Buff Onryo in the PTB PLS
PLEASE she doesnt even wanna come outta the well anymore she knows her condemns useless and can be cleansed mid chase and her TVs take as long to watch an entire vhs tape for them to come back!
All serious she needs her tv cooldowns halved, Tape inserting to last 2 secs to prevent mid chase cleanse and her teleport to cause 2 stacks of condemn

Just FYI the devs commented a few days ago or so that they have Sadako on their priority list for a balance pass but simply didn't have the bandwidth to do it on this mid-chapter patch because of all the other things that are being adjusted. So they're definitely going to be doing a pass on Sadako, it's just not clear if it'll be in the next full chapter patch (i.e. the new Resident Evil?) or in the next midchapter patch.
Personally I put Sadako in the "ok" bucket at about 2/5 stars, same place I put Wraith. Her map mobility and Stealth are decent so she's not in the trash tier or anything, but her weakness in a chase does hurt her a bit and keeps her out of the higher tiers.

I just want to correct something here...we did not say that we have Sadako on our priority list. The exact wording was "we'll do our usual review when the time comes". There's no time scale on that comment that Peanits made or a priority level.

Every killer except Sadako has some form of chasing power or anti-loop (I will not accept "oh but she can become invisible for 0.66 seconds after manifesting" as an anti-loop tool). This is a huge oversight from the devs completely disregarding a killers need to have a form of chase. She even unironically slows herself down to 3.6m/s when manifesting, so even just to attack her chase is crippled even more.

with this massive update that's been done with the perks and the prestige, that schedule is out. The design team will check to see if any adjustments need to be made and assign a priority as necessary.

As long as they consider balancing Distortion to NO tokens. This game will be balanced. As for Onryo. I watch gameplay and It actually looks balanced now. But I can see why players want this fixed.

I'm not sure that even if SADako had a BFG she'd be able to do much with it. By some coincidence the Fog might give survivors invulnerability against BFG ammo...

Come to think of it, I wouldn’t be surprised if they do a combo Artist and Sadako pass at some point in a later midchapter like they did with Legion and Ghost Face. I don’t know that Artist needs must adjusting but if they can do two fairly large character revamps in the Legion/Ghost Face midchapter they can definitely do the likely less intensive Artist tweaks plus whatever they may or may not want to do with Sadako.

I honestly think her chase music is too loud. Something new that could be unique to her could be the use of 0 music. She has the TV sounds, the manifesting, her attacks, etc, but adding in other sounds like her hair going over the side of windows as she climbs in, her nails, little things like that, would make her more scary. I thought of those things as ideas, so they're not perfect.

And also for hard of hearing players, she already has that silent element of fear, but she needs tweaking with her powers.

I want her to be able to walk through pallets and breakable walls when manifested. She's a ghost she should be able to do it and she can't attack in that state. Also yes I agree with the tv and tapes and condemned.
Also please make her addons better. She doesnt need a meme addon.

I have played around 20-30 matches with her the past week. She is fun (I like teleporting) but does need a buff.
Her TV placement has been a bother for me. Some maps have dead zones as well as have TVs meters apart from each other. Ugh. Very annoying.
More TVs and more was to spread condemned would be nice.

I posted this in another thread, but some of my ideas:
Not all of these, but maybe a combination of some of the following:
Increase the rate condemned builds, make survs exposed while carrying a tape.
Make bloody fingernails basekit, teleport sound omnidirectional.
Cut tv "off" status by half, give her a speed boost (to movement and breaking actions) while demanifested.
Make her completely silent/invisible (no lullaby) while demanifested, decrease manifesting/demanifesting transition time.
Have all survs within (small, <10m) radius of a TV exposed for 5 secs when she TPs.
I think buffing condemnation in some way is a must, though. It's useless as is.

I love this idea conceptually, but this would legit make her S tier. You're basically insta-breaking pallets while having them remain as vaults for survivors, you actually turn loops from slightly survivor sided to very killer sided.

- condemn points on hit
- Iri Tape basekit
- increase number of tv's
- while demanifested: ignore pallets + fast vault

Heck id take it a bit further and make it she could walk through walls while demanifested like a true ghost obviously not the out of bound walls and cant manifest while in a wall

Sadako came out 3 months and a few weeks ago, lately what BHVR was doing is that after 3 months it was reviewing the last chapter that came out in case it needs changes (buffs or nerfs) in this case obviously a list of improvements is needed.
Obviously they will have passed this, and they will leave it for soon...

2 basic and plausible buffs that would be nice to see; Removing that long ass animation cooldown whenever you tap right click for even a millisecond while you are manifested and removing that slight movement speed decrease when manifesting.

With this she has to ddmanefest which during a survivor cannot be body blocked so they can vault back unless a window is blocked. But I understand your pov and I can see how it would be strong.

It could maybe work if she was a 110% killer, which I actually wouldn't mind, if she had shorter TV cooldowns and her speedboost after teleporting add on was basekit.
