It feels like solo matches are going progressively better.
The utter beginners are more rare which makes matches way better.
I only got two hard campers and got tunneled twice on a 5 hours session.
Just saying.
(But I got an impressive number of Executioners and Blights)

Yes, my teammates have improved over the span of the day (with the exception of one toxic body blocking claudette...).
What i noticed were some really long matches. Where i got around 28-36k bloodpoints. Which isn´t nesserarily a bad thing.

We’re in a period of flux where a lot of people are trying survivor who didn’t play it much and where a lot of survivors used to use Dead Hard and are getting used to the pathing they need to take when they don’t use it (e.g. with Dead Hard they could run a loop three times safely but if they try without it they need to switch at two.) So while the patch is intentionally meant to raise kill rates, some of the seeming low skill survivor players I’m seeing, at least, are due to not being used to the new system yet. Over time though that should even out.

It's like the Survivors are getting used to the meta changes, almost like the day 1 doom-posting means nothing

Maybe it's because all the crappy survivors are being put in their actual skill range or they're quitting. Either is good :p

It's getting worse for me. On release I escaped 9/14 games as survivor.
Today I'm currently 1/7.
Played 3 games of Killer today as well, 4k on Hag (shackles on Lerys lol), 4k on Trapper, 3K on Hillbilly.

About the same for me before patch as after. I never used the Survivor Meta, but used the Killer Meta. Survivor i'm escaping about 2/5 matches, Killer i'm winning about 2/5 matches.
Then again, my win condition has never been escape/3-4k, It's always been "Did I get a pip?" On that condition: Killer I depip 1/5 matches, Black pip 2/5 matches, Pip 2/5 matches. Survivor : 1/5 Depip, 2/5 Black Pip, Pip 2/5. So... pretty even for both sides. Solo Queue survivor only as well.
Survivor it depends if I have team mates who are still holding onto the "Crutch Meta" from before the update. Usually Dead Hard, BT, DS, and Iron Will. though most of the time, even I die, I still do plenty to get a black pip or pip. Depips are rare.
Killer it all depends if I get a SWF or not. Most of the time anyway, some solo groups are good.

I have noticed something I haven't seen anybody talking about, so maybe it's just happening to me. I've played solo survivor in all but one game since the update (where I played killer), and I'm seeing way more YOLO hook saves right in front of the killer's face. And a lot of these weren't against camping killers. I was regularly getting unhooked in front of the killer within 5-10 seconds of being hooked (except against Bubba), and I can only conclude that base kit BT and the assumption that players are running OTR is causing some survivors to be more reckless with saves. Many of my games have been a series of hook trades, and not always because the killer is camping. Once again, this may just be my experience, but I would imagine some other people have seen this as well. I'm the OK-est DBD player ever, so I'm probably in trash MMR. LOL.
I've also seen more survivors giving up on first hook. I don't know if this is going on with everyone, but it seems to be happening a lot more in my games now. First survivor downed in at least half the games has quit on hook, leaving a 3v1 with 4 or 5 gens left, and we would have had a good chance of getting 3-4 out if everyone had played normally.

I won't be able to play again until Saturday, but yesterday was a nightmare for me in Solo Q. Loads of camping and tunneling. Loads of d/c's, survivors just killing themselves on hooks.
The only matches where we had a shot were when team mates actually genrushed. That thing Killers on this forum always said was a thing (but I'd rarely seen it). So one match everyone had Prove Thyself/toolboxes and 2-3 on a gen one after the other as much as possible. Still didn't escape because team mates would merely run out the door instead of going for end game hook rescues.
Most of my escapes were hatch escapes. One match a Blight was being super sweaty and continuously slugged me and the last survivor (for the almighty 4K), and while slugged I crawled off, hatch appeared right in front of me.
God it was just so much fun LOL. -_-

Matches are indeed way longer. I kind of enjoy that.
Hatch luck is eerie sometimes. Once I was chasing that Meg in Ironworks of misery. We were on the top floor as her last teammate died. She jumped down and the hatch appeared while she was mid-air falling right into it.

Only one that lasted longer was a plague with thana and I got the highest score of 19k.
Probably still just stuck in low mmr since the only game I escaped today was literally against an afk freddy.

It may also be you are still being grouped with survivors at a too high spot for their MMR. (At best, I'm "medium" MMR myself)
It's one of the kind of depressing things, in a funny way. I'm a way better killer than a survivor. I can see some of the killer I verse are not too good as I can easily judge their moves. But it's still enough to get me downed. xD (Unless its a Nurse, then I can keep up a bit)

The only 3 man escapes against Trapper and Dredge. Both killers have bad chase powers. And you are saying survivor is good lol? Please share some screenshots against decent killers too.

How should I know? It's the matchmaking. Bad luck? I'm pretty sure you are a better survivor than I am (assumption made remembering some of your other posts) so it should improve soon.

Yeah, we really shouldn't underestimate competence of most soloq survivors, they will adapt, learn and improve.
And with increase of killers and decrease of survivors, player count would finally normalize between them and MMR could start working again.
It's getting only healthier, well as long as it survives of course.

But dredge has both mobility and decent chase power, he is nowhere near "weak killer" especially now lol

Mine were the same. A pretty mixed bag, some escapes, sometimes I was unlucky and died, sometimes I was bad and died and sometimes all 4 got out. Just like I want it.
For the record, I mostly play with 1 friend on discord.
The biggest difference to your games are my Killer: I have not played against an Oni in ages and Slinger was off for even longer. Had 2 Slingers and 2 Onis (Titan skin, so good) yesterday. Good matches, good players, nice to see those killers. Also some Legions, a tunneling Nemesis and a camping Huntress and one Pinhead...I finally got to see more Killers, which was quit nice.
Same, same. I had few of those and mostly good matches. Patch was nice for me so far.

Dredge is decent killer but he is suffer from DbD maps. Most maps are still so busted.
