Can't Blame People For Maining Nurse Or Hard Tunneling
With how completely atrocious the maps are designed in this game, I can't blame em. I too would want to completely bypass the horrendous map design with the click of a button. So many loops you can't mindgame, so many loops all within like 5 feet of each other. So many second chance perks, so many things that can you really blame killers for wanting to tunnel someone out?
Like holy, I just played a game on lery's and I get stuck in a chase for literally 2 minutes because every room has a window, there's about 10 god pallets, and there's nothing I can do with the killer I'm playing. And then even when I finally get a hit in? Oh look, they get hit with adrenaline so then it doesn't even matter anymore.
At this point, I'm going to join the people that one trick nurse because the maps leave no room to WANT to play anything else. Or hell, maybe pick bubba and just face camp the first person I hook because clearly if BHVR doesn't want to give me actual incentives to go after multiple people and if BHVR wants to design the maps to the point where any chase you get in will last an ungodly amount of time, there's not like I have much of a choice.
And then they want to buff bloodlust... OH bloodlust, yeah because clearly that's what killers need. A helping hand built into their role, instead of maybe... designing the maps fairly for both sides? Instead of making it a loop simulator? Or add more actual loops you can mindgame, instead of everything being super low on the ground to the point where unless you're Sadako, you're definitely not mindgaming anything (especially since most of the killers are taller than 90% of the map environment). All bloodlust does is encourage killers to literally run around in a circle until they catch the survivor, because breaking pallets will literally remove the bloodlust so you just have to... run in a circle for a couple seconds?

Try to give constructive feedback instead of saying, "I'm going to ruin people's games by facecamping with Bubba."

I wish I found all the god pallets at Lery's. I'm pretty sure the map subtly shifts around when I'm not looking to remove all the windows and pallets from my path.

I did tho?
Maps need full reworks across the board. And there's a reason why people have to hard tunnel / camp / play nurse so often.
6 -
Several people play even basic m1 killers without camping and tunneling and still have successful games. Sounds like a skill issue

"Several people" is not at all the majority, especially when a majority of killers all say the same thing. M1 killers suck, and maps are designed terribly.
Even I have good games with M1 killers. That doesn't mean all of a sudden they are good or that maps are well made.

I can and I will.
Anyone who runs starstruck nurse is a pathetic loser and deserves to be messed with. You don't want to play DBD and just want a win in anything you can get your pathetic hands on. I genuinely think you should be banned from any online game to ever exist. It's not about you winning a game but rather you want to ruin someone else's good time. You are as small as the universe is big.

OK starstruck nurse I can understand, but other than that? Can't blame em.

Look, when you get The Game as Legion, there's probably just not a lot your skill's gonna be good for.
But yeah, I don't really know if protesting maps by maining nurse or going facecamp Bubba is gonna help much.
"I sacrificed your lives for you, and this is the thanks I get?"
It honestly sucks that I have to legitimately wonder if this is real. Thanks DbD forums.

This. Some Survivors have one or a few bad matches in a night against M1 killers and then declare those killers to be fine or, hilariously, OP. Killers can fall into this trap too. You can get on a roll with killers like pig or Trapper and feel strong, forgetting that, overall, these killers are weak.

It's not about protesting the maps, it's about pointing the fact that can you really blame them for playing these ways when BHVR practically forces it with the way they design the game.

I'm so sorry, but you gave me flashbacks to that one clown main who always said the clown was the best killer in the game and that they always 4k every game I'm still traumatized by them lol.

Mostly joking. I just really dislike that build.
TBH it's hard to blame someone after a bad game.

Try to have fun instead of this desire to "win" all or most of your games. There are good and bad matches for both roles.
If you do not already I would suggest playing survivor so you can get a feeling of the pain you intend to inflict on others.

I don't really blame you for anything. It's a game, you have options, if you never want to have a match out of your favor again you can pick as much Nurse as you want. You don't need to defend yourself.

I already play survivor. The thing is, I DO play for fun. It's not even about winning.
Being stuck in a 2 minute chase without any counter play is literally NOT fun.

Knowing when to drop chase is hard for our egos. I was on a team that got absolutely destroyed by an onryo that kept the pressure on all of us hit and run style. We eventually lost that war of attrition.
Point is, that the killer is about being frustrated but the best killers keep their cool. They are constantly thinking about what the other survivors are doing while they are chasing someone—keeping a mental picture in their mind trying to predict actions just like in a chase you are trying to predict their path.

I mean, I can use doctor or legion and casually 4k people but that doesn't mean I'm good, it's mostly survivors doing wacky things.

in b4 just pressure gens bro and I 4k all the time at high mmr with Clown no add ons

If your average chase as killer last 2 minutes then you're probably not good.

Tell that to the Low MMR killers; they're the ones tunneling and facecamping the most.

The forums don’t process satirical content very well so the constructive feed back gets lost in the knee jerk response of bubbas name being mentioned.

I agree I also hate map generation sometimes, like who would want to play m1 killers in 2022 dbd when maps still do things like this, long wall window into shack on fractured cowshed

Fun enough, but the more I escape, the more I'll meet facecamp/tunnel, and the more I die, the more I have god Nurse and Blight who don't facecamp/tunnel but have so many hours that I didn't even know people played that much.
I don't think they're lowering their MMR on purpose. The MMR is kind of weird most of the time for me.

It does sound like a skill issue, like other people said. First of all, only the pallets at the exits are relatively safe and theres ONE good pallet loop on lerys. All other pallets have way too short loops and you can just mind game it. And lerys does have a lot of windows, point being that all of them are right next to a door you can move your butt through to still catch up :)
Istg i bet youre one of those killers who play bubba, noed and facecamp/tunnel and still cant get one kill so yeah blaming the map thats not the issue is logical right? I never play killer but when i do for some quests i'm BAD and i know i'm bad. The maps were not the issue. Maybe you should just practice mind games. When i hide my red light at jungle gyms even i can get a down in less than 2 minutes... and i played like 100 killer games total but on a variety of maps

I played bubba to get BBQ, and literally never played him again. He's a boring killer so no.
They still get space from windows because i'm already a decent distance away and they simply vault the window and go the opposite direction of where the door is, which means I have to go fully around to get to where they went.
The maps have always been an issue, a majority of killers agree. The maps are designed terrible and are filled with an abundance of safe loops all within walking distance of each other. 2 minute chases was a hyperbole. It's still very long chases that waste valuable time. "Hide my red light" yes because I've never thought of that. They literally will just wait and see which side I come from and then just run the opposite way and vault the windows, it's not about hiding the red light lmfao.

I mean other killers clearly make mind games work so why can't you?
0 -
Yes, I can.
Watch me.
0 -
Yes they do. It doesn't happen often. I can too, but again. Doesn't happen nearly enough to offset the amount of garbage chases I've had. Again good survivors there's practically nothing you can do. They don't fall for hiding your red stain, as they just wait to see which way you come from and they have enough time to do that and still reach a window / pallet safely.

So what youre saying is that maps need to be changed because good players exist and they make you lose?
If its a matter of who abuses it it cannot be changed for everyone. Amd honestly? Its not likely that maps will be changed like that. Look at what they did to haddonfield and how many months that wasted. So i suggest you just find a way to step up your own game to get better than the good survivors. Or, you abuse weak links. Come up with a strategy, learn a stronger killer, whatevs. But that might help you more in the long run. No offense and i do know it from myself: sometimes we just suck. Or sometimes we are mediocre and need to take an actual look at ourselves
0 -
So what that's it?
Instead of pushing devs to actually fix things we need to blame ourselves even though it's not really our fault the maps are designed and catered towards survivors?
