PLATFORM - Nintendo Switch


DESCRIPTION - Running in a diagonal direction ( which is not forward, backward, left or right ) will result in slower running speed.


REPRODUCTION - Run in any diagonal motion


BUG FREQUENCY - Affected every match while using:

*Console Docked:

**Joycon Controller

**Wired Generic Controller

*Handheld Mode:

**Joycons attached

**Joycons not attached (Joycon Controller)


BUG URGENCY - This bug causes both killers and survivors to "lose ground" when chasing or fleeing. By changing direction in any way during a chase you will be slowing down for a brief moment when making the diagonal movement causing either the survivors to gain distance from you, as a killer, or the killer to close the gap on you as a survivor.

    This is because you have to be pushing to 100% for it to count as running. I've had PS4 controllers that after lots of use become unable to hit 100% consitantly and flicker around between 95% and 100%. I suspect that your Switch controllers are also not hitting 100% in the diagonals.

    This could be fixed by the devs if they tweak the controls so that pushing to 90% counts as running. I mean, there is a run button, so why would anyone be pressing run but not wanting to be running at full speed?
