Something I've noticed about streamers
Why do they close their game capture when you mori them? One of them I went against even said "I'm just going to put up my mori blocker now so we don't watch it."

Just a few, I went to watch back a VOD just to see how the game went from their POV to see if my blinks were accurate guesses and I mori'ed someone and they pulled it up before I hooked them.

Because most streamers thinks they are getting stream-snipped every game.

Haha I was accused of that in one of them as Nurse.
Like I can afford to watch someone's stream at the same time.

The thing is Twitch has probably a 30+ sec delay between your game and their stream so you can't technically stream snipe. I found that out when I was playing survivor and wanted to watch another survivors Twitch stream after I got sacrificed and noticed there was a delay going on.

I never seen or heard of this yet. If anything, moris are way more interesting to watch than regular sacrifice. Even from survivors POV

A streamer can set if they want a delay or not
It can also be because of bad net tho. Mine isnt the best (aint the worst either) so I have about a 5 second delay whenever I stream

It's not even that there's a toggle on twitch you can turn on called "low latency mode" and it reduces the lag between chat and live to about 2 or 3 seconds, people saying there is a huge delay have no idea what they're talking about.

I have never in my life seen that. Not saying you're lying, but claiming that is anything that makes "streamers" as in the plural form of streamer accurate and not something certain individuals might do is kinda weird.
Only times I see streamers block their screen is in the lobby and they also try to block out names a lot of the time, which is nice all around. Both helps a little against streamsniping and makes sure no absolute gremlin watching the stream decides it's a heckin epic idea to harass someone that did something "bad" in the match.

Maybe they find it too gruesome for their audience? Not every streamer has 18+ viewers. Though IDK why they'd stream a game like DBD if that's the case.

I would send a link to a VOD I saw from when I mori'ed someone but they have mental issues so I don't want hate to go to their channel.

Huh I didn't know that...then why don't they just do that if they are worried about snipers

It kinda ruins the interaction if you've got people typing because of the delay.

Actually, you can put a delay on the stream and not the game itself,
some streamers have that (and god knows i never do) i rather have the mori up-front and then wait for the toxicity to follow suit afterwards

i never had this but i had many streamers accuse me of stream sniping like i don't have a brain and i CERTINALY DO NOT KNOW THEY ARE IN THAT LOCKER even tho the gen was just being worked on lol
tho honestly most streamers i play against tend to be really nice, there are rare occasion of 4 Stack and still somehow salty that they lost against a piggy or complain about noed

I've never once seen a streamer do this. Heck, I've seen streamers get disappointed when the killer has a mori but they die on hook.

Its so they can interact with their viewers more. I personally dont mind stream sniping.
If I lose, I lost to a guy with a clear advantage
If I win, I won against a guy with a clear advantage
I also dont take the game as serious as most players and just tend to dick around, keeps me in a better mood and Im sure its more fun to watch that than some one acting like a manchild

Step 1. Put a TTV in your name
Step 2. Have 1 viewer (including yourself)
Step 3. Complain about stream sniping
almost every TTV i see.

Yes you can... You can literally just know the general area someone is at and that is enough. It becomes more obvious if you are stream sniping though when your movements are matching that delay time. You can also just use it to play around perks. The solution there is to simply hide survivor names pre-game lobby from the killer just as the survivor cannot see the killer's name pre-game. The only defense people have for it ever is:
- So they can put on a mori if their name says mori.
- So they can lobby dodge.
Those are the only counterarguments I've ever seen. It blows my mind that people think the second one is a good game design take.
While the negatives are:
- Stream sniping.
- Griefing a player. I've have this happen several times.
- Switching loadouts because they played them previously or to be toxic because they know them.
- Teaming with a specific player or organizing farming. The former is why you can't see names on other games like PUBG, also so people can't stream snipe unless they were already in that person's stream.
- Lobby dodging.
The one actual reason to have names that is actually legitimate is to pair a name with the cosmetic but that is also a simple fix... Have the headpieces show the cosmetic. If MMORPG games from over a decade ago can manage animated versions of that I fail to see why this one can't. It'd look better in general anyways. I have no doubt people would like to see whatever their headpiece is on the list.

30+? Not at default. You can set the delay, but you can play without or even just few seconds.
Stream sniping and even more lobby sniping are possible in many instances.

Because no viewer wants to ask a question and get a reply a minute later etc, viewer and streamer interaction can be pretty important it's hard to talk about anything if there's a whole X amount of delay
