A few killer perk buff ideas- plz read devs

All terror radius perks (coulrophobia etc): work sort of like the leader buff, where the effect persists for a few seconds outside of the terror radius as well, this would be a huge buff to coulrophobia and I think it may even make it meta. How many seconds I’m not sure somewhere between 10-15 I think 20-30 may be just a bit op.

    That's a good idea, since a lot of the time they are just in the radius for a few seconds or just on the edge of it, that would make those perks a lot more useful

    When I saw the thread title I was ready to have some snarky comment, but that actually is a very reasonable suggestion. 15 seconds is what the survivors perks do, but that might be a little long. Around 10 seconds seems fair. Good idea.

    It's a great idea, but they need to make these healing debuff perks/add-ons not stack, otherwise it will take to heal as long as it takes to do a gen.

    I am fine with this. It still won't make overwhelming presence viable though. You'd need to make overwhelming presence to work only when survivors are NOT in your terror radius.

    I agree, this would make a few good combos. 

    Especially a nice buff for Coulrophobia.

    That is actually a great idea too. One problem with this would be using flashlights but depleting medkits or toolboxes are far more important than flashlights considering the fact that flashlights can easily be avoided.

    Finally good and creative ideas rather than useless posts.

    Sounds reasonable, but it probably wont suceed vs meta perks^^

    Oh dear god. If you run the 'sniper' doctor build with interview tape + green range addon. Some maps you can completely lock that stuff down.

    Can we extend that buff to Stake Out and Diversion as well? Lets say Stake Out keeps charging for 5 seconds and Diversion for 10?

    I think this is an excellent idea, especially since it can make terror radius perks useful on Killers with sporadic TRs or even the ability to mute them entirely:
    - The Wraith can keep the effects on Survivors even when he cloaks, which would especially work with his TR add-ons;
    - The Legion can hit the entire map with his TR using Iridescent Button, making it more useful than seeing a Survivor is extremely far away;
    - The Pig
    - The Doctor with Calm add-ons.

    Honestly this is one the the changes I really hope we see in the game. It’s simple, not asking too much, yet very effective.

    this is honestly such a good suggestion i think i might nut to it.
    jokes aside, if you wanted to make overwhelming presence good (the doctor one, with item consumption rates) you should make it have the opposite effect of working outside your terror radius, encouraging people to act within your terror radius and having that perk stopped for "15s" as you leave the terror radius. in return for the huge buff i'd nerf the rate by 25-50%

    Guys, what are the chances of this happening for the next chapter update?

    This is a great idea honestly, if it gets wasted, I will be very upset.

    Edit; @Peanits since you are replying the threads right now, it is a great opportunity to show this to you if you haven't seen it already. What do you think about this buff? Could it work? It seems to me that a lot of people liked the idea judging the upvotes.

    Coulrophobia
    Overwhelming Prescence
    Unnerving prescence

    Is that all of them? You never really see any of those perks, with Unnerving only being seen on rare occasions with a meme doctor build or low rank trappers who don't have anything else. It would give them extra viability.

    If someone wanted to combine distressing them them, well distressing puts the killer at a disadvantage anyway giving survivors more time to stealth so it balances out.

    The only one which could become a problem is Coulrophobia.

    Survivors already complain about healing times, and it's very easy to be hit with the edge of a terror radius repeatedly sometimes.

    I guess if a survivor can't heal then they'll just go do gens until the killer buggers off. But from what I've seen on this forum a number of people are complaining about survivors rushing gens while injured already?

    I still think it's a good idea that needs at least testing. I'm just trying to think of downsides for balance reasons and to stop any unexpected salt lol

    I do like the idea, I'll just get that out of the way. I think for the most part it would be a good change. But as always I'm going to try to poke holes in this just for the sake sparking some conversation.

    What benefit would this provide most of the time? I know coulrophobia would be pretty noticeable, but the rest I don't think would really make a difference. Overwhelming presence would really only affect toolboxes and maybe a medkit since you probably aren't going to be playing with your flashlight while the killer isn't close, or blowing through a map or key. Unnerving presence would go off a little more, but I almost feel like the more sporadic they are the better the effect. If it's to constant, you'd end up getting used to the smaller skill checks.

    What would prevent cheese builds? Take a terror radius doctor on the game, for example. His terror radius is already large enough to cover most of the map. If the effect lingers he could pretty easily keep you constantly under the effects of his perks while chasing someone around. Or if a hillbilly tossed on distressing and coulrophobia and you end up in the terror radius for a split second as they chainsaw across the map. Or probably worst of all, what if someone uses Iridescent Button and coulrophobia? That would essentially mean that any time you hit anyone, everyone would heal significantly slower for a while. By the time that wears off, you could easily hit someone again.

    Again, I think it's a good idea. The one change I might want to see is that you have to be within the terror radius for a short amount of time for the effect to linger (3-5 seconds, maybe shorter depending on how close the killer is?). I can see it being pretty frustrating to be constantly under the effects of a perk just because someone chainsawed past you and you were in the terror radius for under a second. Otherwise I think it would be nice and would be a little more consistent with the survivor perks.

    And because I know someone will say it, I think it'd be nice if the survivor perks had the same requirement for the lingering effect. You should get the effects immediately, but it should take a couple seconds to get the lingering effects.

    I do think that makes sense, I feel some perks would be very annoying in certain instances, but at the same time they’re very situational and I doubt it would actually be a problem. Just to avoid this I feel as though 3 seconds would be a good time to have the lingering effect after. A lot of these perks are just thrown away from perk build and it’s sad because I’m sure all killers really like the effect, but a nice quality of life update like this would make them heaps better. Like I said coulrophobia might actually be a viable perk if this was added, almost everyone agrees on here. I feel as though none of us can truly be right until it is tested on actual games, if it was just added to the ptb for experimentation that’d be awesome. If the perks were a bit much, you could add the 3 second prerequisite, if they aren’t an issue at all, just leave them with the buff then at least SOME people would use them instead of how they are in their current state.
