Can We Allow Survivors to See Killer Ping in Lobby?
I do not see how this could be detrimental.
I do not particuraly wish to play against a Killer with over 150 ms of ping and I also do not want to DC.
Survivors should be able to see the Killer's ping in the pre-match lobby screen, just like how Killers can see their own ping.

Completely agree. Had a match earlier where I got wind scythe by a Bubbas chainsaw when he was 4 steps away and behind a hook. It was pretty messed up. After the match, Dude was speaking Spanish and learned he was from Mexico with 215 ping. Fun times.
Edit: My ping was 59 if you're wondering.

I'd be down for this

Or, can they actually fix hit validation so that the person with the best ping doesn't get penalized? That's asking too much, right?

Unironically, in a stream where they explained hit registration, they said that 150ms ping is pretty good.
Barring that facts that their own ping check system would give you a yellow bar for that lag, and that if you repeated that statement to any players of any reaction-based online pvp game you'd immediately be treated as laughing stock, I wouldn't hold my breath they'd go through with that change if I were you.

YES PLEASE!
I have asked about this for years now, it would be much better. I'd rather wait for another lobby than play a miserable match with a high latency killer.

Also - waiting for this thread to be moved to the Suggestions section xD

Yeah, I think I remember that.
150 ms ping is horrific in most other games.

If I can recall couldn't you see killer ping in peer to peer days

That was a long time ago, but I think so.

I'm starting to feel the brunt of some of these latency hits, it's like the server can't handle the load from the event. At this point I'm not even waiting for my first step after a vault to think I was clear, I wait for the 'thunk' noise as the killer hits the wall. So many times where I get two entire steps from the window after a successful fast fault and I still go down.

This will probably not be possible.
There are people playing without any possibility to have a Server nearby. So Hit Validation needs to be quite generous, because otherwise those players would never get any hits. (Which makes Hit Validation pointless if you are unable to provide Servers to everyone)
So showing the Ping in the Lobby is the best solution.

The other solution is to add more servers.
Adding a ping indicator will be the easiest solution.

Yeah, there's only so many times I can handle this in a night. I wouldn't play it if I knew the Killer had high ping.

With the rise of VPN thanks to hackers I think showing the ping is fair. How much frustration/anger could be avoided if someone could leave a lobby they knew was going to have really bad lag?

Would be very nice, yes.
Also, show in the end game lobby if the killer has left.
