The Amanda's Letter add-on for The Pig has been Kill Switched due to an issue with incorrect RBT count.

I think BHVR overreacted to Billy, Freddy and Deathlinger
yo,
and then so many players wonder, why generally much more Huntress, Nurse and so on are played. I don't think it's just because these killers are more popular.
In my opinion they deserve nerfs, but the way BHVR did it, I don't think is good. They literally killed these killers in to the ground, so it's just not fun to play them anymore. I only use them when I have a Daily Quest anymore.
Do you still play them?

They have the tendency of changing the parts that were being complained about and changing things that weren't complained about on top of that with unnecessary nerfs. That being said, I still play Deathslinger, but you definitely feel his TR nerf.

I still play Freddy but he is undoubtedly a weak killer to a point where I feel powerless in chase for most the match since being asleep has so little downside

They massacred my boy.
Poor Freddy...

Deathlinger = Deathslinger with Insidious. 😄

I never really played Freddy or Hillbilly.
However, Deathslinger I did used to play. He was my 2nd most commonly played killer behind Legion. After his nerfs, I tested them out twice... and haven't touched him since. I also actively reroll any of his dailies. They did him so very dirty.

I missed the Hillbilly train, rode over to the Hubba Bubba Choo choo. I was originally a Freddy main, up until his Rework. I was excited for the changes but was overwhelmed by how terrible he felt afterwards. At one point I was a DeathSlinger main, but dropped him after the TR nerf. Currently im a Pinhead main. Those three are the only Killers I’ve P3 with every perk.
Hard to love a character when you know that at any moment the Devs can one sidedly destroy a Killer for no reason~

Freddy and Deathslinger yeah, but Billy had a few problems. Overheat while never is usually a problem is an unnecessary change

if it was up to me i would completely revert hillbilly including the animations and the addons because spark plug was needed in most common loops, if you were playing in the top MMR against perfect survivors. i would also mostly revert freddy but with a few buffs such as all survivors begin asleep and the pull time is 2-3 seconds shorter (the invisibility flickering remains and adjusted accordingly). for deathslinger i would just add much more range and projectile speed.

The worst thing about nerfs/reworks is that they ALWAYS go overboard.
Did all of them needed a change? Yes.
But outside of the things that were a problem, they got slammed with additional nerfs on their parts that weren't EVER a problem.
I hope Billy players will get some buffs in the future. I don't play Deathslinger, but by the amount of Slingers i face, we can see how hard they were hit. And my man Freddy... He didn't need to be obliterated, but i feel it would be hard to make him balanced without making him busted again...

It was funny, cause they said themselves that they "liked where Billy was at" BUT

The horrible thing about HIllybilly, was in the post about him getting nerfed, they started by saying he's in a good place and dosen't really need any changes. Then went on to explain how they where going to nerf him. It was such a slap in the face and just such a strange and move made by obvious survivor favoritism.

"Buffed" Freddy was always bad. People just took some time to notice it because at the time there really weren't many killers that could transport instantly, had some admitedly some busted slowdown add-ons and he countered BT. Now 3 years after the rework and a nerf most are left wondering if they should have really reworked him. His power is just unbearably boring.
Deathslinger didn't really change besides from terror radius nerf which forces you to run stealth perks, he was just made clunkier. Survivors still have next to zero reaction time on short loops and you can start aiming from behind a wall in order to not get noticed.
And Billy... What the hell where they thinking? The only possible explanation I can find to his nerf is that they didn't want such a powerful killer being free, but then again, nurse is also free and she is absolutely bonkers, not to mention they gave her 3 blinks and omegablink back when billy only has 2 mediocre revving add-ons and another one that is borderline unusable.

"Now 3 years after the rework and a nerf most are left wondering if they should have really reworked him"
How?
How do you get that so easily when so many others do not?
How do you understand it right off the bet?
Who are you?!?

you reminded me of Peanits saying that Space Billy is "adopted by the dev team and officially supported."
It didn't age well xD

Overheat is a dumb mechanic that should go. If you use chainsaw like 2-3 times, your heat instantly will be something like 70%. This mechanic really limits his chase (especially curve) ability.

freddy sad

So damn unfair.

We all agree that Freddy needs buffs.
Give him Snares and Pallets as Basekit (switching by tapping CTRL, Dream Projection by holding CTRL) plus an Addon-Pass or rework him once again.

Not true at all with slinger, a good player will do the same you do against curving billies, not hug the loop when the killer is about to cut a corner, paired with the horrible sensibility in ADS, slinger will miss or you cancel his shot and you can cut the corner safely, not really hard.
The terror radious is a big hit yeah, but the time it takes to pull up the redeemer also affects the reaction time of a survivor, making it impossible to get sniped if you are looking behind you.

