For the love of gawd please dont give Sadako the Pig treatment
She is the most powerful killer lore wise, yet she is the weakest in Dead by Daylight,I would have expected to see some buffs already to her by now.
Nobody enjoys playing weak killers with useless and frustrating powers that barely do anything.
BUFF SADAKO,NERF NURSE
Comments
-
Buff Freddy, Sadako, Pig and Trapper.
Nerf Nurse and Blight.
18 -
Yes,Yes,Yes,time to switch the killer meta as well now.
6 -
The Pig treatment...? A handful of sensible nerfs and then nothing for years? I don't think there even are any sensible nerfs you could give Sadako.
Regardless, she's not the worst killer but she's also not as good as she could or should be. There's definitely room for improvement- I'd like to see her TV cooldowns looked at if nothing else, especially now that Dredge has been released and just has a better teleport mechanic all around.
3 -
Please tell me which killer is worse than her?
She is just an m1 killer with a bad teleport and stealth that's not stealth at all.
Her condemnation is useless, this thing needs to be reworked and changed entirely because its either too strong,or too weak.
1 -
Blight should not be nerfed he is hardest killer on the game and requires lot of skill. Nurse needs rework and changed more like oni to be m1 killer at start with 115% movement speed and earn her power.
1 -
Clown and Trapper are both worse than her, and that's just off the top of my head.
Sadako has a decent teleport that needs buffing, and her stealth is by no means worse than any other basekit killer-power stealth. What she does is currently not quite enough for her to reach her full potential, but a skilled player will know how to build around her kit to perform adequately.
That's not enough, obviously. But calling her the worst killer is, in my opinion, a bit of a stretch.
1 -
Just because something requires a lot of skill, doesnt mean its allowed to be super strong
10 -
They nerfed Trapper with hitbox on terrain. Hard
0 -
I would call the change she received during the EGC update less "sensible" and more "overkill."
Also, to be fair, she did get her base crouch speed buffed a bit. Before what it is now, it was horrendously slow.
1 -
Sorry to break it to you but Clown is at least B tier now,I dont think you understand just how opresive Clown can be,especially with the new update with faster breaks and hits.
Trapper is absolutely better than Sadako, his power is reliable and he can snowball like crazy.
On Onryo, you can use the best build for her, best addons, and she's nowhere near close to these 2 killers especially if they use their best perks and addons.
2 -
Her stealth literally tells you she is aproaching and if the manifestation sound was any more loud and telegraphed it could literally tell you where she is in any part of the map, laughable stealth for people with audio enabled.
5 -
She’s the most powerful? I would have thought pinhead and pyramid head would be the most powerful lore wise
2 -
All basekit stealth has some kind of tell or other limitation. Ghostface can be broken out of his, Myers moves slowly and can't lunge, Wraith has audio + visual cues and has to slow down dramatically while uncloaking... Sadako's stealth is not that much worse than those.
I do think the projection cue should be non-directional though, if that's what you're referring to.
1 -
Please explain why spirit is 110 but gets a speed boost when using her power, but blight is 115 and STILL gets a speed boost when using his power? The only nerf blight needs is a 110 out of power and he’d be fine.
7 -
She has two cues, the projection one and one when she manifests, both of them are directional and pretty loud, the second cue is the reason why demanifestation and manifestation mindgames do not work against good players, since you can pinpoint where she is manifesting.
And yes you are correct, most stealth killers are a joke, but that doesn't exclude sadako for being one too.
2 -
Spirit should be buffed to 115 as well. Blight can't use his power every loop and is very hard killer to use so 115 is fine for him.
0 -
I'm not against her cues being softened if/when she gets some balance changes, but that they exist at all is not a problem. Stealth killers clearly need some kind of tell.
I did not say that stealth killers are a joke, nor would I. They aren't top tier, but none of them are bottom tier either.
1 -
Ok, I on the other hand will proudly say that they are a joke against people with more than 30 hours, except demo, if you count him as stealth, dude is sick af.
0 -
It's certainly not a surprise to learn that someone who's so quick to discount one killer will also discard a number of others completely out of hand.
I don't count Demo. It is very good, though.
1 -
This is the reason people think Sadako is bad. If you manifest on top of them it doesn't matter which direction it's coming from.
0 -
You'd have to nerf the skill required then, you can't make something very high skill, mediocre/high reward. That's bad balancing and how you get weak characters in PVP gaming.
0 -
I find it astonishing that when Dredge first came out, people were trying to say that Sadako was better. Like were we even playing the same game??
0 -
This is a joke right? Clown is nowhere near B tier because regardless of any changes, he has no game pressure. Sure, his slowdowns are great for getting hits. But that's it.
Trappers snowball potential is excellent, always has been. Still a weak killer unless the stars align. Just because he can do amazing in some moments doesn't make up for the not amazing machete man moments where you're an m1 killer with no power because survivors are on to you.
Onryo is underpowered, yet has one thing that the two killers you're comparing her against: mobility.
Yeah, clown has yellow bottles, but it isn't a teleport. Trapper is great for locking down one area, but then that leaves a lot of the map untouched.
I don't think survivors should be able to turn off the tvs, but I personally wouldn't know how to balance it. Onryo is just another m1 killer with no antiloop. Which some people love and some people hate.
2 -
Yes this is absolutely true, hence why I remarked this cue is only important in mindgames as it affects mostly this aspect.

