If DBD became a movie/series who would be the main character/final girl/boy?
DBD being made Into a netflix original would fit it perfectly so what tropes are you guys assigning to each of the survivors? What would you want the storyline to be?

For me, the main 4 OG characters.
Meg, Dwight, Claudette, Jake.
Imagine it being sort of like how saw movies worked where they were the same concept but with different people each time. For me Meg is the last girl until another new survivor/s enters the fog next season. Etc

Probably none of them, it would likely be about Vigo or the observer. Maybe the blight would be in it too given that he tried to follow in Vigo's footsteps.

Any original survivor that knows how to defend themselves well/is experienced with the supernatural.
So that'd be David, Kate, Elodie, Yui, Mikaela, and Haddie.

I love David but he would absolutely die in a movie lmao. The original 4 with all of them surviving would be cool. Jake would be the smart one when it comes to teaching the others how to repair generators. Claudette would help heal the others, meg would be the hero taking the attention of the killer and outrunning him, and Dwight would be the glue that holds the group together.
So that there are still deaths in the slasher you could just add in others and make it more than 4 in the trial but have them get killed off as time goes on but the original 4 use teamwork and their skills to live.

I feel like the ones who actively fought the killer back would stand a pretty good chance like Kate Mikaela Haddie and Elodie and based off of their perks they are some of the strongest. Haddie has all that esp stuff Kate literally kicked the entity back and Is said to be a ray of light Mikaela has literal magic and Elodie Is borderline telekinetic... The Og four have really strong perks too though.

Meg, Dwight, Clauette, and David would be the main characters at the start, but Nea would be introduced near the end of the first season as the edgy badass character who always shows up at some point, and she would seem like the coolest character at first, but then it turns out that at some point, she started working with the Entity behind the other surrivors' backs, but she has a redemption arc by the end of the second season where she turns on the Entity and saves Meg from Trapper at the last second.

Haddie for sure; one of the original four (Jake, maybe) as well because you kinda have to. Based on character, I'd suggest Yoichi as well but keeping it non-licensed only seems right.

The multiverse Is a thing so you can Include them probably not In a show though who do you think out of the licenses would be a main character I kinda feel like Cheryl has a lot of leader potential or at least would be one of the strongest given her esp powers

I think it would be more interesting if the movie was about the DBD forums. They don't even need to hire a lot of actors-- just a few with multiple accounts. Deception, Love, Intrigue, #LGBT+.

A movie about this game would never have any kind of success, 90 minutes of seeing someone hanging on a hook while a guy with a machete nods is boring, only people who are into artsy stuff like that movie which lasts 8 hours and its just the Empire State building filmed from a distance.
Would you read "and then Claudette got facecamped for 2 minutes straight" for 250 pages? Yeah me neither.

Survivors are all expendable, killers are where the story is at. Make it an anthology series with each episode focusing on a different killer and rotate the Survivors being hunted.
Can't help thinking of it like a saw movie; i don't want or care to know about the people, I just want to watch them meet memorable end.

Most likely the original survivors and killers at launch. I doubt they could afford to use licensed killers in a netflix series because they would need to pay for permission and they'd have to get the actor.
While we're on the topic I wonder. When a survivor dies on the Hook they just wake up back at the campfire. I wonder if they remember dying on the hook? Walk up to a Meg, punch her in the face and yell "Why the $#%@ did you unhook me right in front of the killer".
Well until they die enough times that theres no soul left and they become a killer............I just had a great idea!!!!!! Make a dbd series about a survivor that gets sacrificed so many times they become a killer. Show the process in action.

I could see the film be about the lives of the Pariahs with some creative scope, as two survivors, Élodie and Felix, were part of the group and the disappearance of their parents on Dyer Island would be a good first act. The second act would then be how the members of the group grow up and deal with the loss as they all drift apart from oneanother and then maybe all end up in the realm of the Entity and find each other again, like Felix and Élodie. The final act would then be a trial together, like a round in the game. Since the other three members of the Parahs are not yet known, the film studios would have the freedom to create their own characters, one of whom could also be released as a survivor in the game as a promotional action for the film.
