It is Mistake to Remove BP Stacks from WGLF & BBQ
At least add stacks to surv & killer basekits. Why?
- First i have to say that, grind is issue for new players more. New players have so much characters to level. Both perks are nice for new players.
- We have event right now, so it is easy to farm flans/cakes. But bp offerings are so rare on bloodwebs at usual times. So if you play perfectly and collect 32k, even this is not enough bp for one bloodweb level. So you need to play at least 2 games for one bloodweb level. This is hilarious.
- Now we need to P9 everyone for all rewards. If we think how many characters we have right now, it is looks impossible to finish this task. Tasks should not be that hard for buy for play games.
- Both perks are supports healthy gameplay. For BBQ stacks, you need to hook everyone once. And for WGLF stacks, you need to leave gen and save your teammate (or take hit). Both perks are supporting healthy and fun gameplay.
- Survivors have usually less bp than killers and WGLF is only way to make good BP with survivors. Survivor BPs needs to look.
So my point is that, stacks should stay with perks or they should add to basekits. Grind changes are great but if you nerf these perks with this way, grind will be issue again.

It's not as bad as you think.

Please make math how much bp you need to make everyone at least p3. So you will have all perks on everyone. But for how much bp? And how long you need to play for this bp?

P1 is all that is required to have the Tier 1 of that characters Perks on all characters. The higher tiers will then appear in the Bloodweb as per usual. P3 would be to have their Perks at Tier 3 on all characters. Everything after that is cosmetic. P9 is by no means required.

A lot of people find getting WGLF/BBQ stacks to be an important part of gameplay. It's very enjoyable to earn stacks, and it rewards players for doing things that put their own win conditions at risk for the benefit of improving other players' experiences. Not having the BP bonuses be tied to perks makes sense, but not making them basekit hurts the game.

It's less BP that it currently is to get all perks on everyone.
I can't do it by BP, but I can do it by bloodweb level.
Currently: 91 perks, 273 perk tiers, levels 1-50 = 60 perk tiers, all subsequent levels are 2 perk tiers per bloodweb (unless you get unlucky) = 157 bloodweb levels on all characters. 100 of which are the 'full sized' bloodwebs.
New system: 150 bloodwebs maximum, but every time you hit 50 it resets back down to the small level 1 bloodweb. You're likely saving 50 levels worth of BP by that alone. So in BP it's an equivalent 100 bloodweb levels per character to unlock all perks on everyone.

Making the BP bonuses from those two Perks base kit would be pretty fantastic for the players. My guess, however, is that BHVR wouldn't like how quickly people would max out content. I'm personally not even saying it would be THAT fast, but BHVR likely has a different definition of fast than players.

The problem i would see with WGLF stacks being basekit, is that alot of people who use it tend to farm you off the hook for stacks, especially with the BT basekit then.

They want to reduce that grind because they know old players are getting pissed and new players feel overwhelmed, but they don't want to reduce the grind TOO much. The logic of "we don't want BP to dictate what perks people use" sounds like nonsense tbh.
I guess that means they'll be removing BP bonuses from all the other perks and add ons that include them as well? Such as Distressing, Prove Thyself, No One Left Behind, Padded Jaws, etc, etc, etc

Healing should add stack too. So survivors will not fight for hook saves.

If that's the case, then BHVR is prioritizing the wrong things. The player experience is more important. If BHVR is truly worried that players feeling rewarded for their efforts will somehow worsen the game, they could decrease the bonus for getting 4 stacks. I wouldn't recommend decreasing it a lot, though, otherwise it doesn't offset the way earning stacks is a risk to a personal win.

It's just a common thing with game companies that want to extend engagement. Like battle passes, gachas, and other such mechanics, the goal is to get people to feel obligated to play more. Making it easier to max out content would be directly against making players feel obligated to grind out content, which extends how much they play, which lets the developers expose them to other things they can pay for.

Really surprised they didn't just bake both effects into the base game. It encourages fun game play.

That could work.

Oh, trust me, I know. I play a gacha game. It maximizes engagement better, though, by having weekly events with unique elements and a lot of different things to grind for. Despite the most important part of the game being locked behind ridiculous RNG, playing the gacha game never feels unrewarding. DbD matches often feel unrewarding. BHVR doesn't know how to reward players in such a way that people don't want to uninstall after a couple bad matches, and there are even a lot of cases where people are frustrated and want to quit after a win.
Depipping. Rewarding survivors too much for escaping and not enough for participating. Rewarding too few Bloodpoints in general versus how much things cost on the Bloodweb. Good matches aren't very rewarding and bad matches are really frustrating, punishing, and miserable. BHVR needs to fix that.

Under the new system 6.5 million to P3 a single character. Now repeat this with 58 characters to have all perks on all characters. That's a totally of 377,000,000. Under the current system it takes 443,750,000. A total savings of 14.8%.
I disagree removing the BP gains was a mistake. However there needed to be something to offset it.

It should’ve been made basekit.

I don't see a reason to RUN we're gonna live forever anymore. Desperate measures, botany knowledge, we'll make it... Hell! Even AUTODIDACT heavily outclass this perk now...

While cutting down on the grind is very beneficial and long overdue, there needs to be a way to earn blood points faster if perks no longer do that for you. They either need to have blood hunts more often, or see to it that party streamers appear far more in the blood webs.
After the nerf, BBQ and WGLF are going to drop in usage drastically, and if it takes me roughly 4 to 5 matches as killer to earn just over 100,000 blood points, then prestiging isn't going to be nearly as rewarding as BHVR wants you to think it will be. I barely have an hour each day to play games, and I don't want to spend a whole week grinding just so I can prestige perks for a single character.

The bonuses should just be baked into the base game. Kill the grind completely and let people just enjoy the content they've purchased the way they want. Also, rework the bloodweb so people aren't constantly forced to purchase things they don't want or will never use. Annoyance and inconvenience are not features in 2022

I certainly spread hooks more due to the BP bonus from BBQ. I think at least a 50% bonus, 12.5% per unique hooked survivor would absolutely be good. You can keep the 100% BP queue bonus for when queues are at their worst, as long as there's always a 25%/50% bonus regularly.

there is no point to BP anymore thats why they got removed.
75% of the BP progression is going to be removed and the 25% thats left is for you to grind the normal way now to keep you engaged in the game.

The bp bonus points should be base kit to encourage the fair and fun playstyles that BBQ and WGLF offered.

Maybe they could just double the bp gain all together? Though I feel like keeping the bp gain from bbq should stay as it gives a reason to play in a more fun way.
