BHVR please... before Capcom decides to revoke license
(post originally by Drakedenson)
I would love for this list to come to fruition! We have 2 out of 6 so far!

ı don't think other licensed chapters are going. Netflix plans to go for its own game sector, I think that was the reason why Stranger things chapter is going away

My guy, the chapter was only added a couple of months ago, they have a while before the license needs renewed, and even then I doubt Capcom revoke it seeing as they've done countless crossovers in the past.

I'd love the revelations outfit

Lol this Capcom we are talking about. And it's more likely that BHVRs mismanaged licenses than netflix revoking it.

I honestly wish they added in Hunk as a cosmetic option for Leon.

You're wrong. ST is leaving DBD because Netflix is ending all their game licensing deals. They want their IPs in games to be exclusive to the Netflix streaming service when games are added. The games streaming service is already in a beta test for Poland Netflix users and it comes with multiple ST games.

I’d love to see an Ethan Winters skin for Leon.

What about a Sheva Alomar skin?

That's an obvious assumption, and intuitive given the events you described. However, consider that this is BHVR we are talking about. Netflix exchanges licenses all the times, shows come and go, some series are mainstays and some are not. It highly more likely that BHVRs mismanagement is why the licenses have been revoked, not as a direct result of Netflix or it's shenanigans.

All the resident evil characters are good imo.

Ada is going to be an insta buy for me.

Highly doubt that's the case, A Stranger Things game has also been removed from Xbox Gamepass if I recall due to similar reasons
Behaviour are not at fault here, they hate the licence leaving as much as we do. Remember why Behaviour said they hate exclusive items and would never do anything like Legacy again. Well History has repeated. Nothing is stopping Stranger Things from returning in the future though. Hopefully when Netflix gaming service flops we will see the licence renewed

Your assumption is overtly biased - as evidenced by your negative regard for BHVR; whereas others may be assuming, but their assumption is based in logic and precedence.
3 -
Hell no i want an Ada skin for RE3R jill, i'd rather have RE Chapter 2 and add the real Ada.

Not an assumption at all. Fact is, Bhvr losing a license IS the precedence and there's plenty of bias against netflix found throughout the forum topics. Logic is based only what we think we know, pieced together without extrapolation. Given the limited information, it would be assumption to believe netflix is at fault and it would be extrapolation to suggest their upcoming gaming platform is the cause. Additionally, netflix may have a major ST license, but it's owned by the duffer bros.
How about we analyze all the possibilities?
1. Netflix somehow revoking license, which is not lucrative. This is despite their own game platform because money is money.
2. BHVR for mismanaging their game and the licenses thereof. They do not take good care of their #1 game, and most of their IP falls off the map.
3. Duffers intervention because they own stranger things. They have a preceding lawsuit regarding the original material and license thereof, way back when things were ramping up.
4. Simply a lack of renewal, blame everyone involved. That would mean Bhvr's mismanagement is still a pillar in this regard
5. ???
It would seem obvious to blame netflix, however, they are the least likely to have pulled any strings. Why? Because they don't pull licenses from their platform. There is countless precedence of owners pulling licenses from netflix, but there is little to no precedence that netflix has revoked anything on their platform (except for cultural reasons). In fact, netflix is in the business of handing out licenses. That is a fact. Once you understand what each company's corporate gains are, one realizes that pulling a license is quite literally the opposite of what they would do and what they have done.
Bhvr is at fault, at the very least, partially. Netflix is most likely NOT the culprit, even partially.

If it gets rid of RPD I'm all for it.

It's not bad once you learn the layout.

Nah, the way some doorways can be body blocked and require the player to go halfway around the map to get to the necessary location is bad for gameplay. It makes a large percentage of the map nearly as dangerous as the basement, which is supposed to be uniquely treacherous, as evidenced by the way the devs remapped the Thompson house.

Sheva, we need sheva.

Your last point about them not removing their owned content from their own service is why ST is leaving DBD and other games. Netflix is adding games to their service and like with their TV shows and films they want Netflix to be the only place to play their original games.

Im surprised Capcom didnt after the state of the chapter it came out in. I do like the skins though, i wish Claire Redfield didnt look like a goblin too.

Capcom games have been in worse states though, two companies perfectly partnered up

I don't get this mentality. No one is going to stop playing DBD and try your service to play games just because they have the ST logo slapped on it, unless it's a DBD knockoff. But on the flipside, people who enjoy the DBD ST stuff may still dip into it. They're essentially saying 'no, thank you. We want less money'. Strange thing.

It's the whole point of Netflix. If you want to experience Netflix content, you must subscribe to Netflix. Now that they are making a big leap into gaming they are applying the same though process behind their video content to their gaming content.
Oh and for those of you who still think this is BHVR's fault well an entire Stranger Things game is being pulled from Steam and GOG after tomorrow.