I agree with you for the most part except the "don't hug the loop" part. I personally don't have an issue with that, if I see a survivor doing it once, it's mostly a matter of guessing correctly the next time you find yourself in that situation. But yeah, you can't really go for long shots anymore against really good survivors.
I used to main Freddy before his rework, he was pretty much my main from the time I bought him (which was like 2 months after getting the game on PS4) to the time he got reworked. and from the beginning I knew people were really sleeping (no pun intended) on him. I won't deny he had a lot of issues especially on some pre-rework maps but his passive phasing when making survivors fall asleep in order to get some neat mindgames + his map control through aura reading were exquisite. The class photo + red paint brush combo made me had some of the most fun I have ever had in any game. I was really disgusted with how he played, they turned the dream world into a joke and made him into generic "anti-loop and map mobility killer" number 6. They could have kept his power and spice it a bit, but nope, they had to go all out and make him completely unrecognizable. What the ######### even is micro-sleep?
I think old Freddy had the issue of being a good killer on a time where only busted killers could get consistent results.

Yes, Dream Pallets are the only fun part about Freddy and i have no idea why Devs still think they are strong when they are clearly worse than snares and they are just used for fun.
It would also be nice to decrease time that survivors fall asleep to like 30 sec, reduce his TR and lullaby to 24m and give him Pill Bottle as base kit.

I don't think buffed Freddy was bad. Even in his current state, he is just kinda meh.
BT back then really carried Freddy to that A tier spot. If 2019 Freddy would step into todays meta i think he would be in a good spot in terms of strength, mid/low b tier.
Ppl overracted at that time, bhvr nerfed him into ground and we have the 2022 version of Freddy. Boring killer with decent chasing power, terrible add-ons and good teleport.
Freddy is basicly the easiest killer to fix, give him Dream Pallets and Dream Snares as base kit, new add-on pass, reduce time survivors take to fall asleep to 30sec and at last give him Pill Bottle as base kit and reduce his TR/Lullaby to 24m. And if this isn't enough to push him into b tier then just nerf Clocks.
It wouldn't be also a terrible idea to give him his own TR as well as voice lines just like Pinhead.

Freddy needs dream generators

I didn't play pre-rework Freddy but I do enjoy playing him. I run the palet add-on with endurance and spirit fury. Bamboozle to help in chases and Blood Warden to make end game funnier.
I just don't respect any pallet so they get used to throw them for a stun. Then I break them all, place a dream pallet and in mid game I get lots of downs with spirit fury or dream pallets.
It's so funny to make people believe they are safe. Somehow I managed to get a few easy 4k at The Game map with that build.

i think Billy should have a overheat mechanic but i think the devs need to buff his tilting or charge speed.
Freddy needs his old mechanic where he can see survivors outside of his terror radius OR People who are asleep do gens slower. either one is already a great buff. It encourages survs to wake up.
Lastly deathslinger, I think the devs need to give him add ons to Increase ADS time. so atleast they have to bring add ons to make him stronger so its not broken. And make his Yellow add one that causes mangle also causes hemorrhage.

that would be so cool, An iridescent add on or purple add on that spawns a generator when your in the dreamworld and when you wake up, the progress on that gens is gone because the gen is also gone. Meaning survs would have to wake up to be sure if its a real gen.

I still dunno why they didnt do more stuff like that in the dreamworld like even dream hooks could work tho it might be a lil glitchy

...I am impressed.
You have my respect, young one.

I mained Slinger pretty much from his release all the way to the introduction of MMR last year, which is where I quit the game until this anniversary.
For that time he was pretty much the only Killer I was enjoying my time with and therefore a good 90% of my Killer matches consisted of him. I dare say I got pretty good with him and sunk at least a couple hundred hours into him alone.
Ever since he received those nerfs though, I played him maybe 6 times. And I don't remember having a single enjoyable game with him, while still catching me trying to apply the old tactics and attempt trickshots that used to be possible with him (ya know, the things that made him fun to play), only to get harshly disappointed every time I try.
I find it genuinely depressing to even look at his character portrait in the menu and playing him fills me with a strong urge to stop playing this game alltogether again.
He was grossly overnerfed to the point where he was not just made significantly weaker (without receiving any compensation of course - lets face it, those "buffs" he got are utterly worthless), but lost his entire identity as a character. Any time I see him nowadays I just ask myself why they would pick him and not just go for Huntress, who plays almost the exact same but has significantly less restrictions on her power and is generally more deadly.
I do not play this character anymore. I genuinely can not stand him, he has become boring and ineffective, lost everything that used to make him fun or unique. He is but a sad excuse of a character in his current state.

Welcome to my world.

Old Freddy was great. Just a lot of people that didn't understand him, cried that he was too weak. He had weaknesses, don't get me wrong. But really, he didn't need a rework. He just needed a shorter dream period (7 seconds down to 5, down to 3 with addon's). Rework Freddy was a little strong, but really it was just a blight situation of everyone running the same build (BBQ/Pop/Stbfl). Now he's super clunky. Which is really what slinger and billy are. It seems like whenever they rework they just make a killer clunkier and then pat themselves on the back. It's too bad.
