What do you like about the update?

I'm tired of seeing so much negativity here. In my opinion, the update has been mostly fine. The perk, map, & gameplay changes have allowed me to have more fun recently. My favorite change comes with the new tiles added on some of the older maps, giving us new loops to learn.

What do you all think is the best feature brought by the update?

Giving me a chance to take a break and do other games. I have been doing DBD a lot as of late. (I'm a killer main, but they effectively removed my boy ghostie from the game, so I don't feel much incentive to play killer, now).

However, I will say, lightweight is pretty fun to run as a survivor, now. Iron will is barely noticeable of a nerf, at least on claudette. Can barely hear her, so im still running iron will. Spinechill is alarmingly overpowered now with the surprise nerf reversal and massive buff to it. Was running it last night. Not a single match was the killer ever able to find me while I was running around doing gens unless I was doing saves. Guaranteed safety bubble? Survivor's dream. It also makes you entirely safe from all stealth killers (hence my ghostie sadface).

New distortion if you ask me this is now an A tier perk

also new overcharge is fun to use

And lightweight has helped a lot

I assumed that Spine Chill would be worse. I'll have to try it out, thanks.

Aye, they eliminated the nerfs against it and super buffed it. Now it let's you know if the killer is within 36 meters of you. No longer have to keep a look out for the killer. Lights up and you weren't moving? Headed your way. Red line starts to deplete? He's getting dangerously closer. Starts to fill again? He lost you or isn't after you. We're you running somewhere and it lights up? You're walking into killer territory. Just turn around and work on a different gen. Just have to start at the icon and you instantly tell if he broke chase from you without even having to look at him. S tier perk now, and completely invalidates stealth killers entirely. Heck, can even safely work on gens without the need to keep an eye out for them sneaking up. Absolute safety.

    Holy.....

I thought that the Spine Chill change was a direct nerf. I just tried it out in a match and it has many features that I had no clue were implemented.

This perk is definitely busted. New Spine Chill is now my favorite part of this patch.

Almost every change is great. My only problems are that the Self-Care and Ruin nerfs were unnecessary and OTR is busted now.

Other than that the patch is solid.

Lightweight is cool, and I like being able to recharge Lucky Break. I saw the new tiles yesterday and had fun exploring. I like the prestige rework too, just wish I'd had the time to P1 more of my survivors and killers before it hit (I thought it was end of July)

I love the DH rework, makes it a more skilled perk to use which I enjoy as survivor and makes my killer games better because the DH for distance was BS

That's what I'm saying. It literally completely in every sense of the word overpowered where makes you completely safe from stealth killer sneaks, and beyond stealth, it gives you a guaranteed safety bubble where you know you are in absolutely no danger. Completely brokenly overpowered. You don't even have to look around for the killer anymore, especially when pondering if it's safe to come out of a locker, if safe to keep working on a gen, if safe to grt an unhook, and so on.

Macmillan tiles feel neat. Wish the progression rework was cooler. Everything else is meh.

The update has been great! More tunneling and camping. I'm so happy that the hot discussion here rn is that spine chill counters stealth killers!

Not losing items when prestiging. Never understood after all that grinding your reward was emptying out your pockets.

I've got a lot of free time now that I don't play survivor. Can try out other games and financially support devs who care about their playerbase.

As Killer, it is immensely satisfying going up against an ex bully squad that desperately needs E to get them out of the messes they get themselves into.

Lethal is awesome, especially with Darkness Revealed. DH nerf means playing M1 killers is enjoyable again.

Many cool buffs to survivor perks, Hope for example can be very strong if the endgame lasts a while. Noed being revealed is very good.

Well I like the new basekit BT and speed boost. I no longer have to worry about a random player unhooking me just to get downed again because they have no BT. Also the regular BT is pretty dope now as it lasts like forever. Seeing a Killer who tries to tunnel that person I unhooked with it is just hilarious.

Perk buffs are here and there, give one take one, not too bothered either way.

Gen speeds are virtually unnoticeable for either side tbh.

The best thing is the 10% increased speed on breaking pallets, kicking gens, and attack recovery. It makes playing killer a much smoother experience, and less clunky. I don't really care either way about the 10% reduced speed boost survivors get, I just don't want to be stuck in animations longer than I need to.

Love the meta changes, using other perks and going against other perks/builds. Also love that killer is good enough to play again and feels like a threat more as survivor also. Before killers were mostly a joke even us solos did not respect killers.
