I feel like claustrophobia is better than people think. edit: Not Coulrophobia, the healing perk.
Is it good? not really.
does it have it's moments? yes.
Is it still really situational? yes, absolutely.
but is it fun? you bet.
Seriously, try running it.
I'm partial to using it with oppression, DMS (those two go super well together, btw), and merciless storm.

also, I'd like if it was a TR perk (having vaults in your TR get blocked for the duration instead of within that radius of the gen.) it'd be cool.

The only way I can see it working is on Doctor with Distressing and double "Calm" Add-Ons. Because survivors won't heal in your TR when they can just walk out of it.

The biggest problem with Claustrophobia is usually the killer isn’t in a position to capitlize on it and it only triggers a few times a match. And even if they are near the gen when it’s finished the payoff is kind of medicore, maybe you get a hit? 🤷♂️ I’m sure there’s some corner case killers and loadouts where it works better but mostly it feels kind of lackluster for something that triggers only a few times.

that's true, I'm just saying it can get some use. Personally, I think it should trigger centered on the killer instead of the gen.

I would argue Blood Favor is a similar yet better perk as at least a killer is always in the area to act on the situation

Terror radius perks are fun in general, I feel. I wanna do more with them.

It's a bad perk and way too map dependent.
It's like trying to get value out of Pyramid Head's Obsidian goblet,too hard for no good reward at all.
with the ST chapter coming back they might take a look at it they probably wont but we'll see I guess.
The only killer I would use claustrophobia/Cruel limits is on Bubba.

You are thinking of coulrophobia. Claustrophobia just blocks windows 32m around a gen when it finishes

That would definitely be better. Or heck, just take out the range restriction entirely, a mapwide block of vaults after a gen finishes would be a nice perk but not overpowered as long as the duration isn’t incredibly long.

This perk I'm definitely trying out on Doctor, double calm add-ons, Distressing, updated clown perk, with unnerving presence for even smaller skill checks and pop up more often and something else.
Might be a busted perk on Doctor, but I'm gonna be giggling all match hearing those gens blowing up.

Ironically I think Doctor would get a bit less use out of Claustrophobia because he already can block vaults with his Shock.

- you're thinking of Coulrophobia, not Claustrophobia (easy enough mistake to make, but still.)
- There's nothing wrong with unnerving presence. it's not OP; actually, if people hit their skillchecks, it's detrimental to use since it makes it easier to hit great skillchecks, along with more frequent skillchecks.
- I recommend Dark Devotion on Doc. If you don't have it, Merciless storm is also pretty great.
