Anytime the DC penalty is off, it is a pandemic of DCs

Don't like the killer/survivors? That's a DCing

They did disable DC penalties back when the game was suffering some server issues.
The result was a DC every single game, not because of the server issues, but because players now had an incredibly low bar with which to judge if they should stay or go.
Oh, it's Coldwind? I hate Coldwind. DC
Oh, it's Blight? I hate Blight. DC
Oh, I got found by the killer first? DC
Oh, my teammate blew up the first gen right net to me? DC

Honestly, if the game was designed differently or gave the Survivors a proper gameplay boost when a DC occurred, it wouldn't bother me. In it's current state, however, no.
I DO think the game would benefit from allowing DCs while also not penalizing the other players, but I entirely understand that is a pipe-dream at this point.

I had someone DC against me when I was playing Wraith. I wasn't using my power during the match at all, but Dwight screwed up at a pallet and immediately disconnected.
If a killer loads into a match, it's a DC.

In honor of all the ppl asking to remove DC penalties, i think they should now start at 20 mins n go up from there

So, if you get someone who's actually cheating? You have to stay in the game or be penalized for it. They need another ban wave. I'll take my 5 minutes in the case of these type of games.
Also, the majority of reasons survivors DC is due to conditioning from previous games. If they actually punished for toxic behavior(ie: hook sandbagging/griefing, afk slugging) then the game would be different maybe? Just about the entire community will give you cancer in some way shape or form.
If anything, they need to lock mmr/pip ranking when someone DCs. There is no reason any other player needs to be punished because someone first down DCs.

There is barely any killers playing ?
Oh, I actually wish I COULD play killer ´cause survivor is way too stressful during this event , maybe it´s different in high MMR but in my matches kilers are going crazy if they see more than 2 flans (incuding the blood hunt) and that isn´t fun. So I can get hardly value out of my flans.
I played killer some days of the event and it was so so so much better.
But since 2 days killer queue is awful ALL DAY AND NIGHT. I have insta survivor queue 24/7
Maybe most solo survivors had enough and switched to killer for the event to get value out of their flans and the bloodhunt and now I am forced to play survivor and to ruin my mood with it.
I am actually glad if the event and the blood hunt is over, so I can quit the game again for a few weeks. At the moment I feel forced to play it (altough I would like to play other games) because I have to bring my characters to 50 for the prestige rework and there will no change to get that much BP anytime soon again.
I envy the people who already have all characters on P3 and all perks unlocked for all characters, they don't care about BP and they can play or skip events as they want without skipping being negative for them.

Until this community doesn't DC because X happened or playing against X then we can disable dc penalties.

During most events, Killer gets more traffic since getting BP with them tends to be easier. This is normal.

5 minutes wait is to forgiven for first DC 15-20 minutes would be nice for first DC.

You don't fix things by Banning DC's you fix your game so people don't feel like they need to DC. THey've been avoiding the real issues since forever.

No. Not just no, but hell no.
The last thing we need are players having a free pass to bail on any game where things don't go just the way they'd like. People who do this suck out loud.
They might not be having their best time, but when you DC you're screwing four other people over. If you're not willing to play the game that loads, regardless of the variables, don't queue up.
I think the first DC penalty should be light, but for any subsequent ones on the same day, the penalties should actually escalate. Dramatically.

What's the point, it'll only save a few seconds - I'd rather the devs focus on fixing bugs than putting in the effort to code this honestly.

Until properly functioning bots can fill in for the DCer, absolutely not. I remember the times when penalties were turned off, and it was an atrocious experience trying to play the game, didn't matter which side I picked. People would drop out instantly for the pettiest reasons, sometimes as soon as they loaded in. I remember a match where I was Solo Queuing and the second the Nurse screeched, all three of my teammates DCed.

If you play out your tough games and make the right choices with a little bit of luck you can pull off comebacks or at least earn enough bp for it to be worth the effort.
