Why do the best killers have the best add-ons?
Killers like Deadslinger and Hillbilly have like only 4 good addons at best.
Meanwhile, Blight has two of the most broken addons in the game, Nurse can become an anime character, and Spirit can just become the flash.

Devs don't know how to balance. That's really the only possible answer after all these years.

I mean Blight without Alchemist Ring can still very well hold his own no problem
As well as Nurse without Range or Recharge
Id argue Spirit can also do quite well, its just her add ons give her a lot more wiggle room

Spirit's not really that great anymore without her top addons, but yeah, Nurse and Blight get to eat well when they're perfectly capable of mass murder addonless. On the other hand, you've got killers like Freddy that have absolutely nothing going for them with or without addons.

I disagree. Only omega blink Nurse can be considered overly strong. Spirit is only viable with Mother Daughter + Cherry Blossom which kinda compensate for her nerf. Blight is the only one who has a variety of add-ons that make him very strong since he has Blighted Crow, Alchemist Ring and both of his iris are good.
Meanwhile other less strong killers have much better add-ons, such as Myers, Clown, Pig, Wraith, Trapper, Sadako, Pinhead and so on. They may not be strong but they have much better add-ons than Nurse for example.

with the most recent IW nerf u cant say that about Spirit anymore.
Also, trapper? Wraith? PIG???? MYERS?? not even with his best addons trapper is a decent pick, Myers addons are “Fun”, but not strong his scratched mirror is completely dependent on map, his iri addons can be completely negated by genrush and good loops. PIG even with her purple top notch addons, is still 1000% dependent on RNG. Sadako is same as Myers: fun, but not strong.
pinhead I agree when u say his addons are strong but not when u insinuate he is weak lol. Also Nurse’s best addons are geen and yellow which make her even stronger.

Her dependence on Cherry Blossom? Okay fair enough, but she still needs Mother Daughter to be unpredictable as she was before the nerf.
I didn't say that the killers were strong, I said that the add-ons are strong in a way that they improve the killer's gameplay by a lot. They are still weak, but certainly improved.
Edit: I don't think Pinhead is weak. He is B tier IMO, just extremely frustrating to play.

if u think nurse’s range addons for instance they dramatically increase her map pressure, and chase potential which are already huge. Blight, his alchemist’s ring allow for constant momentum which can be lacking against good survs.
Now if u think Myers’ iri addons, his weaknesses remain untouched, no infinite tier 3 will change that, he is still “loopable”, still has the same laughable map pressure and by the time he reaches tier 3 at least 3 gens will have popped. They change ghe gameplay but essentially don’t help with anything really.

well buffing an already good power is more likely to be busted.
However there's plenty of killers with just bad add-ons like PH.
Overall I'd say its just the dev team not having a clue what they're doing, like most problems.

When I talk about strong add-ons, I normally mean add-ons that make the killer almost unrecognizable but also much better. Myers is the worst killer in the game, but tombstone and infinite tier 3 make him so much better. Meanwhile, Nurse is already strong by herself and by using her range add-ons she becomes better but base Nurse is still strong.

You say that, but Pyramid Head is the single most over-hyped killer in the game, with people calling this B-tier character S-class.
And he has the absolute worst selection of addons in the entire game.

Hmm I see. I understand what u meant now. I just think strong addons make up for a killers shortcomings or weaknesses (i.e. Hags shackles for instance). But ur right bro, by ur definition it does indeed turn Myers (and the others) much morr palatable haha

There's not really any correlation between killers being good and their add-ons being good. Meyers is generally considered a pretty weak killer but he also has some of the best add-ons in the game in my opinion. Clown isn't widely considered a great killer but his Red Pinky add-on is really solid.

Yeah, its baffling sometimes.
Especially if you think about it that they nerfed Pinky Finger (even tho the annoying part still remains and it is still busted as hell), an Add On from one of the worst Killers in the game without any compensation to his Kit or other Add Ons and in the same patch they buffed Adrenaline Vial from Blight from his worst Add On to one of his best Add Ons (while leaving the other busted Add Ons he has untouched).

Blight needs to lose alchemist ring, blighted crow, rat, iri tag, c33, c21, adrenaline vial and summoning stone. All of these addons are ludicrously overpowered and he can do fine without them. Blight doesn't need and shouldn't have addons that significantly improve his strength.
Nurse needs a general add-on nerf. She has too many good ones - either rework her to have a different power or do wide sweeping nerfs to everything. Same as blight.
Spirit also needs a general add-on nerf. But at least she isn't as busted. (for now, until stridor spirit makes her return) she's the least priority.

They are already good, meanwhile half of the cast struggles against good teams and some don't even have add-ons they can rely on.

Pyramid head is God tier but his add ons are... Meh, ghost face is also great and his add ons are alright... Idk why his best add ons are brown but I won't complain

Give any ghostface player, don't matter how good they are, a decent player will loop them for minutes, not a good killer at all.

They make her teleport even shorter if she can't pass through them, she also doesnt have to walk around them like every other killer which saves a lot of time

GF has a weird dichotomy to me. he's a trash killer who I bully very easily, but he's my kryptonite because me and my team always gets grabbed and dies within the first 30 seconds, so we never get to that chase part haha.

Nurse has only 4 good addons, 2 range and 2 recharge. The rest is meme level.
