Are most survivors now using PROVE THYSELF?
First few games since the new update, 2-3 survivors in multiple games using it.

Since the made Gen take longer... of course the Survivors would use perks that made it easier to do Gens
24 -
Well we need something to counter the increase gen times and slowdowns
12 -
I assume it still gives extra bp too? Faster gens more bp makes sense to me
14 -
It's a great perk, and since best perk has been nerfed, they can choose to use it.
0 -
I started running it because there's a noticeable difference in gens getting completed when there's no prove thy self being run.
15 -
If you are against thana killers, like 80% of my current games, is mandatory if you want to reach endgame
or be ready for 40 min games
8 -
It definitely feels mandatory if you want gens to take a reasonable amount of time with all the slowdown stacking going on rn.
5 -
I always used it got the faster BP and gens :) happy to see more ppl using it
0 -
In solo queue it’s kinda become mandatory.
6 -
thats what i thought when i saw it. probably getting frustrated with most matches being thana or other slowdowns.
i was only using oppression or scourge hook and i was struggling to keep up with how fast the gens were going still. so i got fed up abit, put on thana myself in the next game, won the game with 2 gens left up lmao. BHVR really neeeds another think about the perks imo. if somebody said to me, get rid of pop or thana and PT can go, id be happy with that. not really fun perks anyway.

I don't take it off and would recommend all survivors using it. Makes a huge difference 👍
1 -
what's funny is that BHVR tries to make players dont overuse some perks but in the process they create the need of some other perk to be overused.
Maybe i am not forced with using Borrowed Time every single time anymore but now i am being forced to use Prove Thyself if i want to somehow reach endgame in slowdown meta.

Can you be any more dramatic, Liza?
1 -
Consider it dramatic, but it is true
2 -
I'd love to see you wearing a boa 😍

I've been running deja vu, prove thyself, resilience, and adrenaline , the only downside to the new genrush meta that's coming in is that killers who don't run slowdowns are gonna feel forced to when theyre having squads with gen builds at high level play, it helps a ton when the slowdowns are there but there were several instances last night the killer didn't have the slowdowns and they just got walked all over, I'm talking like 1or 2 hooks and all the gens done already

it's really clutch, I'm using it a lot more now. But still I try not to coop gens if I can help it, even with the speed boost I feel like it'd be more efficient sometimes to just find a new generator.
0 -
I love your name LMAO.

It's more efficient to separate when the slowdowns aren't in play but if you have slowdowns stacked up it's better to repair in sets of 2 because the repair speed buff will actually save you time compared to trying to do a 3 minute generator by yourself, so I guess you would say early on it's better to start separate but then team up after your first gen pops and to negate the pressure that pops up from slowdowns, but that's just my opinion we all have different one.

I mean yeah gen times have been increased
0 -
Especially now you can get 10k BP per category

The meta they're creating is a unhealthy one that's very cut and dry, you want to negate slowdowns? Run gen builds the give big buffs to repair speed, BUT!! If one side or the other isn't running a gen build or a slowdown build, then they suffer due to the way this meta is. When killers who aren't running slowdowns now get rushed into oblivion they feel forced to have slowdowns to compete and when survivors don't bring anything for gens and they take 3 minutes a piece it's pretty much a gg if they aren't staying up in chase long enough and being mindful of resources. Overall it's a vicious cycle that's creates very stale gameplay no matter what side you're on, I think there was a better way to change the meta without forcing such a boring playstyle.

I've put it on and I do reccommend it if there are a lot of slow downs. Toolboxes are useful too unless there's Franklin's. If you don't want to use a perk slot for Prove Thyself, the toolbox option is a good idea with addons.

I usually use Prove Thyself, but no other survivors are doing gens anymore so I'm usually repairing them all by myself, getting the high score, and then getting the hatch.

Gens take an additional 10 seconds to complete. So given that the only gen speed perks survivors have require:
- You to be injured for a 9% bonus
or
- You to break a totem and not get found for a 8-16% bonus
or
- You need to find another survivor for a 15% bonus
Is it any wonder survivors are choosing the perk with the greatest reward for the least risk perk? That's just common sense.

I have noticed an uptick and I really, really hope so. One of the largest problems pre-patch is that survivors wouldn't stay on gens. When hooked I would often see two people crouching being scared to go for a save and the one person doing gens leaving since they thought nobody was going for a save. I appreciate the concern for my welfare but just risk the hook trade so we can all get out. Three people is better than zero people for a hook save but it's still too much.
Another issue I also frequently saw was multiple survivors harassing the Killer and going for flashlight saves. Stop clowning on the Killer and just do a freaking gen since I want to escape instead of bullying the Killer.
Also, the most efficient way to escape is for each survivor to do a different gen while paying attention to potentially three genning but, since it's more BP or comfort or whatever reason, survivors group up on gens. I do it as well for the BP so I'm not criticizing; just stating and Prove Thyself turns that into a good strategy
Since Prove Thyself actually incentivizes survivors into doing their actual objective I really, really hope more people bring it.

Part of the new Genrush meta

It's better to push through Thana gens with a buddy? Maybe I'm psyching myself out watching that red bar take ages to fill up haha
0 -
It's all apart of the cycle at this point
The Gens take 50 more seconds to complete and with base Gen regression being the same Killers have to actually think about what perks they bring and Thanatophobia seems good now
0 -
Yea it sure is actually, if you both are running perks that help with gen speed think about the percentages, well give a two survivor scenario here, you have deja vu, resilience, prove thyself and the other person just has resilience let's say to help with gens, prove thyself gives you both 15 so that's 30 percent out the gates extra 9 each for resilience makes it 48 and then for deja vu that's an extra 5 so that brings us to 53 % buff on gens and we aren't even taking into account if they have a toolbox or if either of you has built to last as a perk, with 2 Commodius toolbox and the fastest add ONS you'll be repairing a gen at 253% speed all together and a extra five per survivor that brought deja vu but I'm not taking that into consideration because nobody will run the same exact build .

If most survivors are bringing Prove Thyself I'm sure that the killers could bring a perk to sow Discordance among survivors that stack on gens.
1 -
Extra BP and faster gens.
Why wouldn't people use it?
2 -
I already used Discordance pre-patch and I find it useful, or Survalence. If a killer isn't running slow downs, but does notice gens going by, gen monitoring perks are good.
1 -
What was said already but I'll also add I increased using Prove Thyself a long time ago. Whenever I am doing a rift challenge that requires cooperative action I know I'll go out my way to team up on gens so why not get something out of it like extra bp and faster gens? But yes, with longer gen times and regression perk buffs a little extra speed is necessary.

I am
Gens feel slow as #########

Well Prove Thyself was meta before and nothing changed about it (not even the BP bonus for some reason) and since gens take longer now it's much more useful if you can wrangle your teammates, which is easier than what you may think.

I personally like Prove Thyself, Deja Vu, Built to Last, OTR abd ideally with a Commodious Toolbox with 56 charges (32+ 16 from yellow + 8 from brown) for my gen build. 5% from Deja Vu, 15% from Prove Thyself, 50% from the toolbox for 56 charges and then you can recharge the toolbox a couple of times with Built To Last.
When the pressure is on you can do gens super fast. The downside is that Franklin's hurts this build badly, ideally it has a green item which you may have or not and you don't have any chase perks to help you (unless you consider OTR to be a chase perk) but if you get left on a gen you're a gen repair machine.

I called prove thyself and discordance meta the moment I read patch notes even before PTB.
Finally people start to use prove thyself to counter slowdown stacked eternal gens, yet you cant spare one perk slot for discordance?
3 slowdowns should be more than enough my friend
