The Next Original Survivor Should Be Non-Binary Gender
Comments

Are you non-binary? No? You are literally being a hypocrite by your own standard, lecturing a non-binary person on being non-binary. You aren’t the victim, quit playing like one. You are not an authority on all trans things and I am not an authority on all trans/non-binary things. Know who is the authority on a person? The person themselves and themselves only.
If you’d even bother taking a half second to realize, you’d realize I said some non-binary people consider themselves trans and others don’t.

The problem with that, i will never hit this dog. They will be so op, they will escape every time against me... Looks busted to me.

Lol, I can see it now. "I wasn't even teabagging you. I was just sitting pretty for a treat".
3 -
Why are you telling other LGBT+ people to shut up on an LGBT+ thread?
You sound like the people who say can be a man lesbian.
You're spreading harmful misinformation about this community and when being corrected you're telling me to shut up.

Maurice is back!
2 -
the whole "your identity is making it harder for other trans people to be accepted" plays directly into the hands of transphobes. last thing we need right now as a community is infighting over ######### like this
12 -
I just want to see the dog's tail wag while it opens a chest.
You know those dogs would spend all game chewing on those totems.
2 -
You know what also plays directly into the hands of transphobes? Misinformation.
1 -
Ah yes, that's why LGBT+ should be tolerant of people like truscum being exclusionary of trans people just because they themselves are trans, right? LMAO
Your identity does not prevent you from being exclusionary of it. Case in point, truscum: Morons that think if you don't have dysphoria, you aren't trans.
The irony in you asking that question when you are actively trying to silence others including other LGBT+ people is hilarious though.

Also sorry to spam and hijack this post. I'd be cool with a non -binary and/or trans person as killer or survivor.
5 -
right, god forbid someone identifies in a way that doesn't fit your own personal definition
9 -
Yknow, I always get a good laugh seeing people who buy into the whole 'gender ideology' thing trying to settle on anything resembling a concrete definition.
3 -
Are man who identify as lesbians valid? By your own logic, they are
0 -
Yeah, but how many times have people mentioned it if it wasn't on a thread about sexuality
1 -
It's not an ideology lmao. There will always be exclusionary morons in any group, even if part of the point of the group is to avoid said exclusion.
0 -
Reminds me of truscum that actively demean trans people as not being trans, just because they don't have dysphoria.
3 -
Still playing the victim I see. I would absolutely be thrilled to have trans men/women and non-binary characters in DBD. Also, ######### truscum. They are literal trans transphobes. You do not need dysphoria to be trans.
4 -
he/him lesbians are a thing, as i understand it someone who considers themself to just be a man can't be a lesbian but when you start reaching into non-binary identities that changes
3 -
In what way is it not? It's just a philosophical theory about 'identity' that holds no more water than any other, and shouting at others that it's fact doesn't make it so.

Omg leaked 6.2.0 patch notes:
New perk type: Companions
Companion perks spawn an AI-controlled NPC into the trial, and are available for both survivors and killers. These NPCs will do different effects depending on which companion spawns in. Companions cannot be killed, however can be temporarily disabled by a variety of means, including stunning them with a pallet or trapping them inside a conveniently-spawning box summoned by The Entity. Their respective players can free their companions, or they will eventually break free in-time.
Each companion has a different movement speed and time it takes to break free, depending upon their effects, so be sure to read carefully to know which companions are best for you.
Along with being included within the next Chapter's character perks, we are adding in 2 new generic perks, one for each side, to ensure all players can use these new perks. These are:
companion: Dog
A Dog will spawn within the trial. They will navigate through the trial to find Dull Totems, Boon Totems, and Hex Totems. Once a Totem has been found, the Dog will run back to the owner and bark to get their attention, before running back to the Totem. This will repeat until the Totem is cleansed.
While within 24, of the Dog, gain a 10/15%/20% increase to Totem cleansing speeds.
Once all 5 Totems have been cleansed, the Dog will remain on the map to happily bark at you.
companion: bats
A swarm of Bats will spawn within the Trial. These bats will navigate through the Trial Grounds until they find a Survivor, at which point they will begin to "swarm" them. While being swarmed, a survivor is unable to complete any conspicuous action. Swarming Bats can be dismissed by either entering a locker or manually waving them away, while travelling bats can be dismissed by stunning or blinding them by any means.
Bats will re-enter the Trial Grounds after a total of 40/35/30 seconds has passed.
After swarming a survivor for at least 45 seconds, the aura of this survivor is revealed to the killer until the bats are dismissed.
[these were not actually leaked, i made them up]

Me being transgender is not an ideology. Like someone being gay is not an ideology. It's just a fraction of our identity.
Like there are fat, tall, short, skinny etc people, trans is just another addictive to what someone is.
I find this way to see it as something simple and straight forward to explain to people who might not understand it fully.
2 -
no way bats?? eddie munson confirmed for next survivor?!?!

