the only killer slowdown perks which were significantly nerfed were Ruin (which sounds bad now) and Corrupt Intervention (which actually sounds like it’s still ok on killers with a slow early game or who do hit and run to injure rather than down at first). All the other slowdown perks are either the same or buffed. Thanatophobia, Jolt, Eruption, Overcharge, for example, are all buffed. (Overcharge in fact got a major buff, it’s on par with Call of Brine and even stacks with Call of Brine!)
3 -
The only buff thats decent is Overcharge. Everything else is not worth mentioning.

Yeah about that 2,5% regression per kick. I really wondered, why no one is talking about how useless it is. The killer is in a locked animation for 1,8 seconds. While those 2,5% regression are basically 2,25 seconds. So he gains 0,45 second per kick. Since the killers time is 4 times as valuable as the survivors. Means, its still worthwile for a survivor to loop the killer around the gen and tap it mid chase. Even with the additional regression, the rest of the team benefits from those extra time.
0 -
Compared to the current kicks which are 0 regression, 2.25 seconds is obviously a mild improvement, I’m certainly not going to complain about it even if I wouldn’t typically go out of my way to kick a gen solely for that with no other benefit. I don’t think anybody is shouting about how “awesome that 2.5% is”, but nobody is turning it down either.
With Pop though it’s just 2.25 seconds extra on top of the perk’s regression. So it’s just a free bonus that improves the perk a bit.

Killers are not whining.... but as killer i want to be "feared" and not "laughed" at.
Lets for example take ghostface i know its not the best killer but if people know your playing ghostface your not the killer anymore survivors are chasing you instead of otherwise. Atm with SWF squads using coms and again i don't mind. They taunt killers instead of actually running away from killers.
Why do people "fear" a nurse and is every post about nerfing her... because when the game starts and they hear her scream when she blinks, they know they just can't hold W and throw pallets untill the end of the game.
Not every killer needs to be an S tier but everything below S and some A tier killers is just laughed at by decent/good survivors.
You see the the trial change drastically in playstyle when a nurse or blight steps in the game. People hide more, play safer etc... they are actually "scared" and this should be with every killer. (i know its not possible but thats how i would like this game to be)
Myers is also a bit of an example... when people see myers they start looping him for fun but if you use tombstone addon and survivors slowly realising it takes long for you to go in Evil within tier 3 it goes from lets have fun to watch out he can 1 shot us of out of the game and they start being "scared" again.
1 -
hopefully?
BL got buffed
now all those killers that got carried by slow down perks will get carried by BL buff.
in turn making unsafe pallets even more unsafe and should be reworked
2 -
But it's so tiny and meaningless. Sure, it's better than before. But doesn't solve the reason why killers rarely kick gens outside of using some perks.
0 -
Exactly. That will get the boiled over treatment in a big hurry.
2 -
No, survivors want to spawn hooked already.
What do you think why we are getting a DBD dating sim called hooked on you?
0 -
I rarely kick them, but sometimes it’s a good play, namely when you’ve already downed or chased off survivors from a gen so it’s reasonable to expect the gen to stay regressing for a little while. But yeah, 2.25 seconds of regression isn’t enough to just kick every gen.
1 -
One of the biggest issues could be solved by also having a fixed animation for survivors. 2 seconds to stop the gen from regressing. Instead of tapping it mid chase.
0 -
I definitely agree that it’s silly survivors can stabilize gens by literally instantly giving it a high five ✋. It really should take two seconds to finish an action to start repairing a generator and stabilize it (they could even once those two seconds are up regress the generator the full two seconds spent immediately so no time is actually lost, it would just prevent the dumb instant tap midchase.)
