Should slinger ads time be reverted?
I think slinger ads time should be reverted but I would like to see what people think.
Some of my main reasons are he has no map map pressure so he needs the chase pressure and he feels very slugish and clunky to play it also does not make sense why he aims so slow because he is a very good and dangerous bounty hunter.

Reverted? No. Buffed? Perhaps.
The reason the change was made in the first place was because ADS-spam was a lose-lose situation for survivors. Zone yourself out avoiding shots that never fire, or try and call the bluff and get speared. Pyramid Head's Rites of Judgement into M1 was changed for the same reason. It was a lose-lose situation, vault the window or pallet and get hit by Punishment of the Damned, or fake it and get M1'd instantly.
There has to be consequences or counterplay for interactions like that.

I think it's fine as it is, and I play Slinger quite often. The snap shot was really busted and honestly shouldn't have happened in the first place. It'd be like if Huntress could instantly throw a hatchet. I know a lot of people will probably respond to that with "but deathslinger doesn't get a guaranteed hit". Which is basically not true if you know when a shot is a good or bad one.
What I would like to see is an add-on pass with quality of life improvements. Like making the camera less clunky, making the ads turn speed actually usable, or anything like that. I think he's perfect as he is with his base kit. The reload time isn't super long but also encourages you to think about reloading and gives survivors some breathing time between shots. You can basically hit a survivor over any loop that their head sticks out from. Most of the times you can clip them from places their heads don't even stick out. Slinger is very capable and doesn't need many changes. He's really only capped by skill when it comes to chase.

I still get success by taking the closer range shots and only committing when I feel I have predicted their movement correctly. Less missed shots mean distance gained and less time wasted.
He is one of the best killers at interrupting healing if you have the right perks equipped and are so inclined.
If they cannot heal, they are one-shot and very vulnerable to the chain.

A C tier killer at best (pre nerf) should have an unjustified nerf reverted? Yes he should, will bhvr do it? Absolutely not, he was only nerfed because one of the devs got clapped by a slinger during one of their play sessions so they nerfed him because of it and yes they do in fact nerf some killers because of things like that (I'm the reason impossible skills check doc was nerfed.)

He's terrible now. Feels terrible to play, has terrible results, and is terrible compared to every other ranged option in the game.
All of his nerfs should be reverted.

I mean, there's a YouTube video of Mathieu Cote getting flashlight bullied in a Korean Twitch event and shortly thereafter, they nerfed flashlights.
If you think public shaming doesn't motivate devs to lash out at the thing that humiliated them, you're not treating them like people. It's only human.

There is not one video of the devs facing a slinger. Also like the guy above said his nerfs were justified cause his ads made so many lose lose situations it was not fair at all

Oh right: that mechanic where survivors can juke just like every other killer attack, works at tremendously short range, has the tiniest little precision hitbox instead of Huntress' brickhouse hatchets, lets survivors use terrain/pallets/vaults to prevent a hit, and requires the killer to recharge after every single attempt.
What a terribly unfair power. So many lose-lose situations! They can only reliably hit even moderately skilled players at lunge-distance, but surely that's a total lose-lose!
You know what? I bet it was B O R I N G too! Probably O P P R E S S I V E for the game! If only all killer powers could be high-risk, high-skill, low-payoff! The game would be way more fun for everyone!

I think his terror radius needs reverted more than his ADS.
Overall though? Yes. A lot of the stupid changes he got should be undone. He wasn't all that crazy good before his harsh nerf and now playing as him just sucks.

Revert terror radius nerf just make sure monitor and abuse can't be used on him

I don't get why people keep complaining about Deathslinger ADS when it's just fine atm and also fair for survivors. The only difference is that it now takes more than one braincell to to run tiles. The terror radius is what needs to be looked at, and perhaps Modified Ammo Belt could be basekit? But no, he doesn't need quickscoping to do well.

you literally could not juke his chain with the right math and movement humanly against a god slinger it’s virtually impossible to dodge his spear. His ads was 0.15 seconds and he could shoot as soon as he hit the button.
If slinger wasn’t nerfed and he was the same scott Jund would give you his profile so you can prove he’s counterable in a chase.

Not really, as much as he feels horrible to play, the constant survivor whinning about him has stopped, which is a good thing, now he does need some addons changes (hellshire iron is literally useless) and the tr change to actually get rolled back.
That being said, now he falls into a category most killers fall on, that being, you can be as skilled as you want with slinger, any good survivors will mop the floor with you.

I'd decrease his ADS to 0.25, maybe even 0.2 and his lower sights to 0.5, but then really gut his ADS movespeed down to 70%, active both when aiming down and lowering sights. That way he'd lose a lot of distance if he spammed ADS.
Also give him 24m TR with 24m lullaby, him having a 32m TR feels lame. If the issue was getting shot outside of his TR then a lullaby would fix this.
It saddens me that BHVR don't do more number tweaks like this and that Slinger will probably be left in the dust. He's still fun to play and all, but he feels clunky, abnd nerfed.
Not every patch has to be a huge rework or lots of changes to a killer. Why not make many small changes to several killers and see what sticks?

