what does everyone think of OTR??
I like this perk a lot, it can help me out by not getting tunneled early out of the match.

As a killer I don’t thinks it’s all that bad, had it activate long after the survivor was unhooked for about a minute. Once in two separate games. No where near the amount people were claiming ahead of the patch it would be

Otr seems fine now that endurance can't stack and it's disabled in the end game.

OTR seems like a nice pair with Deliverance

No, the only mistake was OTR. That perk has no right to exist being a BT on steroids. There is no reason for BT to exist when this abomination is in the game and BT is already a pretty strong perk as it is.
When SWFs start abusing 4 OTR on the same game, I expect a nerf in 3 weeks because the game will be unplayable.

It's not even that bad, and 80 seconds is a long time for a survivor to not be doing a generator.

Some people were excited that iron will was no longer going to be 100% reduced sound, and then the 100% reduction got shifted to OTR. It's so awful. Why are perks allowed to be a 100% sound reduction, and be immune to stridor?

How exactly they will abuse? They will need to be hooked for use it. So they will give you free hooks for use it or you are just not good even after this buffs? Which one?

Lol survivors got a single semi decent perk buff in the entire update when killers get about 40 and they still whine saying it’s broken yet a survivor can’t even ask why thanatophobia was buffed without being called whiney, the double standards r painful…

It's still awful, because survivor footstep noises are still unreliable, especially during a chase.

And even then it's only 80 seconds if the survivor does literally nothing.

I've still only played a few games since the patch but honestly I've only had one survivor take an Endurance hit and I'm not even 100% sure if it was from Off the Record or something else. And the hit they took didn't even matter in the long run, I got a 4k anyway.
I'm sure it's a good perk, but at least so far it's hardly been a factor for me. 🤷♂️

It works through both hook states so it's better than DS now but it won't give you much distance compared to DS sadly so you're going down anyway.

IMO it is worse than DS. Because with DS, you had the chance of getting Endurance due to BT and then have DS, if you go down. OTR has its advantages, like working two times or not being countered by slugging. However, the overall distance is far less.
I had OTR today against an Oni. He had no problem to overcome it. (Got camped on my second Hook, so no chance for a second OTR)

True but imo 3 seconds and a chance to miss the skill check + can be countered with slugging makes it worst than OTR , I changed my perma DS slot to OTR yesterday. It's better than nothing I guess.

Not quite. The aura reading + grunts of pain reduction will always stay for 80 seconds. Only the Endurance cancels itself out.

I was talking about 5 second DS. With 3 seconds, sure, OTR is better, without a doubt.

It seems ok when you consider that a killer can counter this perk if they use STBFL.
Also it means you aren't doing anything productive if you are staying protected.

Off the Record not activating when the exit gates are powered has it in the right spot. It hasn't been overbearing at all.

With it deactivating at endgame and the fact endurance doesn't stack anymore I think it's fine. A decent perk but not OP.

4 survivors using OTR while you going for 3 hooks on everyone means that if they all decide to abuse it and bodyblock you with OTR everytime then it is 8 health states you're eating throughout the match without any benefit for you.
One survivor using OTR aggressively is manageable, but 4 are not.

It's helpful but players are using it wrong. Sure, it's a long window of endurance is great but some players get unhooked and think "well, i'm gonna try to convince the killer to chase me for the next 80 seconds." Now i'm not gonna pretend that someone with endurance distracting the killer is rarely gonna be helpful. The problem here is perks sometimes puts game sense on the back burner. If you're behind pace on gens or another person/people get hooked or something you need to get things on track. One person choosing not to advance game state is EXACTLY what the killer WANTS you to decide.

Honestly I haven't used it much because when I did use it I didn't get much use out of it. When you're getting tunneld off the hook you typically get hit quickly and so BT would suffice. I think overall I prefer BT because it still works end game and OTR and DS don't. I'm also using Adrenaline over OTR and DS simply because of this reason.
I also think I prefer the nerfed DS over it because you can be hit with BT and still use your DS.

Good point, thanks! The post I replied to was comparing it to Borrowed Time so obviously Endurance was the main concern for them, but the stealth aspect of Off the Record is presumably useful.

So what? If they bodyblock you, hit them and tunnel them. They are not making good distance after hits anymore, thanks to general killer buffs. It should not be hard to tunnel them right?

It seems ok? I see a lot of survivors trying to force it which is a bit dumb considering it's suppose to be an anti tunnel perk.

I would like to see them shift it to 4 to see if there is a happy medium, but if they revert it to 5 I really don't see an issue with it, I think they nerf it not because of DS itself but the fear they had of DS+OTR which is why I think maybe 4 seconds should be tried first before the full 5.

Unfortunately, it is pretty much the only anti tunnel perk, and it has a tell. Survivor coming off the hook has grunts of pain? Time to turbo tunnel they have no good anti tunnel protecting them!

It's good, but very situational (At least the Endurance part of it). Can really help against tunneling in some aspects.

Killers can just swing when you get off the hook to put you in mending state then the perk won't work as an anti tunneling perk. And one thing i don't get here is that devs nerfed ironwill to 75% while they could simply keep it at 100% and just add that extra exhausted condition.

DS is joke after nerfs, i have no issue to catch them again.
And honestly, i am almost never seeing DS in trials anymore. People dropped it.

It is still a solid perk, it just depends on your positioning. If you have terrible positioning and get downed on the corner of a swamp map, of course, you will get downed again quickly. But using your DS on the middle of a map like Suffocation Pit is just as effective as before since you can get back on looping and continue to waste a killer's time.
