he picked killer, got into the match
first down, survivor dc'd
second down, put her on hook and stared at her, when survivor came to unhook, downed and slugged.
chased after the last 2 who were running in the same direction, downed one, left on the ground, chased after the last, downed the last survivor, put her on the hook, put the third person he downed onto the hook, and the last person bled to death from being on the ground for so long.
has a dc counter for how many people rage quit against him.
honestly, watching all of that go down i have no doubt in my mind the issue with this game is getting worse and more people are gonna quit. it was filthy to watch.

I've noticed a fair share of toxic streamers. Some are self-advertised bully squads.
I went up against an swf squad who kept swarming hooks, so when I'd try to hook someone I kept having to swat them away like flies to clear the hook. One started crouch spam taunting, so I gave them all the attention they were craving. Hilarity ensues. (Names redacted)

I feel like that's the main problem right now. Survivors are throwing tantrums and giving up left and right before the match even really starts, even more than usual.
We can't even gauge how strong the changes actually are accurately because survivors are just throwing.

And dont you try to think why they dc? Perhaps because UFC’s someone is down at the start you have 0-% chances of win? And with win I don’t say 4e, only 1e

No? Thats not how this works unless you make it into a self fullfilling prophecy by dcing when you go down. I had multiple games where i hooked 7-8 survivors before the first gen popped and then struggled to close out the game because survivors got it together and made a come back. Its not over till survivors start actively throwing.

the day before patch i was spamming plague games because she had like 30 flans and i was despretly trying to p3 my legion (didnt work out because my arm got hurt and i coulnd stand the pain for to long) but i had two games with the same streamer back to back and both games where lost because the first guy i found in both games killed himself on hook because plague unfair yada yada something and with three people they just coulnd make it. i got into his chat the second game and just farmed with them because these dc guys lose so many games for there teams its crazy

Agreed I've won plenty of survivor games with an early down.

That reason can also easily be "they're upset because they got found first" or "they're upset over who the killer picked" or "they're upset because DH got nerfed and they could have E'd to safety before".
A game is not lost just because of 1 early down. It's more likely but nowhere near guaranteed. 1 or 2 good chases and the survivor side can recover.

Down at the start have 0% chance to win against tunneler/camper. But against fair play Killer there is a chance.
Except Killers play like their life is at the edge if they dont get 100 streak 4k. That is the problem.
Devs & Killers expect Survivors to make a 90sec chase in the opening to give their team has a chance to win.

I think they DC because they are spineless losers who don't stand a chance winning anything worthwhile. They probably can only go against opponents that are much weaker than them. Bullies at heart they are.
Or their mum called them for bed or for lunch, it works too.

Two gens isn't one down, do the math. And for a single survivor, there is always the chance to find the hatch.

I watched one of my fave streamers talk about how soloq isn’t different, then he proceeded to lose every single match until he switched to killer lol

But the thing is, it does affect solo queue so much, that i am on the verge of leaving, because i cant get a decent match anyway.
Even if there is no dc, a lot of the time the killer is camping anyway, which doesnt make for a good game either.
No matter how much i love this game, there is no way to keep playing just in hope for a decent match.

Sorry but, idk why you're telling me "but" like I said it wasn't a problem or something. DC's are a problem for solo and to a lesser degree the killer, both get robbed of a normal game. The only ones who can avoid it are SWF by having people who don't DC on their team.
Survivors are their own worst enemy right now though, no one can even play the game normally because they are throwing left and right.
Camping isn't fun either, but its very difficult to come up with a solution that doesn't bork the game in other areas without a radical change to the hook/kill system itself. Which I'm not against at all, but realistically is not happening.

I had a match yesterday where I was Ghost Face using Brutal Strength, Fire Up, Endurance and Bamboozle. They burned a Midwich offering so that was the map (which I’m totally fine with, I do well on that map.) Not much happened initially, I got into a chase or two and they got a gen done, then I downed someone, another was nearby so I chased and downed them, and then I started hooking them. By this point a second gen was done or just about done and I was in a pretty good position with two people on hook and getting into a third chase.
At about this point three of them rage quit. Two disconnects and one just died on hook. Totally ruined the game for the last survivor and myself. Absolutely no reason for it other than being upset I got the upper hand, sheer pettiness.

Survivors giving up because they or someone else got downed first too fast, or because it is a killer they don't like, are huge red flags.
I've been lucky not to encounter these types of players on my team, although I have encountered them twice now as killer.
However, more than half (I would dare to say 75%) of my survivor games are killers shamelessly camping and tunneling the first survivor out, and often the second survivor as well. So SOMETHING needs to be done, and fast.
I was really looking forward to this update--I was a huge fan of all the changes, but the killers I am encountering are ruining it.

That's because the game is broken. It is probably killers impatiently waiting in queue and played survivor and found the game was grossly unbalanced.

The simple act of being downed or their opponent just picking a character they just don't like are not valid reasons to DC. Those aren't "red flags" Some survivors are just babies who overreact. It's a PvP game, you're opponent gets to play too.
This all happened before the patch as well, its not new.

Survivors also said that before, that's not new.
Camping and tunneling aren't fun, but the fault lies in the person who DC's and the devs for not addressing it. Not the killer for just playing the game. Camping and tunneling are part of the game and valid killer strategies to try and win. Yes I wish they weren't, but they are.

Thats not the same. 2 gens = 40% of survivors objective. 1 hook = 8% of the killers objective. Thats far from being the same.

I wasn't trying to identify the problem, because as you've stated people have and will disconnect just because they are emotional. It is a red flag, because the action itself is indicative of a larger problem. Whether that is a problem with the player, the game, or the way people play games, is not for me to decide.
It is BHVR's responsibility as a game developer to create a game that people want to engage with. People are not obligated to play games they are not enjoying, especially not with strangers; there is no social contract in online gaming.
When there is causality between player behavior post-patch and a spike in disconnects, you can't toss blame on the people who are disconnecting. You can comment on their character, and plead with them to change their behavior. But their actions are a direct consequence of negative change. To say they are at fault is to take blame away from those who've facilitated an unejoyable experience before them.

I understand what you're saying, but that also is under the assumption they had a good reason to be upset to begin with. If survivors are DCing more now just because killer's finally got a buff that they really needed, then that's ridiculous.
If the negative change is just them being so used to being overwhelmingly strong and now that they can't roll over most killers they're upset, I wouldn't say we should change things to suit their enjoyment. That comes at the cost of the killer player base, which as we saw before, is also a big problem.
At the very least the changes need to be given a fair shot and not have people overreacting and giving up en mass the first 3 days of the update.

He also banned me from his stream when I showed him the video, you know, because he was "really curious when he ever tbagged". Bullies get really upset when they are the ones on the defensive. XD
