Quick new player prestige question.

So I just started playing about a month ago. I've mained only hag and basically only use the perks I can buy in store. I haven't prestiged yet (I've reached level 50 bloodweb just didn't prestige). The only perks I have unlocked are her teachables and the store ones. Should I wait to prestige until new update ?

Yes, I'd suggest you wait. Right now if you prestige, you'll lose all your stuff and your perk slots will be locked until levels 5/10/15 again, but if you prestige after the update you won't lose anything at all.

I figured it would be as straight forward as that ! Thanks Jester

    Hello fella.

After update you'll have everything you have now. So I suggest you to wait, save bp and prestige after the update. You're not gonna lose anything by doing so.=)

I recommend Prestiging now to at least level 1 because if you do it before the patch then you’ll be rewarded with two extra Prestige levels automatically (i.e. your Hag will immediately jump from P1 to P3). That’s like getting 100 free bloodwebs on Hag in terms of unlocking her perks on all your other killers!

You will lose your current collection of add-ons and offerings but you’ll get those back pretty quickly as you play her so I think the two Prestige level bump is well worth that trade off.

Cakes are tasty, maybe play matches to use those up first. 🙂

I would say it depends on your desired goal. Have you invested BP into other killers? And do you want her perks on everyone else?

If you're planning to get her perks on everyone else, and/or have everyone else to to 50 even if you don't play them, it might be a good idea to prestige everyone once so that you have all the perks to tier 3 on her, as it'll be harder/take longer to do later.

However if you only care about her and don't ever want to play anyone else or care about other perks outside of what you already have, I'd say wait to prestige as stated above.

My main thing is it says I'll also lose all my perks . I don't realy care much about add ons, I'm maxed out on blood points, and don't really care about grinding . I don't have any perks unlocked on any other killers tho like at all and no intention to switch

Are there perks you’re specifically worried about losing on Hag that you won’t get back through playing her normally? Obviously if you get Hag to Prestige 1 now then when the patch hits those will all automatically jump to level 3. If you do have a specific other killer’s perks that you really want to keep then you could level that killer to Prestige 1 as well and have those perks locked in at level 3 after the patch too.

Yep. I basically run discordance , sloppy butcher, pop, and nurses calling . The discordance, pop and nurses were all bought in store for me

You should wait, use this time to try to reach the rest of the characters to lvl 50 and then prestige them all in bulk the day before the update so they all get pushed to P3 and you get all the teachables at rank3 on whoever you main.

Actually this is an interesting question that I’m not sure the answer to

@MandyTalk Jake above says he bought a couple of perks in the shrine. If he prestiges now are those grandfathered in to the new shrine reworked system where he’ll have those perks automatically available in his inventory, or will he have to relearn them in the bloodweb?

@dugman if they're purchased already on the Shrine and available on characters - so you purchased Discordance for example in the shrine, levelled up Wraith and have Discordance T3 on Wraith, then you will still retain it on that character. You won't have it on characters you currently do not have it on though.

Please note, I'm specifically talking T3 in my example.

I know there's a lot of confusion around the Prestige system and how it works with perks, levels for example. It's a lot easier when you see it I must admit - explaining things like this is not always easy. I'm super visual and have to actually go through the procedure to understand things properly.

Cool! So I only play Hag . I only care about her having the perks I purchased. However I haven't prestiged her yet(not even once) . So long story short if I prestige her before the new update, I will have to unlock the perk slots but the perks I bought from the shrine will still be available for her and all I'd have to do is unlock it in bloodweb ?

you never lose unlocked teachables even under the current system. So when you currently prestige, you lose everything from the inventory - but you can still get everything back in the bloodweb...once a teachable is unlocked it does remain unlocked.

Thank you very much ! That was my main worry that I would have to wait and buy the perks all over again lol

In general I would say no, as the current prestige system resets your character to level 1 and removes everything you had on them (including event offerings / items / add ons that are unobtainable now). The new system will allow you to keep all of that, which makes prestiging in this system a lot safer for newer players such as yourself, as you can just keep playing like you did before.

That said, there is also an upside to prestiging your characters once before the update drops. There will be a catchup system in place that will hand out rewards for everyone based on their prestige levels by adding two prestige levels on top of every one you got now. This means having a character at prestige one will promote them to prestige 3 right away, which will allow you to immediately unlock that characters 3 teachable perks at level 3 on every other character in the game.

Depending on how much you'll play before the update drops whichever one of those two is more preferable might change.

I'd say don't prestige your only progressed character, but if you have multiple characters at level 50 with builds that you are confident playing with, then prestiging some (not all, as that would leave you with no one to play with) might be a good idea.

I also think this is the way to go if you don't have many perks on hag