Sadako Yamamura is by far the most powerful killer and I'm now going to explain why.
Before I explain I want to specify that I'm talking about the movie version of the character. The original novel version is many in different ways and her powers revolve around a smallpox virus that causes heart attacks.
Nensha: Nensha was an ability she inherited from her human mother (her dad is a water spirit/demon btw). Nensha has a wide variety of skills but is mostly used to burn images/thoughts into objects and people's minds. It normally is just used to let people see memories but she can also use it to instantly kill people by overloading their mind. She can also use it to create illusions and enter people's dreams. Any damage she deals in the dreams affect their real body.
Healing: She is able to heal other's wounds, let a crippled man walk, curse blindness and revive the dead.
Telepathy: Can read other people's minds and talk to them.
Telekinesis: Can lift massive objects with her mind and shake entire streets of large buildings.
Super strength: She can lift people with a single hand and easily tear a human apart.
Future sight: Sadako is able to see the future and look into the past.
Psychic aura: Her psychic powers are so powerful that any human standing near her will gain psychic powers. This is how Yoichi got powers btw.
Hair: She can control her hair like an appendage and grow it to cover buildings. this hair is strong enough to rip people and other ghosts apart and drain someone's energy/lifeforce.
Technology: She is able to completely control all electronics, using them to spread her curse or even explode.
Flight: She can fly/levitate and move at speeds faster than the eye can detect.
Mind control: She can control living people. She can give said controlled people super strength to kill others with ease. She can do this to multiple people at once including those with psychic powers.
DNA altering: She can alter someone's DNA. she once changed a man's DNA so his offspring will be identical to her.
Teleportation: She can teleport to anywhere on the planet instantly.
Invisibly: She can become invisible and can chose if a specific person can see her.
Water control: She can control massive amounts of water.
Bugs: She can create and control massive amounts of bugs including locust and cicadas.
Death vision: Looking in her eyes will instantly kill you. This has worked on other onryo and demons.
Duplication: Sadako is able to multiply herself to create an army of duplicates that can be in multiple places at once.
Weather manipulation: She can control the weather including a massive typhoon that affected all of Japan.
Size: She can change her size to as big as a building to as small as a finger.
Necromancy: She can turn the people she's killed into an army of minions.
Dimensional powers: Sadako created a dimension that she can pull people into. It's near impossible to escape from and she is all powerful there. She is able to create portals to this world through any technology and reflection. Her bugs can also form together into a portal. (The forest with the well is apart of this dimension btw).
Absorption and fusion: she is able to absorb other supernatural beings. in her crossover with the Grudge she meet Kayako, another onryo like her. She fused together with her to create Sadakaya. another time she met the demon king of the underworld. She then overpowered him with her hair and absorbed him, adding all of his power to her own.
Her Curse: Anyone that goes near her corpse or anything her Nensha has burned will get her curse. She can control and manipulate these people all she wants as shown above. it's impossible to remove. Giving someone a copy of her tape won't remove the curse, she will simply spare you.
Basically, she is more powerful than any other killer in the game.

