Can we please get Spine Chill to what it was before?
You said you'd keep SC as a decent perk for hard of hearing people until you find a better solution but you made it so that you killed stealth on killers and you also killed the sense of awareness we need when we can't clearly hear TR or other sounds.
I would rather have the old SC back until you find a way for me and a lot of other people to know what's going on around us and you remove the TR trigger. It is unfair for killers and it's unfair for us, because it's bugged and according to it the killer is sitting on my lap every time it starts flickering.

SC allowed me to be aware if the killer was approaching, which I can't tell by the sounds, to prepare potential escape routes depending on where it popped up from.
Now it simply lights up and flickers and does crazy sht once you're within the TR. Even if the killer is tunneling someone else. So the information is way too much but useless.

I'm not really sure what either of you are talking about...
I was an avid Spine Chill user before. New Spine Chill is ABSOLUTELY stronger. Not only does it light up whenever the killer is within 36 meters (no matter what!) but it also visually shows the exact distance between you and the killer. This has given me tons of information in matches, allowing me to judge if the killer is actually coming to chase me or is instead looping someone else.
The only thing that is worse about the new Spine Chill is that the 6% vault speed bonus has been removed.

I didn't want spine chill to be stronger, I simply needed it because I can't hear much from my left ear. It helped me understand a killer was approaching so I needed to get ready for loops or look around for potential escape routes. Now you know way too much and it was bugged (maybe they fixed it already) and the distance meter was working the other way round...

You still get information of if the killer is nearby & how far they are, which is more than you got before. It's up to the player to take use of the information.

Didn't they buff it to have a visual indicator by filling the perk up based on proximity?

Spine chill needed to be changed it directly trivializes the undetectable status effect. The current version is still way too much for stealth killers and basically makes those killers unplayable on it's own.
The developers should do what they can to accommodate hard of hearing individuals, but spine chill is just too much. The value of that perk is pure insanity when it comes to playing against stealth killers.

Absolutely agree. One perk absolutely invalidates an entire class of killer....and it's the class having a hard enough time as it is.

My hearing is terrible from a work accident. The new spine chill is too confusing for myself. You don't need all that information, perk lights up and you look behind you. But then to change the premise behind the accesibility just means I have to entirely relearn the how the perk works.
By terrible I mean to hear anything I need to turn up the volume enough to do more damage to my ears to hear. Hence why spine chill was a staple on every character I had. Games recently have had me staring at the perk trying to figure out what it means instead of using it as a que to look behind myself or move. I've recently had to just take it off and have ended up just leaving after one or two games. I really hope this could either be reworked again or reverted. Its current itteration is too confusing for the intention of the perk.

You know, you bring up a solid point. When I've been using it, I stop looking around the environment entirely. I just stare at the icon to let me know what's going on. I can easily tell if I'm safe, if I'm in danger, and if I'm heading towards or away from the killer........and through all of that, I do find myself just staring at the icon.

I'm usually staring at the centre of the screen waiting for a skill check. Playing with 4 stack lullaby permanently means when I see the perk light up I would have to shift concentration, much the same as when you hear a terror radius you would look around to see where the killer is coming from. Like I do understand the intention behind the perks changes but we're hard of hearing not blind.

It definitely should not be alerting us to a stealth killer if not in direct line of sight. Devs know it's bugged, killswitch it until it's working properly for survivors and stealth killers.

Devs said its not bugged (which is terrifying). Mandy said they expect gf and Myers to start stalking from 40 Meters away, now (im being serious). Stealth is like the ONE thing they have going for them. That'd be like it causing deathslingers gun to not shoot, or trappers traps to not activate. They SERIOUSLY need to reconsider SC to not work against undetectable.

How did you know from which side the killer was approaching with old SC?

Now it fills up when they're getting closer to you, it's more accurate than the TR now.

I didn't, but at least I knew it was coming. Not being able to hear terror radius properly that was a great help.

Exactly what I was trying to say with my post. They wanted it to be an aid but it's more confusing right now; for us at least.

To put it simply, when the perk lights up it means the killer is within 36-meters of you. If they have a terror radius, the perk will fill as they get closer to you, and drain as they get further away. I think that part of the perk is currently bugged though and it's working in reverse.
