DBD has a Official discord?
Just wanted to know, but might also be a suggestion. Since the game doesnt have a built-in voice talk with other players and most of the PC base use discord to play as swf it would be handy to have a discord server, if we already dont have one.
I play Looney Tunes World of Mayhem since the launch and one time the devs made an Q&A asking where the players would think is better to receive news and such and discord was easily the majority. Also it adds much more transparency with bug fixing (see the image below)
We report a bug in a specific chat, when they start to work in the bug we get a warning in another chat, then if fixed they just edit the message and warn us if the fix is live or not. Also we can kinda "rate" these new using the emojis, its a pretty fun environment

There is a public dbd server that the devs are a part of, but afaik the devs aren't running the discord server.

We do not have an official discord any longer...the discord has been given back to the community to run and we are in partnership with it. It was a discord that was initially created by the community for the community. We are not involved in the day to day running of the discord or the way it's set up etc. We do post news/updates etc in there, the same as we do here.

Dead By Daylight discord is a hot mess.
Just SITTING in killer's channel got me crazy amount of messages of all the possible ways to off myself.
General chat is an absolute chaos with no moderation whatsoever.
The only people that join voice chat for meeting new people are bots/trolls blasting your ears with different sounds.
The only "normal" people you will meet there sometimes, aren't even people who are playing the game, but still they will join channels designed to create SWF.
Imagine how recruiting few mods could change things up :v

Official discords are a nightmare to manage. Recieving and moderating a controlled forum works better than discord.

besides from public chats inside the discord the devs used an "slow mode" on suggestions and feedbacks, limiting one comment for each person every 2 hours (like a twitch chat), so they ban trolls easily.
thanks everyone for replying i will search for the channels, obviously and community channel will be a bit of a mess because there is no one employed as a mod, but might be good
