The reason Basekit BT was introduced was to reduce the need for survivors to run the perk Borrowed Time and to reduce camping and tunneling in general.

Basekit BT is not working and here is why.

Killers are just waiting 5 seconds before re-downing survivors because they know that everyone has basekit BT. From the games I've experienced as survivor, tunneling and camping are the same or maybe even slightly worse. You still feel as if you need OTR, BT or DS. With the 10 increased gen speed, tunneling and camping is much more rewarding for a killer. A 5 second BT doesn't fix that.

Basically, Killers are abusing the 5 second BT and 10 second increased gen speed to tunnel and camp at gen 5, even more.

    People knowing that everyone will have 5 seconds of BT and ae playing around it. No way, I don't believe you.

    But in all serious, people developed the dribble technique to work around old DS... you think people wouldn't work around 5 seconds of BT. The devs must really think so little of their players. I mean these are the same people who designed DBD with the intention of survivors dropping pallets and killers just following behind breaking them. So they don't give their player base much credit.

    But hey they tired. So who knows, maybe they will look at it again in another year if you behave.
