What are times you've sinned in DbD?

Got this idea from the DbD subreddit. Have you ever acted unfair, toxic, sweaty, or just a little mean in trials? If so, what have you sinned?

The Entity will forgive you.

I just played trapper and got eyrie of crows three times in a row (my least favourite map on him). Ended up with 2 people In basement, 3 traps at all entrances and circling shack like a hawk. Wasn't gonna play eryrie again this time lol.

I flashlight saved against a killer who clearly didn't know what they were doing and was struggling.

    Twice.

    Fortunately, I died for it.

I remember the game I got adept Wraith, one of the survivors was afk. Between that, like 7 hooks at 4 gens, and Shelter Woods, one of the remaining survivors came up to me and surrendered. I let her pallet stun me a few times and do a gen because I felt bad about the whole thing... but I turned around and murdered her anyway. RIP Jane. Our friendship was not meant to be.

I've BMed and talked trash a few times, not proud of it. Nothing like super toxic but typical game trash talk.

Gotten better at not doing it at all past year though

I don't do the whole "i had a bad game so im gonna ruin somebody else's game" thing but if I'm having rough games, I do change my playstyle to be a bit more ruthless.

I made a post on this a while back, but this was an accident on my part, I was slugged on the ground, and I was going to try and get the killer to open a locker instead of picking me up, and just keep them opening the locker, well it just so happened that the locker I crawled to had one of my teammates in it

sorry bro (it wasn't a Dwight)

One time I pretended to farm as a infinite tombstone Myers, I thought it was glorious but obviously the survivors had a lot to say about it lol

    Depends.

    • If you were to ask me I would tell you have I never sinned.
    • If you were to ask anyone who believes there is a survivors rule book for killers. Id imagine they would tell you I have sinned every single time I played a match as killer.

I've facecamped a kate and hit her on hook on my first ever match as hag because I did poorly.

I facecamped a dude who's steam profile was filled with "facecamper" comments.

He was mad as hell, but it just felt right...

I did horrible things for the Jake bubba mask. I am also known to hook right next to open hatches.

This was when killer switch existed but whenever someone had a killer = DC name I would intentionally switch to that killer for a easy 3v1

I used to believe doing "vent games" where I go out of my way to make player(s) in matches after a frustrating one miserable as some sorta payback made any sense whatsoever. I should not be forgiven for that.

I admit that when I first got the game, I would BM the killer in and after the match. Fortunately it was never anything extreme, but you get the gist. I'm not proud of it, and I thankfully stopped when I started playing killer for myself.

I used my Bond to sandbag a Claudette who spent most of the match creeping around doing nothing.

There was one time I died at the end to a Pig with NOED and the rest of my team escaped. I said ggez and now I feel bad for it. Kind of want to find that Pig again and tell them I’m sorry but it was a mistake on my part.

People that get saved and try to go next match by afking under hook or fast vaulting constantly I just leave them slugged the entire match so they waste as much time as possible

I once threw a pebble and it landed near a survivor hiding which got the killer's attention and was found.

I only face camp if I'm playing Bubba and I've only gotten 3 or less hooks by the time 3 gens pop.

I like being clicky clicky towards other survivors.

I camped as a doctor because I got tired of getting opponents who were better than me over and over (this was before MMR).

I go around and cleanse totems and open chests instead of doing generators because I get tired of looking at a gen all the time.

If I get to second stage on my first hook and get rescued, I’ll remember who it was that was just hiding and not helping and let them die when they get hooked.

I sometimes forget to boop the snoot.

I use to be THAT guy not too long after I had started playing. The guy who'd bring old ebony moris on meta stacked perks and addons after a bad game. I would bm hard just to take out my frustrations. Anyone remember mori spam? Sometimes I would even do facecamp bubba or wraith just to get reactions. Before bt was reworked to activate on every unhook rather than just terror radius it was super easy to tunnel as wraith. Now there's nothing wrong with camping or tunneling as legit strategies, but I was doing it just to be an #########.

I don't remember when I finally chilled out but I eventually did. I think it was when I started learning how to play Nurse (on ps4) and after games I would get a lot of compliments for playing well. Combine that with the fact that I was leaving my edgy mid teen years and I grew out of it. Looking back on it even makes me cringe a bit.

