Are prime cosmetics ever going to the store?
I thought the devs said they didn't want exclusive cosmetics... but aren't prime cosmetics considered exclusive by that standard?
I'm asking as someone who does have amazon prime.

For other games, Prime rewards was exc.
For DbD? I don't know but i hope they are not exc but i don't believe they will be added to store.

Dev say a lot of thing

Not adding them to the store will make them exclusive.

Probably not coming to the store

Their whole argumentation against a good Prestige reward was that they wanted "no more exclusive skins", so surely they wouldn't just start handing out a bunch of exclusive skins to people who have Amazon Prime, right?

Speaking about Prime, the new skin shouldn't drop today or tomorrow?

It says 5 days later on Prime.

Five days? Eww. I wanna know what's the new one. T_T

My money is on Jeff cosmetic but we'll see :)

A Jeff cosmetic? Oh my, oh my. It better be a good one. But we'll see as you said. Five days for the truth to be revealed!

Not hand out, but put it on the store, so they arent exclusives.

When/where did they say they didn’t want exclusive skins anymore?

When they started giving out the lunar exclusives from past years.

Twitch shirts are difficult to reconcile with a no-exclusives philosophy. They even added new ones after that declaration, so who knows. Perhaps they will "try" not to produce too many exclusive cosmetics, but sometimes they must. Amazon Prime items have sometimes been forever exclusives in games, and some offer early access to items or recycle old content.

I wouldn't expect them for at least a year or so, but I doubt they'll never come back.

Are you sure they said that?
or was that only related to the past exclusive event cosmetics as they had a different system and couldn’t restore those cosmetics for people that lost them? (While they explicitly stated how they treat legacy differently)

Yes, they even made a blog post about that (cant find the link) stating that they were doing it so everyone would have a chance to get them and so people wouldnt scam others trying to sell accounts with exclusives on ebay and whatever else

If I remember correctly, they were not able to identify who lost the Lunar Event-Cosmetics. So they gave them to everyone, with this they were able to make sure that those players who lost them, got them back.
The part with "no exclusives" came with the Cosmetics which were available at Conventions. Like the Dweard-Head or the Golden Feng Min-Skin. Those were sold for very high prices on Ebay and other platforms and they were also part of a scam. So they wanted to remove the ability to make money of them and also prevent people from getting scammed.

Everyone says they said this and I don't doubt they did. But you really need to take everything BHVR says with a grain of salt. They have released many many exclusives (even if they don't technically call them exclusives) since they said what they supposedly said.

Its still exclusive to people who cant afford them so there will always be exclusivity get over it its part of life don't like it get a prime membership.

As someone who has Amazon Prime but plays DbD on two different platforms, I am also curious about this.

Twitch shirts arent really an exclusive thing. They have set requirements that if met allow them to give them out. Exclusive items would be completely unobtainable which those arent.
2 -
They made a post about it, though they actually stated there that they reworked the storage system to avoid similar issues in the future (which kinda already implied that there would be future exclusive items…):
Yep, but then there is definitely a different between exclusive items earned during events and those earned via promo codes. And while the prime rewards are kinda both, they are only available for a short timeframe and thus probably don’t get treated like those promo code cosmetics which were sold at abhorrent prices

Yeah but heres the difference. They get paid nothing by adding exclusive cosmetics that people get by earning without paying anything.
With the prime stuff, They get paid the big bucks by Amazon to promote Prime.
Rift premium track charms are exclusive too. Paywall.

That's not the word's definition; exclusive means restricted or limited. The Twitch shirts are exclusive; outlining the criteria and that they are currently available doesn't change anything. So while an exclusive item can eventually become unobtainable, this isn't a prerequisite for something to be considered exclusive.

Amazon Prime isn't even available in all countries that can play DBD. I don't think having it paywalled by Amazon makes it exclusive, since cosmetics from old rift can be bought.
But I don't think it a good idea to annoy Amazon customers by giving away the same skins. Just do a recolour.
