Thank you BHVR for the DH nerf
yo,
Thank you, thank you, thank you,
BHVR, for finally weakening this crappy perk. There is a more than noticeable difference after the update. It was only a matter of time how unhealthy this perk was.
I am eternally grateful to you 😍

Id rather go against 4 Deadhards then 4 Sprintbursts anyday! Sprintburst is a boring perk to run as survivor and deal with as killer especially survivors who 99 their sb. This whole update is just…boring slow gameplay…

why ? Thanataphobia ? ya it´s a good counter vs Deja VU, Overzealous, Prove Thyself & Resilience
Time to use my Plaq and Legion now. Let´s goooo 😋

Are you serious? Every killer has advantages and disadvantages in terms of certain perks and combos. But I don't want to get off topic here. We should all be thankful that DH is finally broken.

crybaby killers get what they want I suppose. Killer was already easy and now its not worth playing.
5 -
oh i like that combo too and i will play it 100% for sure <3

Killers will find either way DH still OP or get a reality check and its not because of dead hard they lost... just sayin.
7 -
Killer was not easy, still isn't. Do you play killer yourself? Cause it's not easy if you go up against an actual good survivor team.
This is not about cry baby killers getting their way. This is about the game becoming more balanced and fair for both sides. And DH was definitely problematic and overpowered. It could extend chases too effectively by pressing a button.
Problem is only that the devs stopped halfway when they reached the point where they should have added some nerfs to camping and tunneling to help out survivors against those crappy strategies. And instead didn't.
So I hope that will follow very soon. There is no reason to buff killers in proper ways, which they did need, to make their fair and proper gameplay more viable, and then not nerf camping and tunneling at all.

The problem with your logic here is that 70% of games if not more than that are against solo queue survivors. So I will agree that when you run into a full team it is more balanced. When survivors have no way of communicating with each other the killer shouldn't have any issue getting at least 2 kills per game, I know I haven't when I was playing killer. Running into a team is so far and in-between that killer was already easy enough.

Thing about that is most top tier killers dont really care about SB so if you are a boring person that mainly plays those (me) game is amazing rn

Wow what a bait.

It is a good day to see it gone good riddance to all those annoying plays with it

Overcome works with otr? If so thats cracked since overcome looses its use after you get unhooked so that can be a good combo.

The only time killer is ever "easy" is at the lowest levels of MMR, when you're mostly facing solo survs with very little experience. Once you advance much, killer becomes the harder role and largely stays that way.
Solo teams will always be easier to win against, obviously, but at higher MMR you're going to be running into experienced survs the majority of the time.
Of course I also make the case that at higher MMR (like anything above low-mid), solo isn't actually that bad, because having put in that time, most everyone is actually going to have developed some game sense. It's not like when you start out and no one on your team has any idea what's going on.
I play almost exclusively solo, and find my teammates to usually be pretty competent, save for the occasional potato slipping in.

Yay? 2 extra percent and before you say "plus 10 seconds gen time" like everyone else, that 2 percent adds .2 seconds to the extra 10

Getting to higher MMR means nothing. I have a friend I play with that was able to reach iridescent and he is not that great at the game. All you have to do is play and sooner or later you will reach high MMR. I guess I must play more that you then because when i reach high MMR I seem to always get paired with survivors that are not good at the game. I pretty much always solo and have had plenty of issues. If the devs would just add a way for survivors to communicate (maybe something like apex legend's ping system) then I would be more inclined to agree with you. I stopped playing killer because it was so easy that it wasn't fun.

MMR and Grade have nothing to do with each other.
Getting to iridescent grades doesn't mean much, but MMR absolutely does.

This still makes absolutely no difference on solo queue's. I play a lot more than I should and still get paired with crap teammates. A lot of times I will be the last one standing because my team can't keep away from the killer for more than a few seconds.

Some people have already gotten the new dead hard timing down perfectly, its crazy, but at least it got nerfed for distance

I don't play as much as some, but I have over 2K hours in game, and by and large my solo teammates aren't awful.
I mean if your baseline experience is in a SWF, then it might seem like it, but when you get a group of players all with many hundreds (or thousands) of hours of experience, the odds that they're going to just be clueless aren't high. You don't have comms, but most of them are going to have a good idea what the right play is most of the time.
Again, that isn't to say it doesn't happen, because matchmaking is far from perfect and it does on occasion, but since MMR was instituted it's much less common to get a total grab bag of a team.
I've faced solo teams at higher MMR that were miles better than SWFs I faced at lower levels. The only time I consistently run into potato squads are at like 4:00 am, or when just starting with a brand new killer.

It’s really not cause 85% of the survivors in higher MMR that used DH were trash at using it..

Actually I’ve caught so many people out of position because they don’t have the old DH to save them, it’s made an extreme impact and goes to show what happens without a get out of jail free card. I for one am so happy it’s gone and my skillful play is rewarded and not stolen by an OP perk.

I'm glad Dead Hard finally got nerfed. It was long long overdue.
Is it dead though?
It might still be the best exhaustion perk in the game. No other perk is on demand and it can still be used to absolutely rob killers.
Victor still quivers in fear of the inevitable boot to the face he'll get after getting blocked by Dead Hard.

Meh in my experience, a team of good solo survivors can still definitely win against killers. And killer against them is also not easy. Though I guess it kind of depends how much you utilize camping and tunneling. If you go full camping and tunneling, than killer is rather easy often enough. But still, even a good solo team can definitely do well.
This is why again I said that the problem is that the devs sadly stopped when they should have addressed survivors frustrations as well. I understand that giving solo survivors more information and nerfing camping and tunneling would have been a bit much for one such patch maybe. But they surely should have done one of those things. In my opinion the most important thing to do for survivors is to nerf camping and tunneling. There is nothing more unfun to go against than those strategies.

God, yes. DH was just fundamentally unpleasant to play against and it had been a basegame evil for so long. Survivors not having E to reach a pallet when you caught them out of position at a loop, or an undo button when you mindgamed them, feels as good as when they reworked DS so that it wasn't a shield to act with impunity for the next 60s.
Now it actually feels skillful when someone catches me out with DH.

Definitely agree camping and tunneling are huge problems and they severely ruin the gaming experience.
2 -
Yes exactly. And now that killers got buffed, the devs have the perfect opportunity to nerf camping and tunneling. Properly. Not just 5 seconds of Endurance and Haste.
That's the really disappointing part of this patch. DH, the biggest chase extender, got nerfed, and killers received a bunch of nice, small buffs, that all together definitely make noticeable impact. They should have nerfed camping and tunneling as well.
And honestly, I think they will have to very soon. Because killer queue times have already increased this evening, and I am sure it will get continuously worse in the next days and weeks.

I have no idea how. It's nerfed properly now. Only the most extreme killer mains would still complain about DH.
It got it's needed nerf, I have no idea how anyone could still complain about that perk.
