Can we get a better survivor SBMM now with how these changes are going?
Survivor SBMM has always been determined by a terrible system because as we all know ESCAPING DOES NOT SHOW SKILL.
And because of this iffy system and backfill etc. Solo Q players like myself are often paired with players on a completely different level.
Me, who is massively experienced will have people that dont do gen, cant lead a chase, are terrified being injured and dont even understand all killer powers.
Now iv been making do, even with these players but with the up coming changes it's going to be near impossible to do most of the gens and chases not to mention having to rely on them at EGC as you nerf DS.
While I'd love a system based of chases and objective progress on generators I dont see you wanting to put that in, so maybe we can have a system that says I gain mmr just for reaching end game.
I seriously hate how the game and devs say I'm bad because I die at the end, often on my first/second hook. How am I meant to carry people if gens are longer and my team will waste even more time self caring in a corner verse a legion.
I just want to be rewarded for MY SKILL. Basing my skill on my random team is eh

ive entirely given up trying to win my games
theres no point in running the killer no more since it warrants a face camp I suppose or you just get left on hook to die
so now my build consist of:
-urban evasion
-bite the bullet
-self care
-spine chill
ive enjoyed my matches now since I let others carry me since it doesnt matter what I do as long as I escape right???

I am sorry but if you cannot escape it’s probably because you are careless or too altruistic. And it also means you are not that good.
Being able to loop is not everything about DBD, especially if you take the chase early you have a lot of ressources at your disposal. Hiding and prioritize some generators over others are also skills.
Instead of blaming your teamates, try to understand why you die so much and not them.

Well good luck with that since spine chill and self care got butchered. What are you going to replace those with?
1 -
Nah, he's right. It has never been about being careless or too altruistic. The best looper on the team can easily be the first to die, if not the only one to die, for a number of reasons. MMR being influenced solely by escapes sends the people who hide and bust gens to high MMR, while actually skilled loopers get into baby lobbies and cause uneven matches, uninteresting gameplay, and ruin Killer for newer players.

It’s a very weak survivor build. Looks like you are low MMR because facecamping only works at that elo (any decent team will genrush and send a rescuer with BT).
Try this instead for solo :
- iron will
- deliverance
- ds
- dead hard
Play as selfish as possible, use every pallets if you have too. You will eventually get to a decent MMR where survivors know what they are doing.

3 of those perks are getting nerfed next week, and you're telling them to use them?
2 -
He was being satirical saying that actually looping and outplaying the killer gets you facecamped, losing the most MMR in the lobby. Are you trolling?
Also, facecamping is overall stronger than tunneling and is rampant at high MMR. It's the most effective strat across all levels, with tunneling falling shortly behind.
2 -
The trick is to last long enough in chase that you don't get tunnelled out for being the weak link, but not so long that you get tunnelled out for pissing the killer off
1 -
The killer doesn't even need to target the best looper. The rest of your team can just go down instantly to the killer and then the killer hooks you for the first time after everyone else is dead and you lost mmr now.
Or you get hit with noed and the rest of the team leaves because why bother risking their mmr to save you.
It's too easy to get in a loop of constantly losing mmr and being stuck in an elo hell.
3 -
No Survivor wants to throttle their own gameplay to avoid getting camped & tunneled, that's why second chance perks are getting changed because they were basically quality assurance. It's more fun to not get camped & tunneled than it is to run fun builds and die for it, in my opinion. At least there's more build freedom very soon with the Perk Overhaul.
If you're actually good at survivor, you bully killers in "ELO hell" and climb yourself out of baby lobbies. To me, "ELO hell" is Nurse and Blight every game.

Facecamping doesn’t happen in high MMR at all, except in endgame. You are probably low MMR if you think that.
Except Bubba, it’s very simple to counter face camping :
- genrush
- save at the last moment with BT, worse case scenario you trade. Best case scenario the rescued get tunneled and has every pallets in the world to make a chase last a decent amount of time.
- 2 survivors are still on gens at all times, repairing the 5 gens easily. 1 gen is 80s, 1 hook state is 60s so you should have no problem finishing them.
Even if the killer is using PR + DMS he will at best block 1 gen. If he uses deadlock all you have to do is repairing another gen. Blocked gens are not regressing.
If you don’t know where gens are, you are not high MMR. High MMR survivors know exactly where each gens are, and where most totems spawns are.

You really don't understand how awful survivors I've met have been. You get caught out once by a minor mistake now all of a sudden your dead on your first hook, because your teammates either don't attempt to rescue you or they all fall. Not mention the sheer amount of times I've been left on hook to 2nd state.
Plus I've had chases where I'm lasting multiple minutes and my entire team when I do go down has been just crouching around doing nothing.
You can't carry bad in this game.

im keeping the self care + bite the bullet combo
urban evasion has been so fun, the amount of survivors that stop and look at me w shame when im urban evading across the map
but yeah im swapping spine chill with flashbang when the update rolls out :))
thank you!!!
i did not want to respond
theyre definitely trolling

You are the ones struggling against baby killers strat (face camping) not me. And pretending you are good loopers but can’t escape ? Not me, I have no problem escaping…
I am giving you guys advice but you won’t listen, it’s easier asking for nerfs I guess…

Everyone's experiences in Survivor, especially in solo queue, are different. I'm not saying what you're talking about never happens, I've had it happen to me too, and I know it isn't really feasible to hard carry a 4v1 asymmetrical game. Hopefully your chases are rewarded so you can get into more interactive, exciting matches.

Something something solo queue is fine because my escape rate is 102%

And like I said I'm making do, and even in the post which was only 200 games I stated the main reason to lose was because of the bad players who shouldn't even be matched with me.
If I had 4 survivors actually my level Escaping will be piss easy as the games not balanced for it.
I'm not asking for insane players, just people that do gens and understand killer powers each game OR reward my own personal SKILL.

Yeah those matches annoy me the most, especially when you're getting tunneled out and your team is just crouching around or following for ages waiting for that save.
It's why I hate the escape = skill idea
I escape alot, probably more than most people but I still get annoyed that I'm told I'm bad because of a team impossible to carry

Solo Q is fine, I win 99 matches out of 100 with only no mither as a perk. Source: trust me bro, look at these screenshots I took, no I did not hand pick these screenshots, all my matches are like this. /s

it'll only ever get just so good with 5 people in a match. The random nature of the game and players can only do so much. It can't account for a big change of perks or a bad game.
The biggest trouble to having a good game is the other survivors. You don't know who just wants one escape today and who only plays to torment others.
You want consistency you need squads or private games.
Embrace the chaos my friend!

I also forgot to mention the people who just rage quit over the killer. It's so great being forced into an auto loss, becuase a few people can't handle the match they went into.
It feels so bad getting into a loss streak, because you just know that your teammates aren't going to be getting any better.
