A rework idea for insidious
This might be a stupid idea but oh well:
Instead of making you undetectable while standing still it should rather be like an iron will for killers (post nerf) by reducing the noise that the killer makes by 75% (It doesn't affect their terror radius). This would be good for killers like Wraith and Sadako since they emit no terror radius while they are cloaked/demanifested while making little difference for other killers that emit a terror radius like Pinhead.
Like I said earlier this might be a very stupid and broken idea and it might be that I forgot about something that makes this idea worthless but in the end it's just a suggestion.

Insidious - when there is no survivor in the killers terror radius and the killer is standing still for 8/7/6s the killer teleports to a shadowy corner within 24m of a random survivor. After the teleport his terror radius is surpressed for 4s. This effect can only aqctivate once every 120/100/80s. The perk deactivates once all generators are powered or if only one survivor is left in the trial.

Yeah, indeed :D Obviously this is just a rough draft, but I actually think that the core concept could work. Maybe add something like "you start the trial in cooldown" and maybe activate the perks cooldown immediately once the killer uses a movement related power, thus discouraging it on Nurse, Blight, Wraith, Sadako and Dredge (on the top of my head), but giving especially the various M1 killers without movement shennanigans a leg up.

I’d love to see Insidious be changed somehow to be a little more useful. Even with the Bubba facecamping meme it’s not even actually that useful in that setup, he could probably facecamp without Insidious and get the same results.
Maybe if they added aura reading? So while you’re standing still you are basically Scratch Mirror Meyers.

I like the idea of reducing killer sounds.
Perhaps it should reduce killers sounds across the board, at all times, but when you stand still it slowly reduces your terror radius to 0 over the course of say 10s.

Another possibility would be make it that it permanently reduces your killer’s movement speed by something like 8% but you are always Undetectable. The only hitch I can see would be it could be a little overpowered on Nurse, but maybe not since she would move really, REALLY slowly when she’s not teleporting. 🤷♂️

Why? It literally incentivizes the most boring and obnoxious playstyle in the game: camping
SoloQ is literally screwed if the Bubba decides to insidious camp in the basement because no one can tell you that he is camping in basement. My rework idea might be bad but I want the perk to be changed to make it more interesting and useful other than camping.

Ngl, the scariest thing to see in game when you are new is the camping leatherface in the basement come out of nowhere. After the first time, it gets old really fast but I can see that as appeal for the game and them not wanting to remove it by that regard. Idk, I think keeping it a stealth perk is great but making it less niche would be nice too.
