Dang post deadhard i have no fear when lunging
It feels weird. Me and a survivor coming up on a loop and i just swing with no waiting for 3-4 seconds sniffing their back. Or just when we are running forward in general i can go for long lunge swings and not get right up against them. Is this what non-dead hard feels like? Personally i love it. Everythings pretty much perfect except for stuff like thana (refuse to touch it) but all in all the game feels fairly healthy. Anyone else enjoy it? Like the perk changed the games playstyle a lot. You had to follow in fear and wait. Now that its pretty much worthless you don't need to be so afraid.

Ive been trying to get Adept David post dead hard nerf and I've been feeling it so hard lmao

Lol i do feel for the survivor end. But my god did the damn perk change the gameplay as a whole. You had to follow close behind. Not go for long swings even when a survivors just holding forward. Because they could extend the chase. And of course everyones favorite dh for distance. Like i never realized how much it impacted till it was gone.

It's wild how impactful "will they or won't they Dead Hard" turned out to be. Chases are so short now.

In fairness, me doing the same means I did actually give a survivor Dead Hard value earlier, lol.
Still... it's nice to not have to worry about DH for distance, too.

No more moving your mouse up and down to bait it. No more running Unrelenting in revenge.
Good survivors can still extend chases with micro jukes and smart movement but mistakes will be punished far more often.

It's great. Really shows how much of a stranglehold DH had on the game.

They should of just nerfed dead hard then waited a few weeks to see how the game was effected then went from there. Let survivors try to adapt a bit.
Dead hard was way more impactful than a lot of people would of liked to admit. It was used as a crutch most of the time and now that crutch is gone so a lot of solo survivors just got smacked in the face. Add in the killer buffs and solo survivors are getting smacked in the face some more. It was too much all at once.
I really hope they buff solo survivors. There is no excuse right now why Kindred is not base. Just remove being able to see the killer aura.

I've just played a couple of killer games. In one of them a Nea managed to use DH properly (without cheating).
DH is still good, it's just more difficult to use.
I'm more a Sprint Burst user myself.
edit: brain fart, I should really go to bed.

Yet no one is complaining about the Dead Hard change.
It's almost like a whole bunch of other factors are making playing miserable for one side.

Hardly any upvotes shows you're barking up the wrong tree. I never once used it and still know that it shouldn't have been touched, just like Iron Will, and Self-care among others.

Lets ignore the 75% pickrate and universal hated opinion of dead hard being stupid when used for distance. And now that its gone the entire game itself feels different. It was probably one of the most broken perks to hit the meta. But your entitled to your opinion.

I am aware the survivor side definitely needs love. And stuff like thana needs to be lowered. But thats not the point of this discussion.

Current dead hard still can counter lunging tho

New DH is at its best when countering lunges, but it's more of a matter that not every single person in the lobby will always be running it. If you lunge and they have it, you're still getting punished, but the chances of that happening are way slimmer.

Yeah im fine with taking the risk personally. After making this discussion i did give 2 dhs value. But most of the other games i didn't have to worry about it. And it feels nice not being so common. Now its like "oh they have dead hard. Nice!" Unlike before where 90% they did and used it for distance. Its a risk reward type thing.

It can its just that its rare i don't really mind running into that 1 survivor that uses it. So then i just play differently around them. But old DH you had to play the entire game different. So it definitely feels better imo.
