Will You Still Play Around BBQ & Chili?
With the BP bonus being removed from the perk will you still attempt to counter by hiding in lockers etc?
For the few killers that would still make good use of the aura reading will you just assume the perk will barely be used and have your aura revealed? Thoughts?

Why would I hide in the first place? It's a good thing for the killer to see you. It means they aggro you and that gives teammates time to heal/repair/etc.

No. I won't. If they have it so what? Many will no longer use it (myself included).

Yeah it just feels like second nature to counter it for years now. I probably still will cause it's a force of habit.

I think an issue is the 40m-rule. It should go down to 20m, because it wont work properly on maps like The Game, Midwich or RPD sometimes.

I may still use it, but I think Floods of Rage or Darkness Revealed may be more helpful for me personally after the update.

I never bothered, because a killer using BBQ who saw no auras would usually just either camp or proxy camp the hook due to no direction to go in. If i'm on the opposite side of the map and im the only one they see, I want them to come after me.

I'll probably have Distortion equipped most of the time anyways. Infinite aura blocking with limited scratch mark blocking is just too good to pass up.

BBQ and Chili will probably see a huge decrease in use with the BP bonus gone. Artist, Spirit, Blight, Nurse and possibly Huntress will still see benefit. Sadako and Freddy might get some use. Darkness Revealed synergizes far better than BBQ with Dredge.
BBQ and Chili, though, is just outclassed by the other information perks for the other Killers. Floods of Rage, Darkness Revealed, A Nurse's Calling, etc will show you where survivors near you are which is more important for low mobility killers. 40 meters is a long distance for low mobility Killers.
For gen defence, Tinkerer and Discordance are better than BBQ and Chili for telling you where to go.
I can see BBQ being used as a secondary info perk but then it still needs to compete with chase perks and gen defence perks for that slot so, unless the Killer is one of the Killers it's still really good for, I'll probably stop playing around it. I don't think it'll be seen that much.

I haven’t worried about the aura reading of BBQ in a long time, so no, the nerf won’t change how I play.

Won’t have to when I’m running the new distortion. Can’t wait to counter new lethal pursuer as well

Maybe not, the aura reading is good but the BP bonus was the main drive to use it.
Typically unless you are playing against survivors that are switching up how they play, kinda rare, typically you either don't see anyone on BBQ or they are on the gens you already kinda expected them to be on.

I think it's BS that they removed the BP component, but I'll still use it on my Dredge. The setup I use will let me find survivors easily, just as it always has. Plus with Lethal Pursuer being buffed, aura reading is stronger in general.

I would put 30m personally 20m could be too good.

If it's down to 3 survivors and it's a Nurse then yes. Otherwise not really no.

Depends on if the perk usage plummets or not. I expect some inertia where it might take some people a while to take it off, but on the other hand, I only really dodged BBQ when there was an especial reason to want to go incognito anyway.

Yup always used it for information. Huntress main so info for sniping is great, maybe if i ever unlock that Dredge locker talent i'll replace it but im not spending 9k shards for 1 perk.

I never cared about BP, so it won't change how I use it. Then again, that was when I used to play Billy.
Now I really only play Dredge and Legion, neither of which I use BBQ on in the first place.

Never played around BBQ. As soon as someone goes down, I immediately start making my way in their general direction to get the save.

Yes, on many killers I need that aura to tell me where to go next. For speed mobility killers or teleport killers Its kinda a must have. Without it you just quessing where to go next and maybe wasting your time / abilities.

If I was a newer killer yes but since I have already built in my game sense to suspect where survivors will be.
BBQ was a great perk not only because it gave you bonus bp for not camping but it rewarded you for going after different survivors who may not have even shown up on the aura.
BBQ was a perk to fix camping and honestly I think by removing the bp and not giving something else in return to promote leaving the hook has made this just a weak aura reading perk.
If the devs wanted to they could make it add more time with each unique survivor you hook to get a good chunk of aura reading which could even counter distortion. Or another idea for a secondary action is if you leave the hook and get 32 meters away you are given a 10 second instant down 1 for each new survivor you hook.
