Survivors are giving up and deranking
I dont know if they're trying to lose mmr, throwing a fit about the changes (which arent even bad) or trying to mislead kill rates.
Even when we have destroyed the killer, all gens done and they have 4 hooks total people are letting them kill them at the end. Some players arent trying to do gens are are just fast vaulting round the map and others are suiciding right away.
Can we stop acting like the games unplayable and so bad? Only issue I see is the same tunnel and camping one but as always there are perks to help stop that

The game is indeed NOT unplayable. I can join a match, press keys etc. It is very bad though.

The thing about survivor deranking is that as far as SoloQ is concerned, it's a damned if you do damned if you don't. If you don't derank, you are going to face the sweaty and to some extent capable killers that will breeze through a match due to how they buffed tunneling and camping.
If you do derank and get killers that aren't that good, you'll just have bush hiding Claudettes and locker diving Dwight's that won't do gens even when you take agro.
I do wonder however, how the skill balance is going to change in the longterm. A lot of survivors are going to be pushed down to killers that are less experienced than they are. My current theory is that low level killer is going to be a pretty bad experience, because the average but not great survivors will be forced to play with you and use their skills to outplay you at every turn. Time will tell I guess.

Yes, it looks like people are trying to make it look like the changes were to much. So the devs roll them back.
Honestly, the changes aren´t as bad as everyone claims. The new slowdown meta isn´t as oppresive as people claim. Yet they refuse to do gens.

"there are perks to help stop that"
Nope, there are not. The perks can help to stay in the game for a few seconds longer, but when a killer wants you to tunnel out there is no way to stop them. Only chance is a SWF or a REALLY GOOD team in Solo Q to help you out. (and no, I never used DS, yes, I tried DH and that perk just wasn't for me and so I used it like 1% in all my 2 1/2 years)

Yeah definitely how I'm feeling, I havent died yet but it's still early days.
I'd rather this than the old gen regression perks stacked that take a gen from 99 to near zero.
People are definitely over reacting

My experience as survivor is showing the complete opposite though

The issue with that "genius" plan is that for it to work, it would need to affect "everyone".
However there are survivors having good games already, including solo-queue players.
Usually it entails not giving up immediately. Something that can be detected easily (hook phase duration, no meaningful actions, ...)
Since the queues were back a reasonable level yesterday (a minute or less during the night) I've versed several teams. Some did pretty well. Very few did gave up, none on my "high MMR" killers. *
Their builds were interesting too. OTR and, surprisingly, DH were common (and DH used properly, an indication of skill).
Humans adapt.
edit:
*) Oh, the cherry on top, my "highest MMR" killer is Nurse and every survivor has fought me to the end (meaning hatch or escape).

I'm enjoying the new DH, its pretty fun to use still and survivors should have to try to win. While I can only speak on my experience games have been pretty good
3 -
This is nothing new, they done it before and will continue to do so because they get results.
2 -
Old regression perks were much stronger. But people hear how Overcharge does 200% regression and pretend that the gen goes from 99 to 0 in 10 seconds or something like that.
7 -
Its only a matter of time until people get bored of throwing every game.
2 -
I'm pretty sure majority of normal players aren't interested in doing boring thing like such from the beginning tbh.
2 -
Oh yeah definitely. People forget you need 400% regression to match 1 survivor and even then the killer cant be in 4 places at once.
I prefer the slowdown than regression tbh, it's nice not seeing my gen drop a huge amount of progress
2 -
I hope so, for their own sake.

Then the only other explanation for that behavior is, that the normal players haven´t noticed changes and still try to gain distance with DH and want to get out of the match asap, "because DH doesn´t work".

Here is a comparison of the slowdown perks and yeah... its not as bad as everyone claims
2 -
Well, play yourself as surv, you’ll have instant queues

I only see DC from time to time. Giving up is fairly rare to see.
Guess noone is deranking and trying to mislead killrates because I dont see that in my games, right?

I do, it's been great!

To be fair, i think it is a mmr-issue. Before the patch, i had a blast since the last change. Since the patch, i again get the teammates that hide with 3 survivors left instead of doing gens or anything constructive. So the first kill (usually trough camping and/or tunneling) just turns the game into a 2v1 instead a 3v1 (i know this because i always run bound, and see a lot of what my teammates do).
Yes, if that point happens with 3 or 4 gens left, i dont care about the game anymore, because i know its going nowhere unless i hide too.

Camping and tunneling into Noed was also a mislead to kill rate.
Me double hook and let survivors go is also mislead to kill rate.
1 -
Oh i do. I always play the side with the shorter queues.

While you are very right about newer Killers facing stronger Survivors who know how to run the tiles and being a hassle the odds of them facing 4 strong Survivors at low MMR is not very high, odds are theyll face 1 good Survivor, 1 normal and 1 trash (and 1 random), as long as they can tunnel the trash or the normal out early its in the bag.
This game has the problem a very good Survivor cant carry their team unless the Killer is bot levels of bad, once you tunnel one and face 3vs1 with 3 gens left is almost universally a Killer win.

The first thought at the end of the video is "Hex: Ruin. High risk no reward."
1 -
DH carried players to mmr regions which are above their skill level. Now, without DH, they suddenly can´t compete and blame the game.
2 -
Realistically speaking, all those better be changed.

Agreed, if also stated many times that's why I hate noed and mmr based of kills not hooks

MMR based on hooks is also a failure on its own. Some plays only to ruin other's day. The fact a killer can 2 hooks for 2K to have their MMR lower, and continue doing so because it gets easier. I dont want that either.