Now today I'm generally pretty mellow when playing killer. I'll still play to win like anyone else, but I prioritize 12 hooking most of the time because I like to go for many chases. More often than not I'll give hatch to the last person. If the survivors decide they want to screw around for the match, I'll usually happily join them. I don't really care to stack hard meta perks and add-ons and I don't really care to bm anymore even if somebody else starts it. My way of bming now is just staring at the survivor for a few seconds (after I hook them) in disappointment after I catch them tbagging at gate or something. I think it sends a better message lol.

But now if you'll excuse me I'm going to go play a regular game of Myers using my standard build.

I wanted to spare meg one time when she dropped her medkit. Instead of signaling her to pick her medkit up so she can keep it, I tombstoned her. :(

Trying to heal teammates who refuse the heals was my favorite hobby at one time.

Oh man, that first one reminds me. Once I was screwing around during an easygoing game and flashbanged my teammate on a gen for lols. I forgot that flashbangs create a loud noise notification... she ended up in the Trapper's basement.

I used to frequently play legion before thier recent buff and would only make survivors mend Repeatedly until they gave up or went down. I also have a google doc filled with me getting a hundred moris on survivors using rancor ghostface. Additionally, I plan on doing the same for demogorgon the mori thing.

I teabagged 2 survs as Ghosty, as they were teabagging me, while they were at the gates area…they didn’t seem to know Blood Warden was activated.

the last thing I remember was Rudolph Zarina going “no” on the ground

That's not a sin, that's enforcing complementary attendance to your How To Be A Half-Decent Teammate training sessions.

You, my good mod, are a fashion pioneer. I unironically want that outfit for my Clown now. Those survivors were b l e s s e d and I'm not taking counterarguments today. Maybe I'll allow it to be blursed.

Also, I'm dying at the Star Wars gif, that's too real--

I think only if you did it to prolong the bleed out timer and hold the game hostage. Never did that though. In fact I've never held the game hostage in any way.

    I have sinned.

When I was but a younger and more emotional Killer, I would not tunnel out those who looped me over and over again.

    Nay.

I would down you and stand on top of your sad crawling person, watching as you helplessly bled out.

Your friends, they would try to distract me, lure me away, or madly dash in to pick you up, but none of that mattered.

I would soon have you down again, then you’d die and the terrible things you would say…

Oh how I still have and cherish your words!

D'aww, thank you <3 I do like to consider myself a pioneer of DbD fashion and boldly go where no Survivor or Killer has gone before, like my handsome Dweet I know I've posted previously a while back:

And yeah, I was simultaneously a smidge angy and also laughing when they responded with the Star Wars GIF, and for a while later, anytime we were in Discord, and I brought up that I was playing Ghostface before switching to survivor to play with him and our friends, he'd just say, "They were Younglings, Anakin!" and I couldn't help but laugh and then sass him back for it rofl

    Sins ...

Systematically slugging pre-nerf OoO to death, is it a sin? Of course not.

As a killer, emphatically nodding to a bully who didn't plan I could simply let him die on a corner (hooking it was not an option) until he DCed, is it a sin? Hell no.

Oh, ... I know. And I'm not too proud of that one.

RPD, as a mid-tier killer (can't recall which one) I hear a Boon spawning at the top of the library and I see a survivor flee the scene. I'm naturally pretty annoyed and decided that snuffing his life would be a better alternative to looking for Boons on this bloody map. He didn't appear to be very experienced yet I've tunneled him out and finished the game normally. One survivor survived the trial. On the scoreboard, I could see no boon on my first victim. The one who got out was the culprit. I felt pretty bad tunneling the other guy 😔.

I will commit actual DBD sins if I have a Tome challenge to kill the Obsession, especially 10 times. It's the best time when you force a DS to create a new Obsession.

I think once as a Survivor I've t-bagged intentionally to annoy the killer (not even to draw aggro, I just didn't like them), and I don't even think they deserved it in any capacity.

I've also been pretty mouthy in end game chats instead of just gg'ing and moving on. The worst ones are when someone says "GG" just as a pleasantry and I'm spouting nonsense like "iT WAsN't A gG". Just move on idiot me.

There was one time when a rando farmed and sandbagged me and the Huntress I was playing against wasn't cool with it. So when she caught this survivor, she let me walk up to the hook and farm them TWICE and knocked them down and rehooked them until they were dead while I tbagged the entire time.

I then stood there and let the Huntress kill me too. It was my own brand of justice and the killer clearly agreed. This was YEARS ago tho XD
