Does anyone know what the 'Did you have fun?' feedback system actually does?

I can't imagine it's very helpful even if it does actually save the data and it's not just a placebo (which it might well be.) Sure, it can tell what killer, items, or addons were used, but it can't know what strategies were in play, or whether people were BMing/sandbagging/giving up. So when you get feedback like the survivors 4Ed and the killer reports the match wasn't fun, the feedback is self-explanatory, and when the killer 4Ks and reports the match wasn't fun - that's very interesting feedback, but it's iffy whether you can infer why just from the recorded data alone.

I have as a habit rated every single match for 3 years now and i can confidently say it does absolutely nothing. I will continue to use it tho.

they aren't balancing for a 2k average, just a 2 star rating for each match

Gives me something to do by clicking the single circle option after most every match.

I do doubt it actually does something, but I got used to rate the match. Most of them are rated at two or three points in my case.
If I get tunneled or camped, I don't get to play, etcetera, I do rate it three or lower; However, when I get some chases, tunneled reasonably (when generators are flying), I don't mind.. But I do find myself to enjoy playing as a killer much more, if generators aren't flying, regardless of how many hooks I get.

Tbh I plan on asking the purpose of it in their next Q&A. If they have another one at least.

I think at one point the devs intended to have some sort of reward system for people who collect thumbs ups but they apparently scrapped the idea. 🤷♂️ They just haven’t bothered removing the button.