I wouldn't say I discard them quick, in fact I have mained a lot of them in the past, being pig one of my favourite killers to this day, but once I started playing more survivor I realized how easy they are to dunk on, most of them can't do anything in a chase so you have full control over the chase and the ones that do something its very lackluster.
They lack movility and can be easily spotted in non-indoor maps, most don't have any way of slowdown, aside from pig who with her new buff has consistent slowdown btw. And sadako who has a mechanic that will only be a bother for people who are playing something else on a second tab.
The fact that I consider stealth killers bad doesn't mean there are not worse killers but I won't be saying something so easy to counter is gonna be good.

WAS, not is. Coz we have the entity's version, not the "above-God-like" being you listed.
0 -
Pinhead turns her into a cenobite lol.
Infact, I'd love to see cenobite versions of all the killers, like what they did with Blight but with Pinhead lol

Sadako teleport is too punitive when compared to other teleports in game, also the condemnation doesnt spreads as it should be, i am not saying we should be able to mori everyone easily, just that the game CANT BE like the way it is now (you can ignore all the condemnation mechanic most of the matches).
She should have at least an condemnation that make survivors use tapes, or a teleport strong enough that make them turn off tvs
1 -
I like this idea

Cenobites can straight up alter reality. Which literally encompasses just about everything you listed there, and then some. Surprisingly, if you got into the later movies, which are all really bad, they get power boosted to being basically shy of gods. Hell, in one movie, they even broke the fourth wall and willed themselves into existence in a reality where they were originally just a series of movies and a bad video game, bringing all their power with them. Essentially, they can insert themselves into realities where they cannot and should not exist. The only caveat is that they can only do all of this when the box is open... except in Hellworld, which is where they appeared in a reality where they don't actually exist as beings and only as an entertainment franchise. I have no idea how they did that. I don't think the writers did either, and just wanted to get the movie out in time to retain the rights.
Mind you, their power comes and goes depending on who is writing. Similar to Supermans abilities, they tend to serve the function needed for the story, and aren't too concerned about cohesion. If you go by the first two movies, however, they still have the ability to straight up change reality on the fly. The only thing they don't do is fly, probably because they just teleport everywhere and tend not to show themselves exerting much effort. Plus, they would look silly flying.

Assign each generator a TV. Curse the gen so that it can't be worked at unless the tape is removed from the corresponding TV. Also reduce the TVs cooldown after teleporting. This way you generate passive pressure, passive condemnation and force the players to interact with the TVs and carrying the tapes to the far corners of the map.
The de-/manifestation could give a better speed boost, like wraith, but a lot of people are suggesting that she should be able to just phase through pallets and vaults and I don't know if this would be the best solution. It could be fun if she turned fully unclipped and you could freely move through objects and walls while demanifested, but this would alter her kit in an unprecidented way, and even without a speedboost after manifesting this would generate all kinds of problems. BUT it would be interesting and a unique ability.
Also somethings could be done with her hair, but I got no idea what. But its underutilized.

He needs a nerf and many people know and agree with it. He is hard to master indeed but not the hardest killer. Besides his addons are busted af. Just his speed addons are unfun and unfair to go against. His Addons 100% needs to get nerfed and he needs to lose one stack of his power. Guess then he may be fine and still playable for Blight mains.
0 -
Nerfing his busted Add-ons would be fine, but I don't think his base kit needs any adjustments.
4 -
Would be fine to me at the end. Just nerf his addons because double speed addons makes the trial into a solo game if you dont have DH I swear.
0 -
Fair nuff. I just think his base kit is great. Strong, but has good counterplay, very well rounded and rewards high skill with potent results, while not being overly oppressive. His addons, however, could definitely use some ironing out.
1 -
im sorry, did you just call Trapper’s power reliable?
2 -
Don't think Sadako will get nerfed every patch.
0 -
too bad BHVR doesn't care about their Paid DLC killers the same way they do with the popular unpaid ones.
0 -
Cenobite is not stronger than the lore version Sadako.
Its a shame,it makes it seem like they only add licensed killers for the buzz to attract people, adn then nerf them, make them weak.
Really not a good strategy.