Lesbian is a woman who likes other women. He/him are pronouns used for people who identify as man.
0 -
Why is it the same arguments ensue every single time, same people as well?
Please, the discussion wasn't about the definition of the words - have some respect for the OP and their question about what they want represented in the game. If you wish to argue definitions I suggest taking that somewhere else entirely.
24 -
Not necessarily. Pronouns are just what you feel most comfortable with being referred to as, while gender identity can be separated from that. One of my friends identifies as a (cis) man but uses she/her pronouns.
Lesbian (according to one of my lesbian friends when asked about this) is a non-man loving another non-man. If someone identifies as a women but feels most comfortable using he/him then they're still a lesbian, as they're a non-man loving another non-man.
(I'm sorry Mandy, but this comment was written before your intervention and I feel like I need to get it out there. This'll be the last from me on this specific topic on this thread).

Instead of stun should be throw ball/fake throw ball to distract or tell to "sit and wait" for treat.
Also, can pet animal and give treats should be a thing.

Does Jeryl count as non-binary or?

Anyway guys you are talking about the future of the game. I won't debate on the need to add different characters etc...
Let's talk seriously, do you really think DbD will survive the next update ? Have you seen the state of the game ? It is awfull, the fun was already hard to find nowadays but after the update it will be over for good.
Most of us won't play anymore. Personally, today i cannot play more than 3 or 4 games straight as the game design is trash, the net code is the worst in the video game history (by a large margin) and the community is even worst (tunnel, camp, taunting etc.. well you know it).
The toxicity will rise to another level with the next update...
1 -
well that's one way to drag the thread instantly back off topic again.
8 -
I think it's better to close this thread before it "expands" entirely to something else...
Besides, I can see a lot of trolling in here, too.
2 -
The moment is right for TOFU as a DLC costume in the next RE Chapter.
4 -
I'm down for any new character so long as their lore is decent/design is nice.
More representation is never a bad thing so long as it is handled well/tastefully, imo.
3 -
oh absolutely, youre talking to me ofc i want good and well-made representation. its been like half of my comments for the past year and a half
3 -
Sounds like a perk type I suggested in multiple threads already (my idea was a cat-companion that can create distracting scratch marks)
also, imagine skins for these perks to change the colors/patterns (different breeds could still be different perks)
2 -
I know.
Respect.

Lol these threads always feels like a sequel to the last one.

I think the next original survivor should be super cool, have great perks and appeal to as many people as possible.
2 -
Representation matters and is NOT political. The more the merrier :)
9 -
Bias and personal opinion aside. Let's make it a guy at least.
.....or at least look like a guy.
0 -
But sexual preferences are already exists in DbD. Why it is so bothers you?
Plus representations are not political.
6 -
They are political by virtue of following a sociopolitical agenda, in this case a western cultural agenda, reason why you will not see many LGBT characters in eurasian media (for the most part) - they do not fit in their description of what an ideal society should look like. Whether that agenda is good or not is up to discussion but given this game has a primarily western audience it really would not hurt BHVR to go full diverse.
1 -
LGBT people have existed and will always exist regardless of whatever politics go on in the world. LGBT+ existence is entirely biologically natural. LGBT+ existence is not political.
8 -
Yes, but the acceptance of said LGBT people is an entirely different issue, and one that is VERY political. I am not denying their existence, I am affirming the existence of cultural and ideological barriers that make accepting their existence harder inside certain cultural spheres.
3 -
If it is not bothers you, why you are complaining about it? I already said, sexual orientations are in game already. If they did not bother you, trans or gay character should not bother too.
And i did not talk about my sexuality, i don't know why you assumed i am gay.
5 -
Yes, the more representation we get, the merrier! 😄
Also, kudos to the devs for already being so progressive with their game, not every game does that!
4 -
> act like it is [normal]
Oh sweetie it is. And that's why this suggestion is also perfectly normal.
The only non-normal thing here is how defensive people are getting over things they say they don't care about (and how some seem to think that being non-binary is a sexuality).
🦆🦂

i've been really curious for a while now, why do you sign off every message with a duck and a scorpian? not an accusation i just wanna know lmao
3 -
Which is why BHVR should be as inclusive as possible. Not sure if this is controversial, but none of the cultures that reject queerness have any validity whatsoever. I don’t care where you live; nobody has the right to dissuade you from being yourself.