Then you're a biased killer main too. Have some self awareness. Deathslinger as fine as is, he doesn't need to be made stronger in chase when he's already near unloopable if the person playing him has ever played an FPS before cause of the amount of tiny holes on tiles.

I think it needs to be reverted and a cooldown added. Ads being basically instant, but when you release it you can't ads again for 1 second.

Terror Radius 32 m ---> 28
Base reload speed buffed by 5%
Miss shot cooldown buffed by 5%
The cooldown after canceling attack 1 sec --> 0.5 sec.
Here... Much better now.

While they most definitely are a heavily biased killer main. I disagree about Slinger. He is miserable to play as. They over nerfed him. This is coming from someone who's second most hated killer is Slinger.

i think insta scope should still be a thing but if he cancels, it should still have a delay to prevent m2 fakes.
make his reload time less and give him better addons, i know that if they do all this slinger would still get gen rushed to oblivion especially now with corrupt nerf but at least he won't be annoying to play.

Spoken by someone who probably hasn't played Slinger once since the nerf. If he's still an unstoppable, uncounterable chaser in loops, would it even matter to you if his ADS was faster? It would purely make the killer feel better to play as.

I'd rather encourage skillshots more tbh. Decrease the TR nerf, give a 32m/40m lullaby (whatever BHVR decide) increase max range to 24m (his TR), make skillshots easier to do in some other capacity be it increase hitbox, fixing inconsistency, making it harder to break free, that one iridescent that exposes people spared from more than 15m away made basekit, etc. Make gameplay where you actually take the shot far more rewarding than gameplay where you just ADS spam and quick scope. Make it better to actually take your time and fire and hit and not just spam ADS up and down until they're hit.

I don't think the nerf should be 100% reverted, because it would make him slightly OP (this is why he was nerfed, because there was no counterplay). But, in fact, he should receive some buffs, such as: less reload time, higher movement speed while aiming, higher movement speed while reloading, possibly some pink add-on that allows 2 shots before reloading and so on.

I think you're the one trolling. You're implying Slinger is OP or something after the nerfs, and now you're comparing a Slinger buff to a Nurse buff?
He wasn't even OP before the nerfs, he still has to reload at the minimum 2 times per down and is 110. His struggles are in the 4v1, not the 1v1, so what does it matter if his power is oppressive in chase? It feels clunky and bad to use now, if that's fine with you then great, you'll see far fewer Slimgers cause his power feels bad to use.
Right now he has nothing other than being easier than huntress. But not as easy as Trickster.

In my opinion i would go bacl to pre nerf deadslinger but with now TR if a deadslinger wants it can zone you anyway and snap shotwas the fun part of him playing as him and I had fun playing vs him and predicting shots.

Not the OG time but more like 0.25s instead of 0.4. 0.4 is waaaaaay too long for how small his projectile is.
Plus give him wardens keys built in because he's overly reliant on them.

sadly slinger got way more nerfed than PH , hes M2 into M1 is still there . but is a bit more harder to do and less punishing compared to slinger , also after the "NERF" they also buffed his recovery for using the M2 range attack leading to the PH we have right now constanly spamming range attacks untill you hit someone with a small penalty compared to slinger that needs to reload every time.

No, the ads time is fine as is. However, I think his turning rate while aiming shouldn’t be slowed, right now while he’s aiming it feels like he’s walking through mud. He’s the only ranged killer in the game who can’t turn at normal speed while aiming for some reason.

Deathslinger didn't need to be nerfed. Only thing he needed was a sound cue to when he points his harpoon like huntress does when she lifts her hatchet up.

If that was actually the case, you'd see Deathslinger more than once in a blue moon. And I don't know about your games, but in mine, the Deathslingers usually don't do that great.
He feels awful to play and he's a downgrade to Huntress in every way that matters, so there's precious little reason to pick him. He was overnerfed and needs help. ADS probably shouldn't be what it was before, but his TR and his turn rate are both horrible.

I've considered writing a script that cranks my mouse DPI when I right click as DS.
That is if I could still tolerate playing that poor killer anymore.

Kind of like for years survivors had dead hard, iron will and ds. Fix your ######### ups and get a free escape from trial and chase. No counter play for all of that crap, some how, I assume you think that was fair.

Everything about him needs to be reverted - except for the punishment for dropping out of ADS to make spamming his power to zone people less efficient.

His ADS time is fine, but his terror radius can be reduced to at least 28 or 25 meters and his addons could use some buffs as well. Other than that, he's fine.
