one thing the developers need to do for killers
PLEASE revert the Adept achievement progress. it shouldnt be "get merciless" it should just be "get a 4k" again

It was always "get a merciless". The parameter of what is or is not a merciless was changed from 5k bloodpoints in each category, to sacrifices with the "Victory Cube" update, to Emblems in the "Emblem" update.

Yup, pretty much this and I think their reasoning for not changing it not essentially boils down to "it's too late to change these achievements because reasons", something about consoles not letting them change achievements or something on that line.
I wish all adepts worked how the challenges work: you don't have to use JUST the teachables, you can use a 4th perk as well, as long as you have their main 3 perks equipped, and then you just have to 4k or escape. Ironically those archive challenges are a better showcase of adept than the actual adept achievements and they should really try and push a change for adept achievements to be that instead.

technically no it wasnt. a 4k isnt always a merciless, it can be ruthless which doesnt grant the killer adept.

Basically the criteria has always been a merciless killer. This has never changed.
Originally, to get a merciless, you needed 20k bloodpoints, 5k in each area.
This then changed with an update known as the "Victory Cube", which updated the requirement to hook states. 1 point per hook, 2 for a death, up to a maximum of 4 points per survivor. You'd need a certain amount of those to get a merciless. This is likely where you're getting your 4k statistic from.
This then changed to the Emblem system we have today.
My point is that the requirement has always been a Merciless, it just so happened that a 4k equalled a merciless way back when™

then just make it so you can get adept for both ruthless and merciless. that would be the simple way to fix things

If only life were that simple. Consoles exist and make changing achievements that are technically possible to get a pain in the ass.

I earned Adept on all the killers I own over the last few years by getting Merciless Victories.
You want to cheapen these achievements just so it's easier for you to get them?
