Would the Twins feel less slug-ish if Victor could summon Charlotte?

The title kinda says it all lol. But my reasoning is that every time I play Twins I can see why Twins players tend to slug so much. Not only is it effective, but also walking back to the survivor with Charlotte after getting a down actually wastes a lot of time, making it better to just use Victor to pressure at least one more player with an injury or a down to compensate for the fact that I still need to walk to the slugged survivor. That made me think that if I could just summon Charlotte to Victor after downing someone I could just hook the survivor right away instead of slugging for extra pressure. I can also think about how this mechanic could make it less appealing to use the Twins for camping, because now you can scout with Victor and, once you find someone, you can summon Charlotte to shut down a loop. Camping with one of your bodies would still be very effective, but at least you would have a bigger incentive to use the two bodies as a chase team tag instead of remote camping. Do you think that this mechanic could add a good QoL change when playing as and against the Twins?

I would love something like this. I hate playing twins bc of the slugging part. And maybe they should change the longer cooldown after downing a survivor bc it feels very bad to be punished like this for using your power in the best possible way.

It really makes no sense Victor can’t be recalled at the killer’s volition. The choices are to let the survivors crush him, or wait out that sluggish idle timer (think it’s 30 seconds?).

It’s one of the primary changes I would like to see for Twins in the future.

Only if there is a animation of the old charlotte wittling away and a new one is born around victor

It could be interesting, to say the least.

I think the biggest problem with Twins right now is that their tag-line is somewhat that you can play tag with them (pun intended), but the long and sluggish wakeup periot totally throws a wrench into that. For this killer to function as intented and to be fun to play you would have to switch between the two at a blistering fast pace, like park Charlotte at a corner, herd the survivor around a loop towards that corner and instantly take control of Charlotte to catch them.

Apparently in the original Twins PTB they were very much like this and people hated to verse them? I know that something like this can be oppressive and strong, but hamstringing them like they are now is no fun at all for the killer. The killer controls are often soooo sluggish and unwieldy by design, that its borderline unbearable. Play any modern (heck or even 20 years old) shooter and then come back to DBDs killer gameplay.

I understand that unwieldy and clunky controls are somewhat a balancing act, BUT the killer is supposed to be a deadly, well, killer, right? And not some bumbling baffoon who just happens to have stumbled about a big cleaver. Killers should be experts at the use of their power, not having to invest massive time just to learn how to play around these artificial limitations.

So, circling back to the Twins, their long wakeup and grogginess period is the sole factor that makes them quite unfun to play and unintuitve to learn.

I think while controlling Victor, Charlotte should walk at 50% movement speed in his direction until 10m away from him. That way she'd stay far enough to not bodyblock loops for him or the survivor, but also not be miles away when you jump back to her.

It would also make it harder for Twins players to camp as the body would move away from the hook naturally.

gameplay wise I think it would be quite cool and add some interesting situations into the game but wouldn't fit lore wise.

not a fan of this, you'd get disoriented a lot with charlottes location constantly changing, would make it harder to plan ahead for example herding a survivor into charlotte or victor then switching would be more difficult. you couldn't hide charlotte in areas around gens to surprise survivors.

That idea sounds pretty fun, but it kinda makes it concerning that they would just become another killer like artist or dredge that completely shuts down a loop and forces the survivor to hold W.

PTB twins were... pretty much a joke lmao. The incapacitated status effect didn't exist at the time (in fact, the effect was created just to be applied to a survivor that had Victor attached to them) and you couldn't recall Victor, so if the survivor decided to keep Victor hostage, not only would they be able to perform any actions with him, but also you couldn't do anything if they just decided to play safe. The time to switch between the two of them was not different from pre-rework Twins, so yeah you could use Victor to herd a survivor to Charlotte, but you would pretty much only be able to get a hit that way if the survivor committed a big mistake
