Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Shadowborn Changes

I did a post about what I would want Lethal Pursuer to be, so I think I am just going to do some more posts with my idea for Killer Perk changes, as I don't play survivor that often.

Shadowborn

QoL - DBD now has an FoV slider.

You have a keen vision in the darkness of the night.

Survivors within a 16/24/32 meter range, are now highlighted in a white aura.

Reason: An FoV slider should already be in the game, not part of a perk. And as newer players mainly use Shadowborn, allowing them to be able to see nearby survivors hiding in dark places (A.k.a Claudette the chameleon) should help them in their early days of learning without right out carrying them.

The inspiration for this change is a weaker version of the Dredge's Nightall Aura.

Fair, but I don't think devs will increase FOV in a hundred years, their minds are made on this. Because a role being uncomfortable to play without a perk is a great way to balance your game.

I actually like this change. At the same time, maybe it is simply time for a base increase in FoV, because I know they don't want an FoV slider. So just make Shadowborn basekit and change Shadowborn to be this, but maybe 32m is too much, maybe 16 or 24 would be better.

The problem is that shadowborn also has a downside, as it makes you more suscetible to flashlight saves.
