Are you devs happier with the new kill rate?
It’s a bit better now or you want it higher?
Comments
-
I'm guessing they're going to want to give it more than 24 hours before they decide if they're happy with how it's going or not...
35 -
This is a very disingenuous question.
It's been barely more than 24 hours since the patch went live. Not even if this question were made in good faith would it be reasonable to even assume they already look at the kill rate data and draw conclusions from it.
23 -
Playing killer now is easier than hello kitty super cute adventures
26 -
It's been a day. They will probably need at least a few weeks to see where things settle.
10 -
I reckon we'll have an answer to this in a few months, probably after project W is out.
The mid chapter after it perhaps?
1 -
literally lol 3-4k's are easy
5 -
I wish they actually shared what the kill rate was before.
8 -
They’re very unlikely to change anything right away unless it’s clearly game breaking. They’ll want the new metas to stabilize and everybody to get used to the new system before measuring where it’s ended up. I can’t imagine they’ll tweak much until after it’s been in place a few months.
4 -
3 or 4 days could be late to revert this monstrosity of chapter
4 -
Ah of course, a post by dictep, should've guessed it was one of those people. But hey i don't expect much better from you from what I have seen over time.
Maybe, just maybe, give it more than a day so people can adept to the new environment?
But i am afraid many survivor won't and just the first hook deaths and DC will increase.
12 -
With people you mean survivors, don’t you?
0 -
They are not going to calculate a new kill rate after 12 hours of update lmao
4 -
Apparently, the phrase "small sample size" isn't one that everyone has heard before, or understands.
2 -
So playing killer is similar to how playing survivor used to be?
8 -
Nah, i have kept a list of biased people from this forum in my head and you and a few others are on it.
And yes there are also killer biased people on it, funnily not as many as extreme as on the survivor side but here and there they pop up.
Sadly their Sluzzy counterpart Lord Tobi is no longer with us since unlike Sluzzy i guess they weren't banned for only a month.
3 -
Biased? How many times since the new patch you didn’t 3-4k?
1 -
Give it a few weeks before they start jumping to any conclusions. 24 hours is hardly a good indicator when players are just settling in to the new meta.
4 -
This can Be true if devs made 10 new perk changes, but we got nothing but otr. So I can tell you in few weeks it will be the same kill fest, but with killers vs killlers
1 -
last one is from january it's not that long ago, pinhead was highest at 60% I bet he's at 75% now
2 -
Yea that's why I wish they'd share it so we'd see how much it was since it was "low"
3 -
Given the trend of the last 2-3 years, they will take about 4-6 months before addressing balance issues, as long as there are no major bugs or unintended features.
Unless, the devs see a clear dip in their bottomline aka $$$$. In that case, they'll get on top of things faster than a ########.

It's amazing what changing Dead Hard can do. (which is the most impactful change) It's almost as if survivors weren't as good as they thought they were, and using Dead Hard every game was actually a detriment to their gameplay, cause now they are cluelessly dying every game. Imagine that.
9 -
It's been 24 hours and this is the biggest meta shake up dbd has seen in a while. It's going to take at least a week before people start adjusting to all the changes and likely won't see things start to stabilize until at least a month out.

I wanted them to buff Sadako, but that was not what I meant.....
I played first time after a long break, super rusty, made bazilions of huge mistakes, survivors were great... Nah, didn't help them at all. Scared trying to play survivor....
0 -
It was not only dead hard that got changed in case youre still ignorant to it, you should read the patch notes with the killer basekit buffs etc
7 -
Lol at all the survivor sheep saying 4ks are easymode..
I'm a 3k hour killer main ain't much changed.... And I play nonstop swfs.
Dead hard being gone is about it. Gens still fly. Losing too
2 -
Yes biased, since the majority of what you post is either jabs at killer complaints or crap like this stupid 3-4k argument.
You don't even know how I play.
And I made that very clear over the last year and the countless times i said it on this forum. I played the last 2,5 years for the survivor and aimed at 8hooks/0kills aka i have average 0-1k and the 1k only if i mess up hook states or the survivor don't rescue at first hook. I don't claim to be high MMR i claim to represent the casual killer that don't go for kills but BP and gameplay.
But this is just another example of your behaviour on these forums and a confirmation for my first post.
Edit: Also, i stopped playing in January with the exception of 3 evenings during the anniversary event.
2 -
With all these people suiciding on first hook and DC, yeah. For sure the kill rate gonna skyrocket.
2 -
They will check it in few months, dont worry
3 -
Matches where 1 or more survivors DC aren't included in kill rate stats.
3 -
That's what have been said yes. Meanwhile, the MM / MMR system still doesnt work. /doubt
I guess we'll see.
0 -
I for one, suspect that kills will drop, if not now within the next month. Proportionally to the amount of matches of course.
1 -
that statement is false just because there is no "survivor" in this regards, there is solo survivor and swf survivor. So which one do you mean? Or do you think they are the same?
1 -
I think the devs should wait a bit and give people time to adjust. The patch has been out for what? Less than a week. How to you expect survivors to adjust to it that quickly especially the more casual players.
Survivors have to find new ways to run (shorter speedboost), which of the buffed and nerfed perks are still worth it and how things affect each Killer. This will take time. Like: How good is the buffed Botany Knowledge? Is Dead Hard not as dead as you think? And many more.
Survivors need to find their new cooky cutter perk-loadout now. This can take time. Some need to learn how to loop better (no Dead Hard when you lost the mindgame) and some need to get rid of past muscle memory (looping). Also buffed perks from Killers need adjustment in playstyle: Overcharge and Call of Brine require you to touch that generator.
And these are just the things I come up with right now...and I am not a good survivor.
As such: Please no quickshots just because "Killrates are too high". Killrates are always to high when new Killers or new Killers perks come out...but survivors are not dumb or helpless as you make them.

Seeing how I only ever play solo when I play survivor and it was easy before the update, I have to assume swf was easier. So, my statement is true.
Playing killer now feels much fairer than before, which survivor mains think must mean easier.
1 -
Well i am a (solo) survivor mains, but i do play both sides. The fact that i did a number of killer adept achivementes on killers i dont even play often tells me it is way easier. The achivements on the few killers i do play regular are way harder, because of the higher mmr.
0 -
I don't know I play both sides in same amount I find the game unbalanced too, my winrate as killer is probably 80-90% and my escape rate in solo Q probably around 20%, and I played a lot almost finished the rift
I mean average solo Q teams just lose against decent killers atm there is no suspense at all, not fun especially because everyone play nurse/blight/spirit
