100K BP for 2k shards? why?
Did I miss this in the patch notes somewhere? You used to get 150k.

The patch notes don’t explain why it’s 100k versus a larger number, that was the question the poster was asking.

There's no real reason to reduce BP from spending shards by 33%.

So from my understanding, it is because you can now buy it more times per rotation? (so you can buy more BP?) but you would have to spend insane ammout of shards that are absolutely not worth the price tag. Honestly, even before when it was 150K, it was not worth it. 150K BP you can have within an hour of gameplay ezi, while you could maybe make like 150-200 shards on avarage for that same ammout of game time.
It should be worth at least 300K.

I use my shards for BP as I believe in supporting the game with buying cells. Now there is no point in cashing them in.

You can't buy it more times. It still 4 times max per rotation. Pretty sure it's a "we reduced the grind, you don't need those points anymore" thing.
It was 150k (I made it up but sounds nice and meaningful) because the average cost of one bloodweb was 50k, and after purchase you have to spent those 150k to find all three tiers of the perk (buy three levels of bloodweb). So since you've unlocked this perk already - here your 150k to level it up. Smth like that.
And now you already have this perk on tier 3 so what do you need those 150k for? Say "thank you" they let you get those points in the first place. /s
I don't know, sometimes it was much easier to spend 2k shards to get 150k bp just to roll RNG couple more times (bye-bye, trying to fing BT for the 200+ bloodwebs) or complete the gestalt (if I wanted reach 50 lvl but made it only to 48,5 and don't really want to play today anymore). I didn't want to spend 2 hours playing (q time included), I wanted BPs here and now. It was nice opportunity and... well, maybe it was't worth it economically, but it worked for me, I don't buy skins for shards so why not.
And 100k? Nuh. Meh. 150k wasn't too many, and 100k for the same price is awful.

Even if you had all characters on P3 - you still need to spend over 1 million bloodpoints per character to unlock the "normal perks".
So 28 million bloodpoints to get every perk on every char after p3 on all chars.

Yeah, I agree that 100k for 2000 shards seems a bit off. 100k bloodpoints is literally 1-3 matches worth of points. 2000 shards is I think at least a few weeks worth of gameplay. It’s a really, really terrible trade.
Or think of it this way, doing that trade five times would earn you 500k bloodpoints. That’s about 1/3 a Prestige level I think. But it costs you 10k shards, which is more than enough to buy a whole new character! So by that metric 10k shards should probably be closer to 1.5 million or 2 million bloodpoints, basically trading a new character for Prestiging an existing one.

Seems like we are agreed that 100k bp for 2k shards - Considering,
= Shards can now unlock perks on ALL characters (Big deal if there is a meta perk and you dump 12k shards and get it on everyone),
= You can buy more and more cosmetics as the release more

A baffling change. I always thought the ratio of shards to bloodpoints was horribly low when it came to the Shrine, so why make it even worse? With the current exchange ratio, an entire character is worth 450k bp. Think about it.

2k shards was always worth way more than 150k anyways. I wouldn't transfer any amount of shards for bloodpoints, shards are much rarer.
