Trying to "Run" and character walks very slow instead...

Hey, so I needed to Google this because it's a very strange occurrence and it looks like I'm not the only one experiencing this. Let me start from the beginning... at certain times (more specifically when I'm chasing a Survivor or running from a Killer) my character will drastically slow down to where instead of running, they will start taking wide-open steps. Now, I wanted to make sure that it wasn't my PS4 controller so I bought a new one and I thought that was that... it happened again. It's not occurring in every match but when it does occur, it's when I begin to chase a specific Survivor or run away from a specific Killer. Some people seem to think it's a low-key hack because it might come off as a connection issue but I'm not so sure about that. Has anyone else experienced this?

I have actually, also on ps4. I notice it when I attempt to slightly strafe when chasing. I literally have a noticeable slowdown, also thought it was my conyroller. Haven’t figured it out tho, sorry

Thanks for letting me know. It's only started happening recently. Hasn't happened since yesterday but yeah the slowdown is very noticeable. Basically if I'm a Survivor, it looks like they're in an anti-gravity chamber walking. After Googling it I found really old posts about it but nobody ever seemed to figure out what was causing it.
