Absolutely not.

The shorter the chase, the more points are awarded to the killer.

So you need to have lots of short successful chases to get Gold, that's why Legion is perfect for it, you start a chase, hit the survivor with your power, find another survivor with the killer instinct and hit them, rinse and repeat.

I had an interesting experience. I choose the clown, one of the many killers i play next to never. My MMR with him seems to be lower than my average killer mmr, so i got pretty easy games vs realative noob survivors. I got in chases quick (because they didnt know how to dodge bbq), and i could down them fast because they couldnt loop.

However, i only hooked everyone twice, then i only slugged them, so all go out, to keep my mmr low. Its a good thing for challenges and such to have a low mmr killer that allows you to "play around".

Got the emblems easy enough that way.

You don't get any emblem points for the chase if the chase ends with the survivor getting away unharmed. The best way to build up points for this emblem is to find healthy survivors and hit them as soon as possible. For this emblem it doesn't matter if they heal so if you are just going for this emblem focus on getting hits and nothing else.

If you do hook someone, stay away from the hooked survivor. You lose points towards this emblem every second you are too near someone on a hook.
