Breaking a pallet should not consume bloodlust. Change my mind.
Bloodlust is not fit for purpose under its current mechanics. If a killer is struggling to catch a survivor - why should breaking a pallet reset the clock?
It's hold W gameplay anway - not like anyone plays the tiles anymore when you can just run to another.

It would make chases far too painful. While I do think survivors should eventually go down, killers naturally gaining a huge speedboost that basically doesn't go away on pallet smash just 15 seconds in is too much. If you are in an area that doesn't have an immediate chain to another pallet/tile you'll almost certainly be hit

It's just another argument for why bloodlust should be removed and overpowered setups with nearby pallets would be better off being changed instead. Some buildings are incredibly strong to loop like that, that also contain a pallet. There's one on Freddy's map, in fact I think more than one. There's one on Nurse's map, there's probably more but those just come to mind.
In general that would be too strong because the point is you make the CHOICE to build bloodlust at some pallets and if you build it at a bad one, you should not be rewarded for your lack of knowledge.

I sort of agree with you..
I'd prefer it knocks you down a tier of bloodlust. So if you're Tier 3, it brings you down to Tier 2; Tier 2 down to Tier 1, and Tier 1 down to no bloodlust.
I don't know if it matters much tho, because if the survivor puts enough distance between you and the pallet the chase will end by the time you even finish breaking the pallet--thus removing bloodlust.
Personally, I only reach Bloodlust Tier 2 or 3 if i'm running a gimmicky build or entertaining my own curiosity as to what it would be like if I didn't break any pallets. I'd like to see some of those gimmicky builds made a bit more viable with this change, just to add another playstyle into the mix

The counter play is - if they get bloodlust, everyone is agreed the chase has went on for long enough. So whats the issue?
My problem is survivors running round the whole map. Its toxic.

I think breaking a pallet should actually ADD a tier of bloodlust. Think about it. If you're kicking a pallet, you're losing distance. So, it only makes sense that the game plays for you while you go watch youtube or something.

At some point killers got to learn how to counterloop and mindgame. Being carried by bloodlust is not the way to go.

Breaking a palette is a reset point in the chase because it also permanently exhausts a survival resource from the map - you're gaining something tangible for kicking the palette. If you want to try to retain bloodlust and rely on it to get a hit, you'll have to ignore the palette. If the palette went down in an area where no amount of bloodlust can allow you to catch an informed survivor out (since theyll just slide back and forth indefinitely) - then you have to kick it. That's what makes a "safe" palette "safe"
Bloodlust is already becoming more powerful - retaining it through palette kicking would be overindulgent and force survivors into some very specific (and aggressive) methods for forcing resets of bloodlust in a way that requires strong coordination, meaning that this change would also come at the greatest expense to solo survivors. That's bad.

It would be too powerful otherwise. I feel like the correct play would then be to purposely get hit, or a killer going mach 1000 could quickly delete all the pallets on the map.

Bloodlust is an awful mechanic. This wouldn't even be an issue if map design wasn't crap. All bloodlust really does it ensure a hit after a certain period of time, because what it's made for isn't counterable. Safe loops aren't fixed by a movement speed increase.
In all truth, bloodlust just rewards bad killers by ensuring free hit on pallets you can normally mind-game or play around. The amount of times I've been in a chase with a killer who just waits for bloodlust, instead of actually trying to play around the actually playable pallet is sad.
Buffing bloodlust doesn't fix anything and just rewards people who don't want to actively try at the game.

It's hard to not hold w when the large majority killers that the devs release right now are very anti-loop and their only viable counter is w-keying and playing safe.
Oh and when we do actually loop, people like you complain and claim that it's boring.
