The Next Original Survivor Should Be Non-Binary Gender
All survivors and killers are female or male at the moment. We should get at least one survivor who is Non-Binary. They deserves representative in DbD. Transgender survivor would be cool.

Let the devs decide who will be who.
It doesn't have to be the next one. It doesn't have to be the 10th one. It can be the 1st one or the 3rd one.

Ofcourse devs will decide but we have not any trans character in game.
So at least we should have one and sadly these people are not shown much in the media. So i care about this.

With so many celebs now coming out as nonbinary I feel like binary trans people just kind of get erased from existence, specially trans men.

Depends how it’s executed. In the case of a transgender survivor, I know that there is a stereotype of all trans people being drag queens, etc. so I hope that if BHVR adds one, they take a different route than that since that survivor would be representing the entire trans community.

Yeah, already said so in a other thread! Doesn’t need to be the very next original of course or the next LGBTQ+ character in general, as there are so many different kind of representations we still can see

Depends if it benefits them enough to actually do it.
David being gay/bi was extremely safe and the LGBT+ (Mostly the first three) are an extremely powerful network in business, so it made sense to get a good image. Especially when playing it double-safe with an already established character that's loved. I'm not so sure how beneficial a non-binary character would be to the company. Might be, might not be.
I'm not one to care about representation (Do not use this to assume anything), because in the end it's just me being marketed to. My healthy entourage validates me enough. Maybe people need more of that.

They can not make anything about licensed characters but yeah, we should get more LGBT+ characters in next years.
Or maybe add more lore for some old characters. I am pretty sure Claud is asexual and Yui is lesbian. At least their lores gives me these feels.

i dont like the woke idea of having every walk of life being represented in media, esp. in games. sexual orientation or gender shouldn't even be a thing in a horror game.

I'd take some non-binary finery if that is what BHVR wishes to create
I'm not a big fan of companies forcing it (since that almost always makes it just awful as companies trying to force it don't care and companies that don't care will just be sure it checks all the boxes and send them out without a worry of quality) but BHVR at least on the surface seems committed to doing it and doing it right.

But sexual orientations are already exists in DbD for years. I never saw anyone complained about David's girl friend, Nurse's husband or Felix's girl friend etc.

I think they should make a bunch of the new original characters part of LGBT+. Make it regular in DBD instead of rare.

Every single character in DBD is LGBT+ unless explicitly confirmed otherwise that they are cisgender heterosexual. 😎 Nurse/Felix could be bi or in the closet.

intersex =/= non-binary, intersex is sex, non-binary is gender. Also regarding the earlier point, some non-binary people consider themselves also trans, others don’t. It’s an arbitrary line.

Yes an intersex person can identify as a woman or a man. Doesn’t mean there is no other way.
what about a person being born with both male and female biology, who isn’t raised as one specific gender and doesn’t choose one? That sounds to me like non-binary but not trans..

Cisgender: Someone who identifies as the gender they were assigned at birth.
Transgender: Someone who doesn't identify with the gender they were assigned at birth.
Nonbinary: Someone who doesn't identify as a man or a woman.
So by definition, if someone is nonbinary they are trans, because NO ONE gets assigned "nonbinary" at birth.

No, not at all. Read it again. I talked about a specific person that was raised as something and didn’t choose differently later in their life. That is not translatable to every other person and isn’t disregarding those that live differently.

I'll be glad for the next original Survivor to be non-binary. I mean, if it helps for representation, then yes, I'll be happy for the ones who wants to play with them because they have something in common.
I like to play characters who have something in common with me, like Kate has tattoos, Felix is introvert, Mikaela writes stories...
Some people don't care, and I think that if you don't care, you shouldn't be against. And if you're against... Don't talk to me. I'm no part of the LGBTQ+ community, but I'm for all kind of representation for people who want/need it.
We're all different, so that's good to have different Survivors. It's only a video game but for some, and I'm part of these some, it's important to create a bond with their virtual characters.

Except Felix, we love same survivors. I love Kate because her personality fits with me. And i love Mikaela because i also love tell stories.
I am not part of LGBT+ community but i respect them and i wanna see them more in DbD.
